Jericho was silent for a little while there, as he was struggling with how to feel about this exactly. There was something bittersweet about all of this, but he couldn't tell if it was more bitter or more sweet.
"Hopefully you'll be able to find out more," he said to Malodore. Letting out a breath, he looked between the two undead.
"Thank you.. for telling us this.. "

Likewise, Shehk was quiet - it was a lot to take in, after all. Riley was alive, but it wasn't their Riley. It...it was likely to be more emotional anguish to Jericho and Malodore than it was for her, and yet it was still a wound in her chest.
"I....likewise... appreciate being let in on this." she said slowly.

Malodore nodded, then slowly rose to its hooves again, straightening out its rumpled robes on the way. "We must tell the others, but slowly - they cannot rush the Bogeymen. Riley needs to remain in their care, and those seeking her cannot cause trouble for them, or else we may lose what little access we have... Sinclaire said that she could have visitors, if they were stable." It gave Jericho a wan look.
"I wish I could take you to her, but they would notice your ailment at once, I fear... but Shehk, you were the first one I thought of. And Junko, Lizzy... Amrita... Christof, I fear, would not be suitable," it sighed, saddened by the necessity.

Jericho heaved a sigh at the mention of stable visitors. That ruled him out completely. Even if he was able to hide the fact that he had insanity, he was far from being stable. At times he may appear to be stable, but he knew better.
"The next time you see her.. please send her my regards... even.. even if she doesn't know who I am," he murmured.

That was a reasonable list of people, she felt - though it would be rather sad for Christof to not be able to see Riley. At the same time, she understood the knowledge would likely crush him in a very special way.
"I'd be honored to go." and she really was. It sounded like a very delicate situation, after all.
Shehk sat up a bit straighter, moving to pull out her phone at Jericho's request. She hit through a few buttons on the front before she handed it to him. The screen displayed a bar for picking up sound and a record button - her intentions were rather clear.
"Record her something yourself and when I see her I'll play it to her for you." she offered.

"Of course. I will share my memories with her, too, if she wishes to take them. Then perhaps..." Malodore trailed off. It could not force her. It could not. But its desire for things to be as they had been was powerful, nearly crushing. It closed its open beak with a soft clack.

Jericho carefully took the phone and nodded to Shehk. It took him a moment to try and think about what he wanted to say. What should he say? Did it really matter in the end? Taking in a deep breath, he pressed the button to start a recording.
"Hey Riley, Jericho here. Miss having you around... get strong and we'll go flying once we can... " he said quietly.
He didn't say more, afraid that he'd say something that might hint at his affliction. Letting out a sigh, he passed the phone back to Shehk, then looked to Malodore.
"Let's hope it won't be useless.."

It was a painful thing to watch - the two of them struggling over how to handle things. Hell, even Shehk wasn't sure what she would be doing about anything. Maybe she was handling it really well, maybe she'd go back to her room and cry.
She didn't know.
Taking her phone back, she made sure to save the message so that it could be played back later. She'd maybe show Riley a picture of Jericho too. Did she have anything rece- okay, that was the sugar cupcake face. Probably not the best shot to show, but one of the better ones she had.
Mrrg.
It seemed like a weight had really settled upon their little pow-wow as well, unfortunately. "It will all mean something, I'm sure of it." Though just what? She didn't know. It was the uncertainty she had to live with from day to day.

Malodore nodded, wearily. "Si. Let us hope... well." It resettled its wings, stretching out the long metal spars before refolding them with a faint sigh. "We must inform the others, somehow. I... may I ask for your assistance, with this?" The thought of explaining over, and over, and over made the plague doctor want to go hide in its room and never come out. Dealing with loss was one thing.
This was different. It didn't want to see everyone's pity. Answer everyone's questions. It owed words to a few people, but there were so many, and it was so... so tired.

His eyes had begun to water up after he had spoke, so he fell silent once more to try and control himself. At Malodore's request, he just nodded. Jericho would let some others know. People visited him now and then after all. This was something that definitely needed to be told more in person.
