Concept Personality:Metic is a curious Pockettu, but it's a slow, methodical sort of curiosity. He likes to study things, basically. He has a love of studying the strange and legendary, mostly, but he can get absorbed in a good book about practically anything or spend hours studying carvings on the side of a building. Despite being mostly cautious, he occasionally gives into a whim... The last whim he gave into lead him to Antar's city, and the company of Penumbra. Despite a cooler, academic personality- he just can't bring himself to leave Pen, even if the city seems dangerous... But he also can't deny that he's been finding fascinating things in the darkness...
Acquaintances: * Penumbra - A Pockettu that Metic discovered while exploring a strange dark land that he chanced across as a whim. He was locked behind an elaborate door that Metic happened to open... Metic isn't entirely sure WHAT they are- he just knows that Pen is terribly clingy without wanting to actually admit that he is- and Metic doesn't have the heart to leave Pen all on his own.

Acquired: Custom Name Meaning: Ersatz is based off a character named 'Faux,' and so his name sorta carries on in the same tradition- both of them meaning, essentially, 'fake.'
Powers: * Poison-resistance- Ersatz has a bad habit of ingesting things that he really shouldn't... so he has built up an immunity to common poisons simply because he's poisoned himself fairly often. This doesn't mean that poisons can't effect him or cause him harm- it just takes more of the substance to debilitate him. ...exotic poisons are exempt, and hallucinogenic substances are as well for some reason or another. He'd also likely -know- if someone fed him a non-exotic poison because he'd recognize the symptoms or the taste (if applicable). * His tail has sticky suction cups that can adhere to other objects- he has poor control over said tail, though, and often it just means he inadvertently sticks to walls or objects and needs to pry himself free.

Acquaintances: * Vizeral - Mad Scientist Buddies! 8D ...really, that just about sums it up. He really rather liked Viz from the first moment they met (which involved some shenanigans, Viz getting his tongue stuck to Er's tail and Er licking a spike on Viz... it sounds so much more perverse than it actually was), and has happily followed him home in hopes of doing some Science Stuff.
Acquired: Post-A-Picture Raffle Name Meaning: I constructed her name from a drow name generator- it essentially means "Earth Student," which seemed fitting for a gal with aspirations on becoming a gardener...
Powers: * Darkvision (not quite the infravision that drow usually enjoy, but she can see fairly well in all but absolute darkness).
Acquired: Breeding (Mates) Name Meaning: His mother's name is 'Mercy,' which is one letter off from the French word 'merci' (meaning 'thank you'). The French phrase for 'you're welcome' is 'de rien'- so 'Darien' is one letter (and a space) away from 'you're welcome.'

Home: A somewhat big doll-sized boardinghouse mostly occupied by followers of Venezia. He shares a room with his mother, but frequently visits his father and sister. His mother tries to keep him from interacting much with the other occupants of his home because she dislikes them.
Acquaintances: Mercy - His mother- he doesn't have a sappy loving relationship with her or anything... but there's sort of an unsaid communication with her that he doesn't get from his other family members. He loves them all, but his mother is the one that he actually thinks he understands on some level. Verde - Verde is his dad- they share a love of the arts, but Darien somehow thinks he doesn't quite understand his father the way that his mother does. He'd like to think his father approves of him, but he's not quite sure... Katze - Katze is his sister- they've always sort of gotten along... but ever since they became adults he's sensed some sort of tension coming from her that he can't explain, so they've grown apart. Like his father, he loves her but he's not sure he understands her.
Acquired: Darkness CYOA Event Name Meaning: Penumbra means "The partially shaded outer region of the shadow cast by an opaque object." It seemed fitting enough for someone who comes out of the darkness.
Concept Personality:Penumbra is a guy who tries to seem tougher than he really is. Under it all, he's rather insecure because he simply can't remember anything about his past before Metic opened the door of the room he was locked in. He's torn between being somewhat frightened of Antar, because he's fairly sure Antar is the reason he can't remember anything, and desperately wanting Antar's notice, because Antar is probably the only one who actually -knows- anything about his missing past. Pen would probably be much more of a wreck if Metic didn't hang around with him, giving him someone to talk to- as much as he doesn't want to admit it, Pen really does need other people in his condition.
Acquaintances: Metic - The Pockettu who rescued him when he was locked in a room by Antar. Pen would like to say that Metic is 'just some guy'- but that would be totally false. He starts to get really anxious if Metic isn't in the same room with him, or at least the same building. ...suffice it to say, it's a close relationship... but neither really entirely know what to make of it yet. For now, the closest way to define it is that Metic is Pen's 'security blanket,' and much as he'd deny it... he does try and listen to any advice Metic gives him.

Acquired: Raffle Name Meaning: Oracle is a character who likes to watch things and thinks he has everything figured out- so while he's not an actual oracle or anything... it still kind of fits.
Acquired: Raffle Name Meaning: 'Starling Silverberg' is just a play on 'Sterling Silver,' which is sort of ironic given that her 'theme' to me is a tarnished knight.

Acquired: Raffle Name Meaning: 'Hallochar' is taken from drow name generator. 'Hal' meaning 'deft, nimble, spider' and 'lochar' meaning 'messenger, spider.' Sort of a double-spider, but I took it as 'nimble messenger.'
[Antar Follower] Zark's Info Is Sort of Badly Out of Date, Umm Yeah He's a Cursed Now
Acquired: Advertising Contest Name Meaning: No real hidden meaning here- just wanted something short and 'punchy' sounding.
Concept Personality:Zark is... well... sort of a mad dog. He lives for a good fight and doesn't really bond with people very easily, because that would mean he would have less targets when it comes time to 'play.' He can't really remember much about his past, or much of anything to be honest- he sort of lives for the moment, and any sort of introspection or 'thinky-things' just end up pissing him off. About the only thing he can claim is that he has enough respect/fear of Antar not to go randomly attacking fellow followers... unless they piss him off. For all his love of fighting, though, he's entirely easy to make -angry-. Many insults blow right through him (or over his head), and he doesn't take being in a fight personally- though admittedly if he got into a fight and got his a** handed to him, he'd want to fight them again because it was -fun-. Actually angering him requires badgering him about, well, the fact that he's not very bright. Zark lives for the moment and lives for a good fight. He's sort of a terrifyingly gleeful berserker who has no thought towards rising in ranks- and very few real worries about lowering his own position.

"Do you mock me? Come closer and say that again... " Prompt Trying for: Darkness Rituals
Name of Pockettu: Erebus Prompt Entry: Living in the darkness, time really has no meaning for Erebus. His 'morning' might very well be in the middle of the afternoon to most people- or even just past midnight. The shaman's internal clock is hopelessly astray, but unless he has some pressing motivation he simply follows his whims. Sleep is a little death and death is close to darkness, so who is he to interrupt it for no good reason?
Erebus isn't one to sleep the day-period away, though- just whenever he needs to and whenever he doesn't have pressing interests. He tends to spend a good amount of time in the Ayesheehue Forest, having no real fear of the lurking Dark Beasts- he's actually quite fond of them, and he tends to name them (many of them are named 'Beatrice' for some reason or another- even he really can't tell them all apart) and idly talk to them... he is tolerated for one reason or another.
His powers mainly lie in shadow-sculpting- sort of an advanced form of shadow puppetry that allows him to make insubstantial constructs from the darkness when the light isn't too overwhelming or too absent. He often uses this power to either intimidate nonbelievers or to merely illustrate points while he is speaking. He cannot create sentient creatures from shadow, like his god can with the Darkness Pockettu... but for some reason his own shadow seems to have gained some weird sort of sentience that allows it to act independently of himself, though it does tend to work in Erebus' best interest- it also receives random names when Erebus speaks to it... usually 'Phil' and sometimes 'Bob.'
Erebus wasn't always a follower of darkness- he was a more traditional nature-Shaman-in-training at some point, but he 'fell down the rabbit hole' and found his way down to Antar's domain... and decided he likes it there. His sentient shadow might be the corruption of a more benevolent spirit he summoned before his fall, or it could be something else entirely. Erebus doesn't really mourn his fall- he's loyal to his god, he's comfortable in the darkness... He disdains the upper word- as well as totally uninterested nonbelievers. Erebus does his best to frighten, disorient and hassle those who cross his path- but he can be chatty, mischievous and sometimes downright helpful to neutral parties, depending on how much respect they show the darkness and his Lord. His healing abilities are rather lacking, though, and he would most likely only use them to help fellow followers of Antar- or those who are willing to pay a tribute to the darkness. Anything he acquires this way that he doesn't -need- to sustain himself is given to Antar- he has no need of much aside from food, his weapon, and the few ornaments his Lord has allowed him to keep.
Erebus, when not directed by Antarmurr'ss or another follower, tends to follow his own whims in many things. After all, his whims are what lead him to the darkness in the first place- so of course he trusts them. Despite his disdain for nonbelievers, he tends to resort to violence as a final measure with them- spooking people is much more fun, after all, and he could be fighting a future follower after all... He does have a berserk button, though, besides blatant disrespect for his Lord- it's people questioning his decision to 'fall' into darkness, or even worse, people who try to -pity- him for doing so. Pressing said button is one of the only ways to lead to swift violence...
Acquired: Raffle Name Meaning: 'Marietta' sounds a lot like 'marionette,' and she's a cursed puppet.
Home: She lives in the attic of Bellerophon's antique dollhouse. He could have sworn he never saw her enter his house- but just... one day she was there, and she refuses to relocate herself. Despite having an unsettling aura, she does help out the shop behind the scenes, and she's actually not -harming- anything... so he doesn't think it's worth it to try and get rid of her.
Concept Personality:Marietta has an intense, unsettling aura to her- sort of radiating menace without actually doing anything other than staring. She doesn't talk much, and she largely keeps to herself... but she can be very stubborn. She has a strange sort of sympathy for inanimate dolls and puppets, and she dislikes anyone breaking, abusing or discarding them. Marietta has an odd habit of tying things that she wants to carry around with her to her dangling strings instead of using a bag or something or the sort unless it's entirely impossible to do so.
