You fail when you don't try" Ж "I mean exactly what I said, love. I can show you the enjoyable things about being an animal. I have spent portions of my life as an animal, sometimes partially and other times in full form. I am a shapeshifter Kyrie." Just because she was one did not mean she had been instantly used to the instincts she possessed. Those changed based on her form and it had taken much practice for Ambrosia to gain as much control over it as she now had. One difference between herself and Kyrie was that she had grown up knowing those instincts to be normal and accepted them as such.
His surprise at her inquiry of him becoming her pet was immediately obvious in his actions. She could see the hesitance in him too. There was silence for a long moment between the two of them as Kyrie stared at the ground in thought. When he did finally look up at her she saw the hesitance in his eyes, and the distrust. She couldn't blame him for feeling like he did though, not after what he had been through. A soft smile graced her lips at his question. "In truth, I require very little of my pets Kyrie. The main thing I am looking for is companionship. I may ask you to perform little tasks from time to time, but I would not ask of you something that I can not do myself. I would never force you to do something against your will either."

Kyrie NwalmærThe elf nodded somewhat absentmindedly as Ambrosia responded to his first question, most of his still attention still geared towards the second, and more important one, for right now at least. His furred ears kept twitching as he carefully considered her request, seeming to have a difficulty deciding. After a minute, which felt much much longer to him, he nodded gently.
"Alright... I'll be your pet." he murmured softly, smiling lightly as his body seemed to relax after finally making the decision. That was all he said, not any sort of requests or conditions, a simple affirmation of her question. He had come to the castle seeking companionship, since he couldn't find it as an outcast in society. There was no reason for him to negotiate at all. The woman seemed very nice and kind, at least so far, and he couldn't help but trust her because of the compassion she had shown him thus far. The decision actually felt like a weight was being lifted from his shoulders as his tail started to swish behind him slowly and contently.
"...haven't met the right one yet."

You fail when you don't try" Ж Ambrosia watched Kyrie silently as she awaited his answer. He seemed to be having a hard time in making the decision and she wondered why that was. After only a minute, he did respond to her though. Kyrie nodded first then spoke, a brilliant smile forming upon Ambrosia's features as he did so. "I am delighted to hear that Kyrie! She wrapped her arms around him in a hug, noticing also that he seemed more relaxed now. "Forgive me if it seems strange to ask this now, but do you have any hobbies...or just things that you like to do?" She wanted to know more about him. Even if the male had not agreed to become her pet she would have stuck around to learn more about him.

"People that don't like cats..."Kyrie Nwalmær Kyrie's ears perked in surprise as she hugged him, before relaxing into the hug. The hug caused him to purr, a light blush crossing his cheeks at the sound of his own purr. "That's good..." he said softly, the blush remaining on his cheeks as his purr slowly went away. The elf blinked and tilted his head at Ambrosia's question, then thought about it. "Well... I've been traveling for a while, so most things I've done to pass my time have been limited by that. I like to read, though lately that has mostly consisted of me trying to learn magic bit by bit." he let out a bit of a laugh, shaking his head slightly before pulling a tin whistle out of a pouch on his belt, twirling it expertly in his hands.
"I do occasionally enjoy playing some music on this, though mostly for my own enjoyment." he added before slipping it back into the pouch. He tilted his head as he tried to think of other things. "I do enjoy the water, though I'm not the best swimmer..." It was clear he was struggling a little to come up with things. "What about you?" he asked back, tilting his head a little as he looked at her.
"...haven't met the right one yet."

You fail when you don't try" Ж The woman smiled as she heard him purr. She was silent as he spoke, listening to every word that fell from his mouth. After a short moment he pulled a tin whistle out of his pouch and began to twirl it in his hands. When he mentioned liking the water but not being the greatest swimmer she chuckled. It was easy to tell that Kyrie was having a hard time coming up with things he enjoyed.
When he tossed the question back at her she smiled and began to speak. "Well, I love to read, like you, but most of the reading I have done recently is only for pleasure. I do have some of my own magic tomes that I could show you later on, and there are a few in the library as well. I love being outdoors and going swimming. I enjoy listening to music but it has been a while since I actually played an instrument. I also enjoy a friendly spar from time to time."

"People that don't like cats..."Kyrie Nwalmær The elf blinked, then let out a soft laugh when she mentioned loving the outdoors. The sound was fairly musical in nature and pleasing on the ears. However, he didn't say anything yet, letting her finish before speaking. He continued to purr softly as he listened, not even realizing he was emitting the feline sounds now. His head tilted a little when she finished.
"I'd completely forgotten, I enjoy the outdoors as well. I just didn't even think about it, considering how much time I've spent outside over the last few years." he replied, smiling softly. "Sparring... its been a long time since I've done that. I'm sure I must be rather out of practice." he murmured, thinking for a bit about when he still lived in his birth-village. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, bringing him back to the present. "I wouldn't mind trying that again."
"...haven't met the right one yet."

You fail when you don't try" Ж Ambrosia smiled when she heard her newest pet laugh. The sound was musical, and she like it very much. Of course, she also loved that purring sound. It appeared he wasn't as concerned about it anymore though, that or hadn't noticed he was making the sound. Maybe it was both... She chuckled lightly when he admitted to forgetting that he enjoyed the outdoors. The woman did understand, once he explained why though. "Well, it's no wonder you did not think of it then. And, my sister, Amaranthe, has a sparring room located near our towers that I'm sure we could use. Unless you would rather go outside that is? I'm not saying we have to right now, by the way. Just wondering where you would like to go if we do." She said with a light smile. It had been a while since she had found a sparring partner.

"People that don't like cats..."Kyrie Nwalmær At Ambrosia's chuckle, a faint blush crossed the elf's face. He nodded lightly at her suggestions, tilting his head a bit. He shrugged a little, still smiling, shaking his head a bit. "It doesn't really matter to me to be honest. Anything sounds good right now, as I've been a bit bored." Kyrie replied softly, his tail still swishing slowly behind him contently.

And if you get bored with our spar we can find something else to do." She said to him cheerfully. Her golden eyes glittered with just a hint of eagerness as she waited for the elf to take her hand. She was curious to see how Kyrie and herself would match up but also to see his style. Her sister's sparring room was where they would head to after leaving the room.

"People that don't like cats..."Kyrie Nwalmær The elf nodded and smiled, taking Ambrosia's hand and standing up, a ripple going down his spine as he stretched a little, then blinked. "I... don't actually have any weapons on me. Are there some I can borrow?" he asked softly. He hadn't actually had a weapon since it was taken from him during his capture. He'd simply relied mostly on his new-found shape-shifting ability to escape from fights if necessary.
Kyrie's eyes watched the woman, seeming thoughtful and a bit distracted. He was sizing her up a bit as an opponent, having not fought for a long time, needing to get back into the feel of it. He didn't even consider the fact that he was staring perhaps a bit too much.
