"Oh well then. If its someone I know, and I know a lot of the guys....There isn't a shy one among the group.." he thought curiously, leaning back on the wall looking a bit perplexed.
"Alright....So A good thing to do when confess is...."
And he was dead serious....
"Wear sexy underwear and seduce him in the middle of the night."
Poker face.

All of the color drained from her face. "Dakota I would never ... Of all the ..."
She resigned to drinking Dr. Pepper again, but the beat red color on her face gave all her feelings away. She couldn't even really hug guys without getting uncomfortable at this point- seducing them? Wearing lingerie in front of them?
"No. Definitely not. No." Dakota why would you even say that. "Next plan."

Oh...OHOHOHOHO.
Dakota grinned at her flush and leaned back.
"That's the surefire way into any guys pants Ami. and once you get in the pants, you get to the heart." Dakota chuckled before blinking.
"Okay okay, not lingerie and underwear....and seducing in the night..." Dakota looked away, "then just be straight forward with him Ami. No need to beat around the bush. Everyday is a day we could die babe. You don't want that kinda of regret haunting you...." Usually that kinda of regret turned pretty girls into pretty little ghost. And they hunted ghost....
Full circle in his head.
"Break the mold and just tell him straight up. the worst thing that can happen? he'll say no....Then I'll be here to comfort you?" he winked.

Ami's face twitched in a smile, but it was dismissed immediately. Just flat out telling him sounded like a good idea, it really did. Just go for it. No regrets. There was only one problem.
"I ... I'm not you Dakota. I can't just ... dictate what I want to say at the drop of a hat." Ami didn't even flinch at his comfort remark. That's how difficult this was for her. "My chances are slim to none because he-" Has a girlfriend.
She caught herself once more. "I can't."

"Odd, You don't have to be me to say it?" He examined his nails. "here's the picture to look at Babe, You don't tell him, he doesn't know, the idea doesn't grow in his head, then you didn't stand a chance." he waited a beat, "You don't stand a chance until you buck up some courage and cling to some kinda of hope that other person will accept you." He leaned forward again, "Doesn't have to be at the drop of the hat, courage takes time. You need a ego to get what you want...."
A breath...
"Nothing is sexier then confidence. In yourself and your feelings." he waited, "Unless your hesitating for another reason Ami. Whatever that hesitation is, you ask yourself two questions: One, Does it matter? At least considering YOUR feelings and Two, Will we end up with dead hunters? Because some s**t is weird like that."
Another breath...
"I'm serious though Ami, you want your man, you gotta buck up. Confidence is key, persistence is the hold. Oh yeah, that's right, It'll help if your persistent!"

"Persistent isn't attractive when overdone," she chided. Just saying Dakota. Just saying.
She knew his advice was good though. Dakota had it better in the romance department than she ever would, so she at least considered his advice. Not much else of what he said, like comforting and being a sex-magnet, but at the heart of it he knew what he was trying to get to her was right.
Two questions. She could rule out the second one for sure. No one was going to be dead after this, except maybe herself if Em found out (was Em the jealous type? Ami wasn't even sure), but if so it wouldn't matter much. People could move on.
The other, does it matter. That wasn't the easy part. For her it mattered a great deal. This was the first time she'd felt ... pretty much anything since Adam. Wilson was a spark. Not a roaring fire, but it was something, and Ami was clinging to it. For Wilson, it probably didn't matter much. He had Em. She was a forest fire.
Ami looked down, deep in thought, and then realized Dakota was waiting on her for an answer. "Ah- sorry. I'll uh ... 'buck up' then." She set her now-empty Dr. Pepper can down on a table beside her. "Your advice wasn't terrible." That was as close to a compliment as you were getting Dakota.

Dakota grin continued to stay in place. Never changing.
"Again, If it doesn't go well, I'm always hear to welcome you to my warm sweet embrace Ami." he waggled his eyebrows.

Ami rolled her eyes, walked up to Dakota and got inches from his face. His breath smelled kind of like Dr. Pepper, but Ami didn't mind. "Dakota ..." she said softly, leaning in closer and closer. They both knew what was coming next.
The huntress punched him directly in the stomach.
She wiped her hands and walked out of the room. ******** Dakota. She should've never come.

Dakota blinked, closing his eyes as she leaned in for -
A punch to the gut.
"Ooph...." He dropped to the floor, watching as Ami walked out with some tears in his eyes.
"Your welcome?" Was all he got out as he rubbed his tummy.
