Soon enough, they reached Dinah's building. Jamison came around to open the door for her, and Dinah stepped out of the car and headed inside the building. The doorman smiled and tipped his hat, saying, "Welcome home, Ms. Lance," as he held the door open for her. "Thank you, Tommy," Dinah smiled back and continued in toward the lounge at the other end of the lobby.

Once they reached the bar, Robert ordered a shot of whiskey, then downed it as soon as it was up. "Ooh, that was good." He breathed in through his nose, letting the fumes hit his sinus cavity, it smoldered there for a few seconds. "What can I get you, my lovely?" he asked Dinah.

"Hm, a Sidecar for me," Dinah said, taking a seat at the bar.

He smirked and looked at the bartender. "You heard the lady, a sidecar, please. And I'll have a dry martini, my good man." The bartender made the drinks and Robert paid the man, he took a seat next to Dinah and gave her the drink. "One sidecar for you, pretty woman."

Dinah accepted the glass and took a sip, then she rested her arm against the bar and smiled at Robert. "So you said you're new in town? Why do I get the feeling that's not quite true?"

He smiled as he took a sip from his martini. "Okay, so it's not entirely true. I do come to Gotham regularly for business, but I never stay longer than it takes to do business. So while I have been here before, I am still sort of new to the city."

"Bup, bup, bup. Government secrets and all that. All I can officially tell you is that I work with the military." He took another sip from his drink as he looked at her to see if she was buying what was essentially the truth.

"The military? You don't look like a soldier. I'm guessing you don't spend much time in the field, eh?"

"With, not for. And I'm not supposed to tell anyone what it is I do, because it would be a breach of national security, and I could be charged with high treason if I do." He gave her a smile and nodded toward her. "So what about you? Are you working on a movie currently?"

"Mm-hm. Yet another film noir where I play the femme fatale." Dinah chuckled and swirled her drink in its glass before taking another sip.

Dinah laughed. "Oh, I'm sure it will be a marvelous movie. But sometimes I tire of playing a role."

Dinah sipped her sidecar. "I said sometimes. For instance, when the director is such a perfectionist that he has to reshoot a single kiss twenty times before letting his actors go."
