Ibara grinned as she saw the nice arrange of danmaku she had manager to call forth. It was pretty! She held the card up as the danmaku continued to flow,  there was the rabbit- Wait? Rabbit? Where did the Green one go? The rabbit was jumping, but where had the green on gone?!

The hornless oni looked from side to side, but had no sucess. By the time Yuuka called the spellcard Ibara looked down,"oh.... There you are-

The beams hit Ibara head on, sending the oni back and into her own danmaku as her spellcard broke. She rolled a bit, before landing right on her back. Wow! There was danmaku everywhere!... That wasn't danmaku, just her vision witnessing a nice arrange of stars. She winced.

The tumble had dug some of the thorns deeper into her skin. Her body was wavering between responding and not. Moving her muscles caused the thorns to grind into her flesh, and even a twitch caused pain. The blood was pooling around Ibara as she struggled to override the pain she felt. The hornless oni was in a tough situation, no doubt. Time lapsed quickly outside, but in her head she was still for too long.

Suddenly remembering she was on the floor in the middle of a fight, she shot up to her feet, rolling over to use her palms to push to her feet. She stood panting.

Why was she hurting? Oh, the thorns. The danmaku stars where gone, and though her vision tunneled in a bit further she could still see the green youkai and the rabbit. What? There was another one?! Well then, that wouldn't do. She was tired and hurt and nothing nice was going on here.
At this point she wondered exactly why she was fighting. Yuuka was certainly kicking her around, and it hurt. There was also the fact Selkie was there, she wouldn't want to hurt the lunarian rabbit. Her body ached. She could drop this, and call it a day. Passing out sounded great about now... But pride wouldn't allow it. She couldn't be beaten by a flower lady and a rabbit! Chances where she wouldn't be able to use another card. It's take a toll on her and end the fight.

For now, she would have to see what the two opponents would do. It'd give her a chance to catch her breath. That last attack was a direct hit.

Selkie couldn't do anything to her. She just couldn't... right? What if she had to? Did she have to? Yuuka seemed to be attacking her... Maybe it was helping her! Hmm... Selkie thought about it for a quick second and came up with an idea.

She took her spell card, threw it out in front of her and yelled. "Red Eyed Lunacy "One Truth and Two Lies"!"Her eyes glew red and two copies of herself flew off of her. The two that jumped off of her were slightly see through, but both had a bow on them. They all took out their bows and pointed them at Ibara.Their hands glew red as she pulled back the strings. The two copies let go first and their arrows flew at Ibara. but before they hit, they served off course and began to circle her, both going opposite directions. The real Selkie seemed reluctant in releasing her string. She let go og the string, firing her red arrow straight at Ibara. Thought, it didn't seemed directly aimed at Ibara,but at the other two arrows as they over lapped one another. It it the other two arrows and created a small explosion of red bubble like danmaku.

As she let go of the danmaku, she and her clones jumped into the air. They curled up and then threw their hands out to their sides. Their eyes glew red and a large red bubble formed around each of them. Inside the bubble, the Selkies changed places. Once the bubbles began to fade, the Selkies leaped out of them in seperate directions. One landing a few meter stick lengths away from Ibara's current position, one farther back down the pathway, and one behind Ibara and Yuuka.

Yuuka used Selkie's distraction to allow her body to rest momentarily. She stood, combating the pain that raced through her mind as the deep-seated thorns dug into her flesh even deeper. Her blood was dripping everywhere still, even running down the parasol she held. The parasol's glow dimmed to a faint light as the spell completed; it was a short attack, designed to expend its energy in one quick burst.

"Ibara...the will to fight, the will to live is important, but so is learning when to use that willpower, and when not to. The Monster inside of you feeds off this excess in violence. I know what it feels like...the power, the challenge, the hunger. It's addicting, crippling. At certain times it can become your greatest ally, but it can also be your downfall when used without control...and without remorse." Yuuka took a few steps forward, slowly flexing her arm as it regained feeling. "The difference between a person and a monster...is knowing when you don't have to fight. It's knowing when you don't have to be strong for anyone. It's realizing you have more than yourself to live for..."

Ibara looked as Selkie made her tricks, avoiding the red bubble and hardly grazing the third arrow. She was feeling sluggish at this point. To top it off there was THREE rabbits! Her orangy glanze looked from side to side, trying to split her attention between them and the green youkai. Like Yuuka, the oni's blood flood onto the floor. She had not much too do, as the flower youkai continued to talk, now buzzing into her head along with Selkie's movements. It was all too much. The hornless oni was frozen in spot through Yuuka's speech, and though some of her words pierced her far more than the thorns did,She wasn't going to give intil she could hardly breath.

She pulled out a single card, this one she knew, because it stood for more than most would think, she didn't even have to read it as she held it out infron of her. Her sneer spelt defiance as she looked at Yuuka, the Monster wasn't handing over anything. "Secretive Arts~ Temperance's Last Breath " Throwing the card into the air, she swiped it out of the air, catching it in her closed fist.

Like the first time Yuuka and Ibara had met, she had pulled out her last card. last time, it had been a skill card, this time, it was the real deal. As The hornless oni took the card her hand ignited with the red energy that had made her the blade she had used on both Selkie and Yuuka. Ibara brought back a leg to ready for a last sprint. She kept her eyes on the Selki Clones, slowly reeling her fist back.

With a roar she ran foward with all she had left, plowing through any danmaku or intervention. She cared little for Selkie, who had not interfered much in any case, her fist aimed for Yuuka. She struck out with the spellcard's effects going...

Selkie saw Ibara use her next attack, and she charged at Yuuka... and by default her, since the real one was near Yuuka. Her clones quickly jumped past Ibara and landed in front of Yuuka, Selkie ran in between the two clones. Now the three bunnies each reached into their satchels and pulled out a spell card. "Madness "Red Eyed Field"!" They all pulled their heads back as their eyes glew red and then threw them forward (metaphorically). Their eyes sent off waves that quickly formed a shield in front of them. A nice, round one that had red ripples throughout it. Thankfully, she had clones with her, so if Ibara hit, then there would be less damage on her, because it would be distributed to all three rabbits.

When Ibara struck the shield, she went through it like nothing. The clones vanished from sight, and Selkie was sent flying backwards. Her clones weren't enough to help her. She got back to her feet. "Ibara, what's become of you...?" She asked quietly. She reached into her satchel and pulled out another spell card. "Lunar Veil "Shooting Stars"." This was probably one of her stronger spell card. She pulled back her bow and focused, since her spell needed to be charged to work properly.

Yuuka already knew what to expect, having witnessed firsthand the power of this spell card before. She tossed her parasol aside as Selkie attempted to stop Ibara's onslaught with a spell card of her own, only to be blown away like a stuffed toy. The mere instant it took for Ibara's strike to connect felt like a lifetime. Searing pain erupted in Yuuka's chest. She gripped Ibara's hand between hers, holding the blade in place and keeping it from penetrating further. Tears from the pain streamed down her cheeks; she blinked them away, looking into the crazed Oni's eyes. She tried to speak, but no words would come, instead merely mouthing something.

Yuuka release her grip for a split second. She grasped Ibara's wrist with one hand, tight enough to crush bone. The other she raised to Ibara's face, her nails digging into the Oni's cheeks. A faint glow sparked in the palm of her hand, before erupting into a powerful Master Spark... at point blank range.

She plowed through Selkie easily enough, and she thought her blow would break anything Yuuka had to offer. How wrong she was. Yuuka stopped her, even as the oni tried to press through. She gave frown, half exposing her clenched teeth as she tried to over come the gardener's strenght.

The tables turned.

Yuuka gripped her wrist, breaking it due to the weakened state Ibara found herself in. The spell card broke, the blade shattered to thousands of pieces of tiny white light that faded into the soil of the Garden. As if Ibara wasn't in enough shock, her opponent gripped her face, digging the nails into her face. She brought up her hand to grip Yuuka's wrist, her hand burning with what little energy she managed to find in her body, a desperate attempt to pry off Yuuka. Then, her orange glance caught the light that soon filled her entire vision....

When she could see again, she was somewhere on the floor, her breathing came in distressed gasps, her body wasn't responding, and she was on her side as far as she could tell, curled up in the way she had landed. A extreme pressure pressed down on her chest, Ibara felt nothing and extreme pain at the same time.

The blow had numbed her, silenced her hearing, and impaired her sight. The pain in her body screamed through every fiber. Her muscles ached and screeched with every attempt of movement. Even as she wished to move, and did so with all her might, not an inch of responce would result. The oni had pushed her body past its threshold. Now exhaustion, pain, and numbeness filled her very existance, as her vision gradually darkened to pitch black....

She knew that feeling of coldness too well, same for that feeling of exhaustion. Curled on her side, on cruel and cold stone, nothing but the cave darkness of the tunnels of Youkai Mountain. She knew her concious would collapse every now and again, as she lost track of time, lost track of seasons, and ultimately lost track of who she was. The darkness of the cave festered her fears and as she laid on her side, hoping for death, all that filled the loneliness was the accusations she brought upon herself. Here in the cave, she let herself zone out of her pain. It was those lapses of lack of sane conciousness that relieved her fears, her pains, and her regressing state. In these caves, no one could hear her cry. No one could hear her scream. Ibara was alone, and so she valued the times when she didn't know when up was down and when her desire for air burned her being. What kept her alive in that cave, past all limit of her body was that desire to live.

The cave's darkness was the perfect home for these feelings.. .

Her breath was raspy, and her fingers dug into the earth. That was all the responce she got from her body and mind, as the nearly invisible tears fell onto the soil of the garden of sun.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 25, 2012 9:31 pm

Selkie gasped and cancelled her charging as Ibara was hit full on by Yuuka's master spark. Once Ibara was down on the ground, Selkie had to go to her. "Ibara!!" She screamed as she ran over to her. She was scared of her, but she had to go to her. She dropped her bow on the ground where she was before she had ran to her friend.

She could see Ibara digging her fingers into the earth near her as she came closer. She dropped to her knees as she got closer to her. She tried to keep a fair amount of distance between her and Ibara, just in case something might happen. "I-Ibara... What's going on...?" She asked aloud this time. She wanted to know what was happening to her friend.

~~~~~
In the distance, hidden in a tree, the shinigami stood, hidden in the thick leaves. "So that's what the gardener can do..." She said quietly to herself. She had observed the whole battle not just from in the tree, but also from inside the mansion at times. "So the Oni has other friends, hmm?" She said to herself.
After casting the Master Spark, Yuuka's body had remained in place. Her body had froze up, and she appeared to have lost consciousness for a short amount of time. Not only dealing with pain from the thorns in her body on top of exhaustion, but the backlash from the point-blank Master Spark was enough to overload her already weakened body.
Slowly, Yuuka relaxed her body. She flexed her still outstretched hand; her palm, fingers and arm were horribly burnt, a result of the spell's energy having nowhere to go.
It took a moment for her senses to clear. Yuuka saw movement at the edges of her blurry vision. She soon recognized it to be Selkie, hurrying over to an area somewhere further down the garden. The rabbit fell to her knees by something on the ground...a figure...Ibara.
Oh god. What have I done?
Yuuka ignored the pain she felt, forcing her body to respond to her command. Her movements were sluggish as exhaustion fought her every step. This wasn't what she had intended; Yuuka hadn't meant for it to go this far, or for herself to react so drastically. The situation had been under control...right?
Yuuka knelt down behind Ibara, at her back. Holding her devastated arm to her body, Yuuka reached out to Ibara. She rubbed her shoulder, attempting to elicit a response from the broken heap of an Oni before her.
"I...Ibara...I'm...I'm so sorry..."
PostPosted: Wed Jun 27, 2012 12:55 pm
Ibara staid silent, her eyes not moving to look at Selkie or anything, those than the fingers in the dirt and the raspy cut breaths she drew, anyone would have thought she was dead.
In the tunnels someone's voice rumbled. It made her stir, though  it gave her no desire to get up and head to the source of the voice. She knew better. Her body wouldn't respond, and she much rather stay hidden here where no one would find her. Still, the voice continued to echo through the various connections of the caves. It made her curious, it did. Why would anyone come to these caves? No one cared. No one ever had. The oni wanted to stay to her pain alone. No one needed to see her, did they?  The echoes continued until they faded away, only to be replaced by new ones.
Ibara lifted off her side, not moving her legs and simply looking over to the noise of someone calling. Her hair was a mess, the white bangs  over her eyes after no being properly fixed. She hesitated. Was she willing to lose the sense of emptiness that had kept her alive to curiosity? Slowly and painfully, she rolled to her rusted knees, putting one foot before the other. Nearly collapsing from exhaustion, she braced herself on the cave wall, with a sharp gasp. The oni wanted to know who was calling for her like one ever had.
When Yuuka touched her shoulder, the bartender flinched, almost cringing away, both from pain and from the lack of comfort from the gesture. She just wanted to give in to how tired she was. She refused, knowing that if she went to sleep, she would find the darkness from the caves enveloping her once more and perhaps permanently. Her body's first response was to curl up on a fetal position, both to try to craddle the pain away, and from the shock she was in. She had been reduced to a primal state, only breathing because if she didn't, it'd hurt her more. A few shiver racked her body, but she was essentially unresponsive, her blue-eyed empty gaze locking on nothing, as her fingers released on the soil she had clung to for a few second prior to that.
Gently, Yuuka reached over and grasped Ibara's hand, interlocking her fingers with hers. "Ibara...Don't turn your back on me..." She focused her magic with what little strength she could muster, sending its energies into the ground and causing a series of thin vines and plant growth to sprout forth, creeping their way to Ibara's broken body. They gave off a healing energy, the same kind used in the bandages she made months ago. Yuuka focused all of the spell's magic on Ibara, ignoring her own body's wounds and pain. By now, the sword wound in her chest was bleeding profusely. Blood was dripping into the ground and across the scorched arm she held to her chest. Her own vision and senses waned as the loss of blood and shock her body endured began to take its toll.
She moved her head over to Ibara's, resting her brow against the Oni's temple. "Ibara...don't leave me. Please know, I never meant for this..." A tear fell from her eye, then more. Droplets of salty-sweet water fell to Ibara's cheek as the aged Youkai cried for the first time in decades. "If you should leave me now...then in our final hour, I pray my voice finds you there, a light to guide your fire..." She squeezed Ibara's hand. "Soon, I promise the dark will pass... Wherever you go, I'll be here. Just remember...that...I love you."
PostPosted: Wed Jun 27, 2012 5:29 pm
Ibara hadn't really moved, as Yuuka came to her. Her pained Easened up a bit, and even as she didn't respond, it was a relief. The light begun to fill her vision, slowly and steadily. She could see the sunflowers through the glare of the sun, it was a great contrast to the dark cave that had housed her for an eternity. Eventually, it dawned on her that she had not been in the caves since the incident... What had happened....?
What got a response was the drops of water fell upon her face.   It was a surprise,  it shouldn't be raining should it? The oni blinked, her stare refocusing at long last.
The world spun as she came out of her daze, she spotted Selkie across from her. She still couldn't move but she felt something in her hand, by shifting her view she spotted Yuuka looming over her. Ibara blinked, the gardener was crying?
"Yu-....Yuuka?" Her raspy voice called. She felt exhausted, but it seemed her friend was in worse state. The bartender couldn't move much, but she was worried about Yuuka.
Selkie pulled herself closer to Ibara. She didn't know anything of what was going on. She wanted to know, but now wasn't the time to ask. And Yuuka was... crying? This was definetly strange. "I-Ibara...? Are you a-alright?" Was all she could think of to say to the oni. She lay one of her hands on Ibara's shoulder. She didn't have anything like Yuuka did to say, but she still wanted to try and comfort her friend.
~~~~~

Mizuki watched the two youkai go to Ibara. She instantly teleported herself into the mansion and listened to the youkai talk, out of sight of any windows or doors or such. The green haired youkai was... crying? Mizuki looked down at her feet for a second, trying to think about what this could mean. Could she have read the green haired youkai that wrong?

Yuuka could feel Ibara stir beneath her. "I..bar..a..." The Oni may be injured, but she was alive. A feeling of relief washed over the gardener as she heard Ibara's voice, small as it may be, overriding any pain she felt for that moment. With the relief came a release, a weakness. Her own body began to go numb due to the accumulation of her physical and emotional trauma.

Yuuka slumped over, rolling onto her back, beside of Ibara. A darkness of her own threatened to consume, nipping at the edges of her vision, despite the blue sky above. As the healing spell ended, small, white flowers began to bloom across the plant growth that surrounded Ibara. Yuuka's blood began to pool beneath her, though in spite of all this, a small smile, daresay a smirk, creeped onto Yuuka's face, and her tear-stained cheeks glistened slightly in the warm sunlight.

"R...rabbit...find help.....for........"

Selkie heard Yuuka try to ask for help, but she didn't finish her sentence. Selkie jumped to her feet, saluted and said, "Yes ma'am!!" She then made a large hop over them and bolted down the path at full speed. She tried to think of who could help with such bad injuries. There was Byakuren, but she had weak magic, so it probably wouldn't work. There was herself, but she couldn't heal anything. There was Eirin, but how would she feel about a run-away moon rabbit? And there was Sylpheed... Nothing wrong with her, right?

She bolted through the human village, trying to ignore all the stares she received from its people, and made her way to the waterways, where she saw the mermaid sitting by the water with her knees close to her face. Selkie walked over to her and taped her shoulder. "Hey, I need you miss. Please hurry." She said to Sylpheed.

Sylpheed gasped as someone touched her shoulder. It was that rabbit from the temple. Was she requesting something of her? Sylpheed nodded. "O-okay...?" She said, half awake. She followed Selkie through the village and eventually to the garden of the sun, where she found the two injured youkai laying. She stared at them, as though she were really tired.

Selkie taped her shoulder slightly, making her jump again. "Can you heal them please?" She asked the mermaid, who noded, sat on her knees, and began to heal both Yuuka and Ibara at the same time.

Sylpheed then realized what she was doing after a few seconds. She stood up and backed away from them slightly. "W-wait! I'm not supposed to be doing this! I h-hate doing this...!" She said aloud. She had healed Yuuka and Ibara quite a bit already, but not to their full potential yet.
