Lyle's eyes went wide wish astonishment as the Ponyta jumped incredibly high in the air. Spinel was also rather surprised, and just watched for a moment. He recovered in time to try and scramble out of the way, but didn't quite get clear in time. And all that clear upward space gave the Ponyta plenty of room fo gain momentum. Spinel finally escaped up the cliff side with a clear footprint adorning his head.
"Spinel, you're doing great! Another Rock Tomb," Lyle said. It had seemed to hurt the Ponyta a good bit before.
Spinel again perched on the canyon wall and started tossing down chunks of rock.

Rasha shrieked her displeasure as several large and rather sharp rocks fell on her. Picking her way clear of the loose stones, she stalked towards the Sableye, flames flicking hypnotically.

Spinel's eyes focused on the dancing flames until he grew dizzy and began to sway a little.
Drat, confused again. Lyle considered using Faint Attack again, but the Ponyta was looking rather weak now. Might be better to stick with rock attacks. "Stay focused, Spinel! Rock Tomb!" he called.
His pokemon tried to pull himself together. He scrabbled for more rocks to toss at the fiery horse.

More rocks fell, and Shina winced. That had to hurt. "Rasha, try Hypnosis!"
Rasha flickered her flames again. They flared high, then slowly subsided, dancing in soothing, calming patterns.

Spinel hardly noticed the flames this time. He was still dazzled by the last time.
The Ponyta looked so weak now! One more hit would do it, if Spinel could land it. "Spinel, Faint Attack!"
The pokemon faded into shadow before sneaking toward his opponent.

Rasha collapsed, and Shina quickly recalled her. "Thanks for the battle!" She called, then headed out to heal Rasha.

Spinel started to dance around gleefully when his opponent was recalled, but he was still confused enough that he almost fell into the canyon. Lyle called for him to stay still until he'd regained his senses, then come on back. He was pretty giddy himself. They'd won!
