Eden nodded, looking at Drashi before kissing his cheek, not aware of his thoughts but his expression gave enough away. Truth was more than Heze would have cried over him if he had been the one hurt. "I'll get Crown and Orion and finish checking the alarms." Offering him a rare smile as she headed off to do as he asked.

Sonnet nodded and rested his cheek agaisnt hers. "I know... your right..." He couldn't argue about having to let them grow up, but it all semed too soon. sighing and smiling a little, kissing Chan gently. "You gave me the stars, hardly seems a fair trade for you." His eyes lightening a little, nuzzling her. "I'll focus on being glad that theres just one male... I'd loose it if there was dozens of them chasing her." Unaware of any others... Thoguh now he would be looking at every single male suspiciosly... just great...

Heze lifted her head when she noticed he had stopped swallowing, giving a small cry only to half choke on the remaining medicine. Ending up swallowing the little left, lookign at Carlisle, noting the stallion looked unconcerned. Taking a moment to note Haki was breathing, but she was feeling a little odd now.

Carlisle, would have laughed had she not half choked, looking faintly concerned that she ended up drinking the medicine, turning his head to see who was close, noting Eden had left with Crown. "Drashi can you take Heze, make sure she drinks a lot of water, right away, lots of water... That will either flush it out and dilute it from her system or she will fall asleep." Not looking up as he starts to get thigns out for a poultice to go on the wounds now that the patient was asleep. Not stopping Auva but keeping an eye on her.

Auva paused as she heard Drashi being called to take Heze away.... she didn't like that idea, and suddenly felt very nervous about everything. She looked to Carlisle as if for reassurance..... but at the same time she realised she didn't know anything about him. Mummy, Daddy, Grandpa, Drashi, Crown, Heze.... all gone or going.... she gulped silently and shifted a little nervously even as she looked down at the bloody mess before her. What should she do?

Crown saw Eden approached and smiled at his sister, even if the action didn't fully reach his eyes. "Are you ok?" He asked, unaware of why she had come towards him.

Maion found himself circling, his mighty wings keeping in the air even as his head continued to throb. He was pushing himself too much... he knew that, but there was nothing he could do to stop it. This was his job, he needed to be here... and he would keep Kimi from hurting anyone else this day.

Haki remained still, his breath slow but getting steadier, at least until the warm sensation that had been flowing through his body had stopped... had something changed? He didn't know, currently he was trapped in the world of dreams.

Drashi heard his name and snapped to attention, looking to Heze in concern at the doctors words. Poison? No.... the doctor wouldn't have risked administering poison via Heze, surely not!? So a sleep draught, just as he had said. Funny how he always jumped to the worst conclusion these days... his faith lost on most.

He walked towards her, "Come on, Heze." He offered his side, not sure how stead she would be though she did look slightly green at the gills.... "Are you ok?"

Chandra smiled at her mate, "It wouldn't surprise me if there were more than one." She chuckled, even as she knew it would likely scare her mate, "She is so beautiful after all."

Carlisle smiled at Auva, gentle and reassuring, his golden eyes getle, seeing her fear and uncertanty. "If you wish to go, thats go, if you wish to help more thats ok too... Hes asleep, I wont let anyone harm you. But the choice is yours." With that he lowered his golden head, mineral and crystal dust glittering in his fur from where he had been working on something or other. He didn't blame the girl, many saw his fangs and were afraid.

Eden nodded to Drashi as he was caleld. "You are to come and guard while I check the alarms, we are taking Orion too... Safety in numbers and so on." Turning to head off to where Orion was, sure that Crown would follow.

Heze got unstedily to her feet, stumbling a little. "I feel woozy... and kinda numb, pins and needly... I swallowed some of the medicine that put Haki to sleep by mistake." Giggling the drug rather strong, making her seem a little high from the small dose she got. " My tongues numb... see" Poking her tongue out for him to inspect, soon putting it away when satisfied he had done so and giggling again.

Sonnet groaned. "Your a witch, you don't tell me things like that, now I'll need you to tell me who else so I can chase them off too." Not arguing at all that his daughter was beautiful, they were all lovely.

Chandra chuckled at her mates reply, talk about an 'insult'... "Hmmmm.... well she does seem to like Crown, do you not remember how she used to cling to him?" She teased, knowing all too well that they didn't see each other like that. "And my brother Drashi seems to have a particular soft spot for her." Again she was teasing, simply wanting to keep her mate on his hooves and distracted from the fact that it was likely Heze was feeding Haki his medicine... in a rather kiss like fashion, yeah, the guy didn't need to see that.

Drashi was worried, and even as he tried to catch Heze from stumbling he couldn't help but wonder why Carlisle hadn't at least warned her this would happen. He was even more worried with the giggling, and the sticking out of the tongue. "Is that so." He chirped, concern obvious in his features eventhough he was pretty sure she was too far gone to actually notice it. "Let's hurry and get you some water shall we? Should make you feel better." He hoped!

Auva hesitated for a moment, not because of Carlisle's fangs, she spent enough time with Crown around to be fine with fangs.... but she simply didn't really know him. Still, for Heze, she told herself as she went back to work. If she could help, she needed to. The herd wouldn't have tried to save him if he was dangerous, and her grandfather wouldn't have let Carlisle stay if he was a threat. She trusted her herd... and so she would trust them now too.

Sonnet glares at Chandra and her teasing, he was not pleased in the least and now would be watching Drashi and Crown closely

Carlisle looked up from what he was doing, seeing Auva still helping, smiling, glad of the help and company, it was jsut them left. Looking round to see Heze poking her tongue out at Drashi... That was different. Shaking his head in mild humour. "Theres nothing in it that will harm her, get her to drink a lot and she will sober up... it seems to not have been enough to knock her out but she will be kind of like shes drink for a while. She will sober up faster with water." Adding something to his grinding boat and going back to making the poultice, making reassuring noises to Auva and Haki, along with the odd. "Good... good.." at Auvas hard work. Trying to keep an eye on her for signs of over doing it.

Heze smiled at Drashi. "Hurry? Why?" Wandering along towards the water with him, but seeming to be content to go at her own pace and there was no hurry about it. Giggling smile more as she bumped into him.

Drashi blinked at Heze's reaction, even as he found himself soothed a little by the doctors words. Ok, so nothing to worry about, she was just acting drunk... whatever that was. "Yes, listen to me and keep moving!" He put a little of his commanding tone in his voice, though he was pretty sure it was overshadowed by his concern. Sheesh! He was turning soft! He nipped Heze's ear in the hope of snapping her out of it, "Don't you want to return to Haki's side?" Emotional blackmail... encouragement... whatever you wanted to call it. "If so... let us get you a drink and clear that pretty head of yours." He smiled as gentle as he could at her.

Chandra chuckled as her mate glared at her, but didn't comment other than kissing him with all the passion she could muster. "We can always have more foals if you are worried about them all growing up too fast." She meant it as a joke, but the moment she said it she regretted it. Nervously she turned her gaze away and looked to the ground... why had she said that, she knew that Sonnet didn't really more... or at least he didn't seem to. And after everything that had happened with Auva.... could she blame him? Not really.

Auva continued working, starting to feel a little tired. For Heze, For Heze.... She could sleep later.

Haki groaned in his sleep, his eyes flicking wildly behind his eyelids. Heze, blood, teeth.... that was all he saw.

Sonnet didn't know what to say, looking at Chan, moving close and nuzzling her gently. "Is that what you want?" Not opposed to it, but he would keep worrying about things... No one seemed to have gotten over that day yet, especially not Chan. Then again if.. when they had more foals, there would be more experience to them and more rules..... Still havign a lingering anger that she had just left with one of the girls. Fear gripped his heart at the thought of something liek that happened again. Chan trusted too easily, sure she took Auva to family but no family that he or Auva knew, thne again he didn't even know his mother in law.

Heze yelped as he bit her ear, turning her head and biting his neck in responce. Looking up at him as she walked. Smiling at Haki's name, looking a little sad too. "Its my fault he got hurt, he was coming to meet me, he was going to teach me some of his language..." Smiling up at him, easily distracted from her melancholy, blushing. "You called me pretty... your so sweet... but your prettyer than me... you have that pretty hair and ribbons... Such lovely Ribons.... And a purpose..." Leaning agaisnt him, letting him lead her to the water.

Carlisle started spreading the poltice over the wounds, seeing that they had stopped bleeding and were getting close to being closed considering they had been yawning chasims not too long ago, it was progress. Looking at Auva, his soft voice reassuring. "Auva... Rest now, have something to eat, or drink...You don't need to exhaust yourself."

Auva looked up, suddenly feeling a little dizzy. She blinked once, twice... but still there were three Carlisles. Ok, yeah, it was time to stop. She sat still for a moment simply trying to regain her balance. Who would have thought she would feel dizzy just from using her magic? Then again, she was held by the restrictions of the mixblood within her, blood that she was proud of.

The white of Drashi's pelt pinkened as Heze spoke, even if he knew she was just under the effects of the medicine. Leading her to the water he could see her parents not far ahead, they seemed to be talking.... Drashi was glad that Chandra and Sonnet had made up, there had been a moment when he had been worried their relationship would end; and he knew exactly how that would destroy Chandra... and how it would make him want to kill Sonnet to defend his baby sisters honour! "I will remind you of all that," He chuckled, returning his attention to Heze. "when you are clear minded again."

Chandra winced a little at Sonnet's question, not because he was being harsh but because she felt... awkward... wrong, she wasn't sure what word to use to describe how she felt. "I'm sorry... I... don't know." She admitted. In that moment she felt very much like she had just pulled the scab off a healing wound just to watch it bleed a little.

Carlisle watched Auva, keeping an eye on her as he kept busy with the poltice, letting her collect herself, starting to smeer the yellowish green stuff over the wounds.

Heze looked up at Drashi, grinning as he changed colour. "Your all pink!" She sounded delighted by the happening, not seeming to care that he threatened to remind her of anything. Walking along with him, her eyes wandering over the charms in his hair, looking at the wings on them as they moved in the light.

Sonnet nodded and nuzzled his mate, drawing her closer. "Its ok, in time maybe, for now we have 3 hooffuls to keep us busy. I'm not going anywhere so no rush, I love you after all my north star, always have, always will." No matter what... he added silently as he held her.

Chandra let Sonnet just hold her, absorbing his gentle heat, his fierce determination and his courage, changing it until it all became her own. He was her other half, the parts that were missing from her... but he always allowed her to draw on those strengths of his. "Ok." She said softly, not seeing the need to actually speak in that moment, after all, Sonnet already knew what was in her heart.

Drashi couldn't help but blush brighter at her comment! Drats! He only hoped she would forget about this.. because seriously, he did not want her holding it over his head, he wasn't sure he could ever say when he last blushed, not much could actually make him blush. "Heze, concentrate. Please." He was almost pleading.

Chandra opened her eyes to see Drashi and Heze, and so surprised she couldn't help speaking out loud. "Is Drashi.... blushing?"

Auva felt sleepy and found herself yawning. That was the sign to get going, she stood up and nodded her head in thanks to the doctor before making her way to the place she usually bedded down. It was close to her parents, hidden by bushes and a large tree. She felt protected there. Protection was so very important to Auva.

Sonnet just held chan, only looking up when she asked her question, not haivng seen Drashi over by the water. Looking at the stallion and then the sky, then back to Drashi. "He does look a little pink..." Sounding surprised.

Heze looks up at him and smiles. "I am concentraiting." She just wasn't concentrating on on what he wanted her to. Giggling a little again.

Carlisle stayed with Haki, making sure he had done all he could for the stallion.

Haki stirred, feeling a stab of pain that dragged a moan from his lips. He half rolled, unable to quite muster the strength to go all the way so flopped back to his original position.

Chandra smiled, "I wonder what she said to him." She chuckled then and kissed Sonnet, "I don't think I have ever made him blush... and trust me, I tried as a child!" She tried a lot!

Drashi pouted a little, "I fear you are lying." He sighed, "But as long as you drink I don't mind." He hesitated for a moment, and although he wasn't completely sure why he wanted to know he found himself asking; "What is Haki to you?"

Auva didn't take long to sleep. And when she did she slipted into a deep sleep so heavy she was pretty much dead to the world. It seemed she had pushed herself too hard after all.... but if it could save the creature, if it would mean she could see Heze smile rather than cry.... it was more than worth it. It meant she was worth it.

Crown looked to Orion, wondering why the guy still didn't manage to look him in the eyes... even with that bloody blindfold on, seriously what was he hiding with the thing? He turned, ignoring it all since he knew he was just being bitter. "This is the last one Eden. How is it going?"

Orion stayed close to Eden though he tried to make sure she had enough room to work, after all Orion never wanted to get in her way. He remained silent, his cautious eyes wandering around the area as if searching for any and all unknown and hidden danger.... he didn't want Eden getting hurt, even if that meant he did....

Carlisle had just finished the last of the poltices when Haki sturred. Standing, his legs stiff, heading to get some hot water to make a drink for his pain, one not as strong and not likely to knock him out, though rest would do the stallion good.... maybe just a small sedative to give him a couple of hours... Peeking in on the Sleeping Auva as he passes, smiling seeing she was ok and resting well. Pondering where to move Haki too when they could move him again... waking up in a mess of his own blood would not be good.

Sonnet glowered a little, not liking that Heze had an ability to make Drashi blush. "What Indeed...."

Heze smiled and stopped leaning on Drashi stepping forward to have a drink, washing the taste of the medicine from her mouth. Lifting her head after a few mouthfuls, that not enough to do what was needed but she had drunk as requested. "Hey Drashi... Why'd you go pink when I said your prettyer?"

Eden looked at Crown, her expression worried, wiishing she knew what was wrong with her brother, he seemed angry almost that she had taken a mate. Holding the rope while mossup her mouse tied the knot, quickly pulling it tight so the alarm fell into place secure again. "Done."

Chandra giggled at her mate, "Oh come on! This is Drashi, he is safe remember.... I was only teasing you earlier." She kissed him, "Drashi is probably just helping to keep her relaxed." Ok, so she really wanted to know what had made him blush but that was a conversation for another day.

Drashi was glad when Heze drunk some water, but he was sure that wouldn't equate to 'at lot' which was exactly what Carlisle had instructed. "More Heze." He commanded, "Or I will be extra mean to you in our next training." Not a complete bluff, though he was unlikely to punish her too harsh.

Crown nodded at his sister, "Good." It wasn't that he was annoyed she had mated, ok, maybe a little since he actually wanted that for himself.... but hey, in a way he still felt as if she had been stolen from him. She was his big sister! She had always been there when he needed him, and while he still was he sometimes had to question who came first... him or Orion. For a moment his thoughts turned to Kyran, they had only met a few times, but things had developed nicely... if nothing else they could be friends, of that he was sure... yet, eventhough it was small, a part of Crown was worried about taking a male mate.

Orion was oblivious to all of this, he smiled sweetly at his mate, his hummingbird chirping from the nest in his hair. His ears still flickered in an effort to pick up any loose sounds. "Shall.... shall we go home?" It was strange calling it that, he had never really had a home before... but whereever Eden was would always be his home now.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:13 am

Sonnet looked at Chan and tilted his head, not sre how to take her obvious teasing. In the end he sighed and watched Drashi and Heze for a while, turning his back eventually when he had a better grip of himself. "You are enjoying this far too much."

Heze seemed unconcerned at the threat and grinned at Drashi. "Answer my question and I'll drink more, I'll even let you ask some too." Splashing the water with a hoof but showing no inclination to drink more at this point.

Eden looked at Crown, finding herself feeling sad, there was nothing she could do for him, especially as she doubted he would be happy even if she didn't have a mate. But then she knew his problem was not a lack of mate but insecurity in his decisions and his given nature. He had yet to work out how to help Crown accept and love himself more. Her thoughts interruoted by Orion, smiling and nodding. "Yes, we should all go home."

Chandra giggled at her mates words. "Probably. But would you rather I smile or cry?" She knew the answer before he answered. Kissing him softly she turned her gaze to the sky for a moment, spying her father of all beings flying around as if searching for something. He seemed tired, his movements lazy and a little clumpsy. "I am worried about my father...." She said, almost absentmindedly, she had never had to hold back her thoughts around Sonnet and so mad no attempt to now, "He seems... distracted lately, and always seems to push himself.... " She frowned, maybe she was thinking too much into it?

Crown nodded at Eden and Orion, "Come on then, this forest is giving me the creeps today." And not simply because part of him was worried that Kyran was hiding within it somewhere. Hopefully that wasn't the case since Kimi was around, that was one curse he wouldn't wish on anyone; especially not Kyran.

In an effort to start a conversation and actually appear far friendlier than he had been during their little exercise Crown bit back some of his pride as he spoke; "How have you both settled into your new little love nest?" He was happy for his sister, really he was.... it was just hard to express that sometimes. "I have heard quite a few of the mares comment on how cute Orion is." Ok, so Crown knew that was likely to embarrass the stallion.... and yeah he probably did it on purpose, but he wasn't trying to be overly mean.

Orion blushed so bright it was a wonder it didn't shine through his black pelt. "Eh... em...." He gave up trying to speak. He loved being with Eden, he was still adapting to being so close to everyone else; but he had grown used to being around Crown. Even if he did sometimes catch the stallion practically glaring at him; in Orion's mind this was nothing but normal for two reasons. One, he was Eden's brother and two, Orion was a freak. He still felt that way, though since he had mated with Eden he had started to accept himself more. But one thing had changed in his mind.... it was ok to be a freak. That all said, he knew he would likely avoid the rest of the herd for a few weeks now.... 'cute'... who would see him as cute?

Drashi stared at Heze in disbelief, he couldn't remember a time when the girl had ever shown him anything other than the respect.... and perhaps a little awe. Yet this, this all seemed so out of character that it had him blinking as he forced his composure to fall into place once more. Still, he had a purpose. Get Heze to drink and he wouldn't fail in that mission, even if it meant he had to put up with some discomfort. "Fine. It is not right that a stallion be described as 'pretty'. Mares are pretty and beautiful. Stallions are handsome." Not that Drashi saw himself in that way, no, because surely if he was handsome the mare he loved wouldn't have abandoned him... and then the mare who had saved him from the darkness of his thoughts wouldn't have stopped coming... he was all alone, and there was no end in sight for that. His sons were grown, with lives of their own..... Drashi was left behind. "Now drink." He said, more in an attempt to change his path of thoughts. Lingering on the past had never done him much good. "Please drink Heze." He said, trying to be a little gentiler with the mare.

He only asked a question in the hopes that Heze would give him a break long enough for the blush to fade, something that had already started to happen. "So. Tell me about this.... Haki." He added swiftly, "For security reasons of course."

Haki moaned, his eyes opening once before closing again.

Sonnet looked up, following her gaze up to where Maion was circling, sighing. "He has always pushed himself, but now even with so many grown he pushes himself harder than before.... Everyhting is his reponsibility, at least in his eyes... Then again there are many things that could weigh on a mind lately. Personally I think he should just let us kill Kimi and be done with it, but that goes agaisnt what we are doesn't it..." Sighing and letting it go, he had no insight into Maion or his thinking, only guesses.

Eden gave a small smile, so small most wouldn't recognise it as such, but it was a smile none the less. Looking at Crown as he started talking and nodding. "I think we are settling in well, its nice there, jsut enough privacy so that we don't feel overwhelmed with company, but close enough to be safe. I'm glad mother suggested the place to be honest.." Looking at Orion, her thoughts mirroring his... Who had thought him cute and mentioned it? Not that it was a problem, but she didn't think Orion had met many of the herd, so it was a puzzle... Eden liked puzzles.

Heze smiled at the answer and obligingly took some more deep drinks of water, lifting her head to answer his question. "Haki... Hes a friend... He thought I was lost when I met him... I ws actually sking if he was lost..." Her smile at the memory fading. "He made thoes trinkets I gave mum and Auva to cheer them up.... after.... He was kind to me, and friendly... I liked hearing about how thigns were different where he came from..." I truth she was still getting to know Haki but she cared about him, even though he didn't seem to like her choice of life path she wanted to protect him from the evild in her world that he hadn't had before.

Carlisle wandered back to where Haki was laying, Checking on him while the medicinal tea he had set to brew, brewed. Looking around, thinking he would need a couple of other strong back so they could move Haki away from the ground soaked in blood.

Chandra sighed at Sonnets words but nodded, "She is his sister...." She said, "...so he won't kill her, perhaps part of him hopes to save her? I don't know.... but... I think it would kill him to have to kill her, even if he would do it to save one of us." She lowered her gaze back to the ground, the grass the sound of the water rippling through the lake. The world around them was teaming with life and love... but hatred and darkness lingered and clung like shadows to everything. You couldn't ever escape it. Clearing her throat she looked back up at Sonnet, "Shall we check on Heze's friend? And Carlisle? Perhaps he needs help with something? Or maybe he needs a break?" She understood well the demains on a healer during the panic and intense times. And while she loved them, loved her job, it was exhausting.

Crown nodded at his sisters words, noting the small sliver of a smile upon her face. She was happy, she never smiled unless she was happy.... he knew that, just like he knew it was all because of the strange stallion that walked with them. He may walk with his head down, but even Crown had to admit that he had a strange grace about his movements. Leaning towards Eden he whispered, "What is it really like?" He hesitated, but decided to finish his question since he had already embarrassed himself by starting, "Living with your lover I mean?" He picked the word love on purpose since he didn't actually know if two stallions could even become 'mates'.

Orion blushed at Edens words but nodded in agreement, especially upon seeing her soft smile... in his mind he liked to call them his secret smiles, they were for him -at least in his minds eyes- and so small that most overlooked them for what they really were. Something Orion hoped to never do. As Crown leaned towards her Orion looked away, happy to give the siblings some privacy for whatever it was Crown was asking. His eyes knew the path they were on, or rather the route since there was no distinguishable path cut into the ground, they would soon be back near the main herd lands. Which mean.... more people.

Maion couldn't see anything, and it was getting harder and harder to stay in the air. Reluctantly he landed, huffing and puffing a little from the exertion, he felt as if could sleep for a lifetime after tonight... and maybe he would.

Drashi quirked his eyebrow at that, but didn't comment. So Haki was for a different place, that explained why he had never seen a beast with bird like claws instead of front hooves.... and that birdlike beak of a mouth. Strange to Drashi's eyes, but he imagined they must look strange to him too. Still, he would trusts Heze's judgement, if she liked him, and felt safe then he wouldn't be instantly considered a threat in Drashi's mind... at least not in terms of attacking anyone. In the case of Heze's virtue, Drashi wasn't so sure about his innocence. "What is his problem with touch?" He asked, remembering how he had reacted every time someone had touched him. Knowlegde was power... but why was Drashi prying so hard?

Haki opened his eyes, slowly, the world was a blurr of green and blue..... where was he? His mind was slow to catch up, and even as his surroundings became a little clearer he knew he didn't know where he was. Pain lacerated his side, the smell of blood lingered in the air. He heard movement... and before his world went black once more he managed to chock out the words; "Nani yuko?" (Who is there?)

Sonnet nodded and gave chan a kiss and a nuzzle, looking round as Maion came in to land. "How about you take care of your father and check on Auva, I'll help Carlisle." Kissing her again and giving Maion a worried look before stepping reluctantly away from his mate and heading for the healer. He could never imagine killing his sister, but then she wasn't a homocidal maniac... But he let that slide, especially as he had a feeling his best friend next to Chan was her choice for mate. Smiling a little at that, wondering how the girls would take to having pink cousins...

Eden glanced at Orion as Crown asked his question, tilting her head close so he could whisper quietly. Her smile fading into a thoughtful expression as she works out a good way to answer him. Speaking softly. "Its nice, its like getting to play with your best friend every day, or to see them at least... When we want privacy we go about our own thing... But theres someone there anyway, so if you need it you can get a hug or some needed words... Or just simply a smile thats just for you. Being mates isn't just about foals and breeding... Its about love and being with someone that is so very special to you... After all, the word Mate itself means friend as well as spouse... Your heart decides your mate Crown, find the other half of your pair by following it." Kissing her brothers cheek, the cold logical Eden prmoting following the heart and soulmates of all things, no one else would believe it.

Heze drank some more water while Drashi asked another question, feeling a little more clear headed, though part of her still wanted to giggle. "Touch... Oh... I'm not sure... its jsut the custom of his peopl... or maybe just his herd... I didn't feel right asking as he doesn't like to talk of his family... They are in the earth... part of the earth?? I'm nto sure which it was... I generally got the impression that his family are among the spirits now.... So I didn't pry... Basically though for him, you do not touch another unless they have invited you to touch them, ot unless you are close family... Like parent and child, mates or siblings... No random hugging!.." The last bit said in a supposedly stern voice, ruined as she started giggling again. "I hugged him once as a thank you.... He got somewhat upset by that... its why he told me about the touching." Taking another drink of water, raising her head to look at him, the giggling faded again, looking right at him, a probing and thoughtful look but gentle. Heze might be stubborn and more than a little determind but she was kind and gentle too. "Why are you so sad Drashi?" Her question soft, having met and holding his eyes, seeing the pain from his memories there, wanting to take away the sad look. Drashi didn't deserve to have a look like that, he deserved better.

Carlisle looked round as the patient tried to move and spoke in some language that he didn't know, tohugh it sounded interesting. Looking up, glad to see Sonnet heading his way. Maybe the other stallion could help him move Haki and then go and wash, noting that there was blood still on his face and horn. Looking around thinking a place that would do till Haki was on his claws again.

Crown listened to Eden and nodded, not saying anything more in fear it would reveal too much. In truth he didn't even know if Kyran was his other half, was it posisble he was simply confusing his feelings? Kyran was after all the only other male Crown knew who also liked men.... was it possible he was simply attaching himself to the guy in hopes of not being odd? Had he really accepted himself? Crown wasn't sure, but as his heart thundered like pounding rain within his heart he had to question himself once more. He was scared, scared to accept what his heart had already accepted.

Orion came to a suddenly came to a stop when he entered the clearing of trees... he could smell blood! Since he hadn't been around when they had brought the strange beast here he hadn't see the blood, seen the claws.... he reared up. Fearing ripping through them. Had they just check the alarms to keep this creature from leaving? Or from worst entering? He wanted to bolt....

Maion shook his heavy mane, sometimes he seriously considered cutting it, but that was something for another day. He found himself wandering over to where Auva was sleeping, his silent granddaughter always picked the same spot to sleep in; and for some reason he felt himseld drawn to join her. Settle beside her much small form Maion drapped his wing over her. She was so fragile looking, she had been so hurt; the scars forever marring her ankle.... how had this happened? Why had no one told him of the troubles of his mates herd? It pissed him off, he had been kept out of the loop when he could have helped... what was the point of being granted extra strength and power if you could not use it to protect those you loved? To keep those dearest to yourself? What was worst... was that Sengdroma had known, she had known and never shared it. Now her parents were dead! Her kin were dead! And why? Because her stubborn father had asked her to keep it to herself... why had she not trusted him with it? Why had she smiled sweetly and ignored it? Things like that would never simply go away... and that was why Maion knew his time was running out for dealing with Kimi. He had looked into alternative methods of dealing with her and had come across 'clipping'.... if he dumped her in the moutain and clipped her wings would she ever return? Or would that be the same as Maion signing her death warrant? Maybe he should just end this endless to-and-fro dance of theirs before their herd were harmed in the same way as his meant-to-be allies.... but only by his hooves, only Maion could commit the crime and live with the consquences. Next time Kimi attacked when Maion was around... would likely be her last.

Chandra smiled at Sonnet and nodded, kissing and nuzzling him in return despite the dried blood upon him. No matter what he looked like he would always be her mate, she would always cherish him. "Ok." She smiled, before wanding towards Auva and... her father. Softly she sat before them, looking over at her father with all he cheer and brightness in her heart. "Thank you Daddy," She said, "For taking such good care of me and my family." Without her father, without his care and attention she was sure they would have been lacking so much more than they ever had. His strong stubborn spirit had such an impact on everything that sometimes she wondered if he was even aware of it.

Heze watches Drashi, nodding and drinking more obediantly. "Please..." She didn't know what else to say, and so she went back to drinking quietly. She could keep asking, but that would just bother Drashi, and she didn't want to do that. So she did what he wanted and drank the water. Head down, eyes lowered, letting him go and check on her friend.

Eden had given Crown another smile, letting him think quietly when Orion reared up, turning to him confused. "Orion?" Not knowing what was wrong she instinctively moved closer, not worrying about being hurt, just knowing it wouldn't happen but wanting to know what was wrong with her mate and make it better.

Sonnet gave the healer a nod and a smile, still trying to get over his golden hair. Others of Carlisles family had blond hair but not quite such a golden shade... and the guy sparkled... Not his fault, it was a hazzard of his profession but he still sparkled... To Sonnet it was odd, but he was a good healer and a kind stallion with much compassion. Stopping and looking at Carlisle. "Do you need any help with anything?"

Carlisle smiled at Sonnet and nodded. "I want to move him somewhere a bit more defensable, but also where he wont be a threat, if he is a threat at all... It also needs to be near enough for the making of medicine... carrying things a log way is not a good idea." Going back to looking around as he finishes talking. "I also don't think it helps anyone to wake up in a puddle of their own blood.... Maybe we should wash him.... Hmmmm... No, later... I just got the poltice done" Shrugging having answered his own questions it seemed he went back to trying to decide where would be the best place to put him.

Drashi approached Haki to see Carlisle and Sonnet talking, he heard something about moving Haki and had to wonder if that was the best thing to do. Still, if the doctor suggested it it couldn't be that much of a risk. "I shall help." He said, his stoic look back in place and the blush gone... as if it had never happened, as if nothing had changed or fractured within him. "If you are sure moving him won't bring him more harm." He added, as if seeking reassurance that it was the right thing to do. Despite everything Drashi didn't actually like seeing others in pain, and although he may appear uncaring to most of the world that wasn't really the case... if anything at times Drashi cared too much.

Maion smiled at his daughter, "You are welcome sweetheart." He lifted his wings up on the opposite side, welcoming her into his embrace should she wish it.

Chandra beamed down at her father, gladdly accepting his offer and snuggling next to him. It had been so long since she had done this, she was his 'little' girl after all, his youngest and noisiest, strange how her youngest had turned out to be the complete opposite of herself. More like Sonnet, and his silent sister Symphony. "Thank you." She said again, kissing his cheek and resting her head softly on him, feeling very much a little girl. Her father was huge, and even fully grown she felt swamped by his sheer size... of course, he had grown bigger after Alignak had blessed him, and that was a story she liked hearing about.... her father had dreamed it, had met Alignak within the dream... only to wake up changed. How magical. How mysterious. A small part of her wanted to experience that too.

Maion held his daughter, kissing the top of her head in return for the gentle one he had recieved, "You chose well," He said, "Sonnet I mean." He beamed down at her, knowing all too well that she loved Sonnet with all her heart and soul, in much the same way he did with his own mate. Perhaps that was why he continued speaking, fearing that what was happening to him would one day happen to her... he would do anything to protect his daughter, to protect his family and her lineage. "Always be honest with him." His expression turned a little sad and he turned to look out over the herdlands, "There should never be secrets between you... ok?"

Chandra looked up at her father in concern but only nodded. What else could she say to that... and why did she suddenly get the distinct impresison that her father was in pain.... her mother the cause perhaps? How strange. She had never even seen her parents fight before.

Auva was oblivious to all of this, happily asleep though she did notice it was warmer, instinctively she snuggled into the warmth, enjoy how safe she felt, how loved and cherished. A smile spread across her features. She was safe here. She knew that with all her heart and soul, to the point that it was enough to rock her to her core.

Crown was startled by Orion's reaction, and followed after Eden without any hesitation, his eyes looking around for the threat... things seemed to be much the same from how he had left them, except there were several people lingering in different places now. He remained silent, seeing no reason to repeat Eden's question.... plus she was his mate, and Crown knew better than to interfere in the affairs between mates.

Orion looked to Eden, calming almost instantly, even though his eyes were still wide. "Blood.... " He managed, his wandering eyes looking past her to the injuried beast. "....what is it?" He was nervous, that much was obvious.

Carlisle looks at Drashi and nods. "I think Eden might have some things that will help us move him. As a rule I don't like to do so but I also don't like where he is or the fact that he is surrounded by his own blood...." Frowning as he looked over the mess that was Haki, healed though he was, there was no easy way to move him. Lowering his head and rubbing his poultice smeared nose off against his leg he looked up at Drashi again. "Hows Heze? Did she pass out?"

Sonnet was scrutinising Haki when he heard Heze's name, looking over at the pair of Stallions who were talking, finding himself frowning. "Whats wrong with Heze?"

Carlisle blined at Sonnet, realising the stallion had been lead away by that point. "Oh... Heze managed to get some of the medicine in her mouth that I made for her friend, I don't think it was enough to make her sleep, but it would have made her somewhat..... out of it. Drashi took her to get water, drinking lots of water would help it out her system." Shrugging managing to tone down what had actually happened as Sonnet was understandably touchy about his daughters virtue.

Eden looked at Orion then round to where Haki lay in his own blood, swallowing a little wondering if he was still alive, seeing the 3 stallions all stood talking. "He is a friend of Heze... A skinwalker attacked him. Sonnet and some others brogut him here to try and save his life..." Giving Orion a reassuring nuzzle. "Thats why Drashi said to take you and Crown with me when I checked the alarms, we don't know where the skinwalker is... " Resting her head against his neck, relaxing.

Orion knew that Eden was trying to relax him with her words, and actions, but par the gentle contact of her warmth against his flesh he was actually more afraid... a skinwalker... so they were trying to keep something worst out. No matter how much of a freak Orion saw himself to be, or how much he hated his Kalona blood..... he hated skinwalkers more, they killed for nothing more than pleasure, simply because they enjoyed watching the chaos that followed. Chaos was exactly what was happening in Orion's mind. He gulped, so close to bolting now that it was unbelievable.... "Can..." He looked to Crown, almost ashamed of himself, but that didn't change anything. He turned his attention to Eden and kept it there, "...can we go home?" His eyes were pleading even behind his blindfold.

Drashi almost felt himself blush at Sonnets question and Carlisles explaination, clearing his throat to push the strange conversation he had just had away he managed to say, in a near distant voice, "She is fine. The water helped to clear her mind, she was talking nonsence at one point." That was his defense now he realised, if she remembered their conversation he could blame in on her state of mind. "I do not believe she will sleep or pass out." He said with a soft nod, unable to look Sonnet in the eyes.

Clearing his throat he said, "So... back to moving him. We need to find Eden and see if she has anything, if not perhaps we should talk to my father... if he is not asleep, and ask for his assistance again since he is the only one large enough to hold Haki." Sure, Drashi wasn't exactly 'small' but nor was the creature on the ground.

Crown was slightly oblivious to what was going on, though as Orion spoke his eyes snapped towards the guy almost in disblief, he had known the guy was rather wimpy at times but all this because of some blood? "We might need you to help Orion, would you turn us down if we asked?" Yes, harsh, but he was in a harsh mood.

Eden gave her brother a look, one that said he probably wasn't helping but she met Orion's eyes again, her face calm. "We can, but will you listen to me before you decide if thats what you really want?..." Knowing he would, she paused long enough for him to nod, earning him one of her special smiles, the loving ones that only he was blessed with. "I know home is safe, but right now our fighters are all here, everyone is alert. Heze's friend was alone. We are safer here for now, but if you really wish to leave we can ask Alice if she sees more danger in the future before we go..." Her tone gentle having managed to get a little more about his father out of him, but not much, havign learnt that ironically Orions big bad kalona father jumped at his own shadow. Orion was braver than that, she believed in him but she would go home with him if he really wished it.

Sonnet blinked at Drashi, accepting the explanation and that Heze was fine. He knew and trusted Drashi, he was still getting to know Carlisle but found him to be good and compassionate. Tilting his head at Drashi blushing again wondering what on earth his little girl had said to get that reaction from him. "Maion is with Chandra, I think shes taken him to rest." Looking round to see if he could see them

Carlisle nodded. "Yes... Thoughwith his dislike of touching.... I've already done enough to upset him... I don't like tricking people but I like loosing them even less... " Shrugging, at ease with his choice, tohugh he hated having decieved Heze and used her to decieve Haki. "Lets leave him there for now, get one of Edens buckets, we can wash away the worst of the blood... No matter what untill he can bathe he will have blood smell with him. We just need to make sure that we keep an eye on this area more than usual, he ould wander off when drugged." Or worse, but he would keep the idea of a skinwalker turning up to himself.

Orion wanted to hiss at Crown, but settled for glaring at him instead. Only because Eden spoke to him, obviously wanting him to listen did he turn away. He nodded, not one to deny her anything she asked... even staying. She probably knew that, and even as he looked down at her smile he felt uneasy. The mention of Alice gave him chills... he really didn't understand what it was about Alice that made her able to do that, and the look on her face while she did rather disturbed him; though he kept that to himself. "Ok." He finally said.

Crown grunted a little, probably because Orion dared to glare at him... which only pointed out exactly how much of an arsehole he was being, still he couldn't seem to stop. "Oh look, he finally grew a pair." He mumbled to himself as he walked off, leaving Eden and Orion to their own devices, He needed something to do, something to hit, or maybe just run... yes, running seemed like a fantastic idea right about now! And so he did, his hooves striking the ground slolwy at first before picking up speed... and more speed... and more.... he was soon running at full pelt; circling around the lake since he had no where else to go. Tears well up in his eyes, and he hoped that no one was paying enough attention to him to notice.

Orion gaped a little as Crown left and then started running, he turned to Eden, hoping that she didn't hear her brothers words... though he was sure she did, "Do not worry. I fear he is simply in a bad mood and taking it out on me." Even if it did hurt, still, Orion didn't like the idea of Eden being mad her brother, no more than he liked the idea of driving a wedge between them. Yet, since he had no intention of losing her he knew Crown was simply going to have to learn to live with him.

Drashi nodded at Carlisle. "Ok." He coughed a little, "If we are worried about security... I will stay with him." No one bar Maion was higher than Drashi after all, and after losing not one but two mares he had had plenty of motivation to bury himself in his work and training. His muscles honed to perfection, and his instincts good and fast.

Haki groaned again, his eyes opening slowly once more though this time he managed to focus far easier.. only to wish that he hadn't. Not one but three winged creatures towered above him. Two of mostly white and one of purple... he was sure he recognised the purple stallion but it wasn't completely registering right now. Instead it was as if his entire brain was drawing a blank on everything other than remembering how to breath and the throbbing pain that seemed to radiate from everywhere. He looked up in silence, if they decided to attack Haki knew he was a goner.... a strange smell, something different from blood caught his attention and he found his eyes drawn to a patch on the golden haired ones leg... what was that? It seemed to be sticky and grainy looking but Haki was sure it was the smell... yet it wasn't coming from only the guys leg... but from Haki's form too. His throat felt dry and as he opened it in an effort to speak nothing came out. Sh*t! So much for not drawing attention to himself.

Chandra lowered her head to the ground and found the courage to ask her father something she wouldn't usually have dared to. "Dad... is everything ok... with you I mean?"

Maion was taken aback by Chandra's question, and it took him a moment to recover. But he nodded, "I think so dear," He didn't like lying to her and so found himself adding, "I am just a little... upset... at the moment." Though upset was an understatment wasn't it? He was fully pissed at what had happened, and couldn't help but wonder if even after all these years Scythe and his 'mate' Sengdroma saw him as worthless or pointless? Sure, he was good enough to have children with his daughter, was good enough to even be trusted to protect her... but to be trusted with other things... it seemed not. Yes, that really pissed Maion off.

Eden watched her brother run off, feeling more sad than anything. such words and actions were not Crown, he was not that kind of a stallion. It showed just how tied in knots he was that he let such emotions out at all. Shaking her head she looked at Orion, nuzzling him gently, before tugging his blindfold down just enoguh to see his eyes. Meeting his silver with her golden gaze. Giving Orion a kiss and settling his blindfold back in place, having just needed a selfish moment to see the love in his eyes for her. "I'm not worried... Hes not upset with us... He is lonely and fighting his own nature... I also suspect he might be in love and afraid of it. Or maybe he is afraid that the one he loves does not feel the same... Either way its not us. I supose its a weird kind of complement.... He trusts that we wont use this to hurt him." Nuzzled to Orions side.

Carlisle smiled a little at Drashi. "I wasn't planning to go far, at least not till he is much better than he is now." Looking down as Haki groaned. "Ah, looks like he is waking up.. Sonnet do you want to grab the bucket and get that water? Drashi get Heze, this guy will be in pain and we will need him to drink some tea, and he wont trust any of us to do as we ask."

Sonnet nodded and grabbed bucket from before, heading to get more water, though he had no idea how to make tea... Shrugging as he heads back with a bucket of water figuring he would leave that to Carlisle, the guy knew his trade.

Heze looked round as Crown raced past her and carried on round the waters edge. Taking an unsteady step to follow him and stopping. She was too addled brained and unsteady to be of any use as a friend. Dunking her head in the water and drinking more. shaking the water off of her face and mane. Seeing her father come and get another bucket of water and head for Carlisle...

Drashi wasn't sure why he was being sent to get Heze since Sonnet was going to be right next to her to get water, but whatever, He did as asked without question, quite used to taking orders by now. He nodded and turned, following after Sonnet and the bucket for the guys water. He had noticed the look in Haki's eyes, he was scared... which he could hardly be blamed for, how defenseless must the guy feel right now? Strangers surrounded him, his language was different, and he was severly injuried. None of that exactly said 'comfort zone'. Drashi felt something wizz past him, and took him a moment to see that it was Crown... running. Why on earth was the lad wasting his energy running? He shook his head, not wasting too much time wondering.... he would address that later.

Crown ran. Ran past Alice and Jasper, past Heze, past Auva, Maion and Chandra... past Sophia and Darius, past Amitiel and Cao.... he didn't stop not for any of them, and it was only because his legs started to tire that he paused. His mind was still racing, still full to the point of explosion. With nothing else to do, with no where else to escape he looked into the waters sleek surface. His face was reflected then. The Angeni wings of his mother upon the surface of the water, his pelt similar colours to his father... no one stood beside him, no mate, no lover, no friend.... it was true, he felt lonely. Surrounded by happiness and joy, by couples planning their futures, or playing with their children... what did Crown have? Time. Too much time. Nothing but time. He stomped the water hard, sending a storm of spray around himself and destroying his image. The tears spilled now, hitting the water in heavy drops causing ripples to dance away from him.

Orion let his mate remove his blindfold, even if it was only for a moment. He didn't hesitate to look her in the eyes, even smiled at her while he listened. If that really was the case then he did indeed feel 'flattered' who wouldn't? Still, he hoped that whatever it was troubling Crown was resolved soon. Nuzzling his mate for a moment of his own selfishness, "Let us.... eh... see if we are need...." He offered.

Haki tried to move, but failed. Treid to escape, but failed. Treid to use his wing to protect himself, but failed. His body felt heavy as if it didn't quite belong to him. Fear threatened to consume him as his eyes hopped from each form, even as they slowly moved away one by one. He wasn't completely listening but was drawn towards the golden haired stallion when he heard the name 'Heze'. Dry lips mouthed the word, even as no sound came out. 'Heze'. Memories bombarded him. He was coming to see Heze, had meat a beast and tried to protect himself and a stranger of purple that had reminded him of Heze from harm... of course that hadn't gone to plan.... so where was he now? That he couldn't remember. Even as an image of Heze... kissing him... came to mind. His cheeks burnt with a blush... had that happened? Or had it been nothing more than a wishful dream?

Drashi approached Heze, "Hurry." He said, urgency clear in his tone, "Your friend needs you." He kept his voice steady and choice of words short, not wanting to return to their earlier conversations should Heze not be completely clear minded.

Chandra didn't know when it had happened but she found herself alseep, snuggled into her fathers warmth, buried below his heavy wings.

Eden nodded and gave Orion a smile, her usual blank but plesant expression settling over her face as she turned to walk with him and offer some help if they were needed. If not they would head off out the way and keep out of danger and from under busy hooves.

Heze blinked at Drashi a moment, taking just a moment longer than usual for things to sink in. She wasn't totalyl free of the drug but she had washed the worst of it out her system. Nodding when that moment passed and going with Drashi to where Haki still was, guessing this meant that he was awake again.

Carlisle looked down at the stallion, not sure how to help him more at the moment, not even sure if he could lift his head enough to drink. "Water will be here soon" The look in the stallions eyes left little doubt that there was little he could do that wouldn't make the stallion more afraid, and the last thing anyone needed was him trying to bolt and killing himself, they had just saved him after all.

Sonnet hurried back with the water and set the bucket down by the stallions head at Carlisles words to do so. Standing quietly to let him drink. Once had drunk there should be water enough to wash the blood around him away.

Drashi nodded once and lead Heze back towards the bloody scene, looking up in time to see Orion and Eden approach. He smiled softly at Eden and bowed her head, it wasn'tthat Drashi ignored Orion... he just simply didn't know how to take the timid stallion at times, and had found that not keeping eye contact for too long seemed to help relax the other a little. Now that Heze was here and the stallion was waking up Drashi found the protectiveness within him springing forth... it was bad enough that he was risking Heze in order to keep the stranger calm, he didn't want to risk others too... especially a stallion who would like bolt and make the situation worst. That decided he spoke softly to the pair, "Would you please ensure that everyone has enough food, I don't want anyone wandering tonight...." Sure, it was probably his fathers place to give the orders, and in truth Drashi hated doing it, but when Maion wasn't around it always seemed to fall onto his shoulders. Drashi did what was needed, did what it took to protect those he held dear.

Haki's eyes had fallen closed, and it wasn't until he heard someone mention food that he opened them again. The world seemed to change every time he opened his eyes, right now there was a bucket or something before him, lots of legs and hooves... mostly of purple and white from his angle. Again he tried to moved, managing only to raise his clawed leg as if trying to reach for something. He felt so weak. This wasn't a feeling he was happy with at all.

Orion looked away from Drashi, the obvious dominace and control the guy had always spooked Orion. Safe here. Safe here. He reminded himself, and only an image of Eden smiling settled him. She was the reason he lingered here, and only for her would he continue to. That was how much he loved her. As they were given their orders he nodded softly and turned his attention to Eden, "Whe--re shall we begin." His voice had started out shaky, and it took a moment for him to gain control of it too.

Crown looked at the image of himself in the water, the way it swirled and moved.... things always changed, he knew that, Drashi had told him that. Drashi and Maion had told him many things... including that the things worth fighting for were often the things that could hurt you the most. Was that what this was? This confusion? Again his slammed his hoof against the waters surface to displace the image. He couldn't look at himself right now.
