The three of them boarded Dakyrr's ship headed for Illium. The next person Dakyrr wanted to add to the crew was Kasumi Goto. She was a master thief and a good fighter as well. However, it was odd that the council would suggest a criminal for the team.

They arrived on Illium and began asking around for Kasumi. There wasn't much luck.

"It seems that not single person knows where Kasumi is...."

"Well when Cerberus is involved, we don't have a whole lot of time to be patient. Kasumi is the best the galaxy has to offer if we want to bypass Cerberus security tech."

At that moment Dakyrr's omni-tool got an incoming message. He opened it and a female face appeared on a video chat.

"...so I hear you're looking for me."

"You must be Kasumi Goto..." Dakyrr said to the woman.

"You guessed it. Now what would a Spectre want with me? You gona try to arrest me?" Kasumi said.

"No....I have a mission for you from the council. We're investigating a possible Cerberus sighting."

"Hmmmm Cerberus huh? Those worms still owe me money.....sure I'll help you, but only if you help me get my money from them."

"Then we have a deal, Kasumi." Dakyrr said.

They all went back to the ship and met Kasumi in the tactics room.

"Alright so here's what we know so far..."

Dakyrr pulled up a galaxy map on the holo-projector in the center of the center of the room. It zoomed in to focus in on Noveria.

"A team of Spectres recently tracked another human ship's signal to Noveria. The council check this signal with the last one we found and it was a 97% match. Since then we have had no contact with the settlements there, nor have we heard anything from the Spectres. This is our first lead, so I'm putting off building up the team to investigate. We will arrive shortly."

"The council sent the team about two days ago and they haven't checked in in 37 hours."

Dakyrr zoomed the map in further showing a facility on the planet's surface.

"This is the location they were sent to, we'll start here and see what we can find. Now let's get down there."

Garrus, Kasumi, Nema, and Dakyrr exited the landing shuttle in a council controlled research facility.The building had an old council symbol on it.



"It's no wonder Spectres were sent here to investigate. The council never told me it was their own research facility."

Everyone stood outside in the cold with their suits sealed. They looked around to see if there were any signs of either the Spectres or the enemy.

"Kasumi, take point and scout ahead. Radio any threats or anything you find suspicious."

"Got it," Kasumi said.

"To protect their investment. Spectres answer directly to the council, so it makes sense they would send us rather than anyone else. However, it seems things got out of hand."

Kasumi called in and reported.

"Hey Dakyrr, there doesn't seem to be any activity here You may come in, but be cautious. I'll remain cloaked to continue scouting."

"Alright, keep me posted." Dakyrr replied.

Elsewhere two Spectres and a civilian were just a few yards away from some Cerberus centurians, some troopers, and what seemed to be a commando.

"Keelah, we have to find a way out of here. There are troops everywhere and our signals are still being jammed." Tali said.

She leaned over from behind the wall and looked. The Cerberus troops turned and began running toward the front of the facility. They seemed to be moving on and all seemed clear. Just then they heard gun shots in the distance.

Dakyrr fired a few shots from his Arc pistol and got behind cover again. The troops were slowly moving forward on their position.

"Would you like a distraction?" Kasumi said.

"Oh that would be splendid." Dakyrr said.

Kasumi threw a flashbang grenade that disoriented the troops. Dakyrr then sent a shockwave to knock them back.

Tali pulled out her M-77 Paladin and began to lead the group forward.

"If there are others here, that means the council has sent some backup. We have to get to them before they wind up in the same position we were in. Ashley have you got a signal yet?"

Garrus pulls out his M-15 Vindicator and follows Dakyrr. Nema follows closely behind Garrus and pulls out one of her pistols the M-3 Predator.
