Socks wasn't all that surprised when her attack missed. After all she had been so dizzy she couldn't take proper aim. She was better now and sighted in on Mephisto. "This time." She whispered before firing another shadow ball.

Mephistopheles quickly floated out of the way before firing another dark pulse.

Lenore smiled to herself. It looks like Mef has finally grown accustomed to the erratic style of that shiny eevee. She tilted her head, added to herself, "Although it was funny."

Socks got so frustrated at missing again that she didn't dodge the attack. She slid back several feet and when she looked up at Mephisto she had angry tears in her eyes. She raced forward and jumped into the air, mouth opening wide so she could bite him. She was tired of losing all the time!

Mephistopheles was bitten on the arm. Raising his other arm, he fired off a blast of darkness at the eevee at point blank range.

Masked Socks was blasted back at the point blank range attack. She quickly shook it off and rushed forward again ready to bite. Desperation was making her reckless as she didn't care if she got hit anymore, just as long as she also got him.

((Naw, so long as you use a guaranteed hit move she'll win. Eevees can learn shock wave or aerial ace or something, right?))
Mephistopheles shook his arm that the eevee was clenched onto, growing quickly tired. He fired another dark pulse at the eevee.

Masked Socks hung on even after being blasted by another dark pulse. She grinned at Mephisto and formed a shadow ball close to her mouth. She then fired it point blank. Maybe now it wouldn't miss!

Mephistopheles phased out, but the damage had already been done. He raised his hands in surrender. "You have won, small one. You fought valiantly. It is a victory well-earned. I thank you." He bowed deeply and phased back in before flying up to Lenore, who smiled at the eevee.
Lenore smiled at the other trainer as well, shouting "Your shiny eevee was pretty cool out there!" Without waiting for a response, she turned and ran out with Meph, needing to go to the bathroom.
((I couldn't resist having Lenore bring notice to her mistake and leaving before she could be corrected of it. xD ))

Socks was so happy and shocked that she had won that she broke down crying. She was quickly picked up and spun around. She didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Mephisto.
"Congrats Masked Socks!" Alexa cheered picking up her weary and crying eevee. She had just finished spinning around when she heard the other trainer. "Huh? Socks isn't shiny. She's only a shiny recess...." She never finished as the other was already gone. She shook her head and left as well still congratulating Socks.
