Fade had found a different new freedom like this - or at least, a different work shift, as Rise insisted she take a breather. Prancing about, quite ecstatic and proud of herself, she found Cue's hiding place and promptly began to mime OH YOU'RE BEING AN OWLCAT AND YOU'RE SOOOO CUUUUTE, falling around and looking rather psychotic for anyone looking over from beyond the rock.
After an elaborate headsmashing motion, she held a hoof forward and attempted to scritch Cue's furry little owlcat chin.

"ENOUGH!!!" she howled, exploding from owlcat to full-fledged furious Legendary in the blink of an eye, "ALRIGHT! FINE! FORGET THE TASK! MAY YOUR CHILDREN TAKE AFTER THEIR FATHER! THERE! THERE'S YOUR BLESSING! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"

Fade let out an unholy shriek of triumph at Cue's crushing defeat, and pranced away in a manner most springy and unhealthy for a pregnant doe. Rise, however, looked over with much interest. "Oh, does that mean they'll have some Totoma strength then?" He beamed, evidently excited by the prospect. "The fellow was really strong, we could definitely use some of that around here."

Cue did not deign a response. Brimming with righteousness, dignity, and - yes - utterly crushed defeat, she turned around, head held high, and began to stalk away. It was time - for the rest of the day, at least, the rest of what was supposed (supposed!) to have been the quietest, most peaceful day - to go and be a Legendary somewhere else. Anywhere else. Anywhere, but here.
