The Raikou was not phased by the attack. Teeth gaping the legendary once more flung itself at its opponent, ready to snap his powerful jaw upon him.

The massive jaws clamped down upon Mephistopheles, and he exploded into darkness. It was a mere illusion, but he phased away from the raikou, grabbed Lenore, and phased back into the ghost world with the girl in hand.
The two emerged back into the living world behind a building, far from the raikou. They fell to the ground, exhausted.
