A warning flag went up in her mind as Evaleen looked over the weapon in her grip, and then several more when she took in the look on his face as he looked it over. He needed the thing....he needed a weapon to do the job she was demanding on him. But, it seemed to easy, way to easy for him to simply run her through with the blade and be done with it. She was going to have to hope that he wanted his freedom enough to keep his bargain with her. It was the only way he would be able to keep his scaly a** out of the market once he was free of her. He needed her help...but still, as she watched him she deeply considered looking into a second guard to watch her first one.

Shacking her head to clear her mind Evaleen pulled herself to her full height...which was not much, and took a firmer grip on the leash. She is a very beautiful blade she told him, voice light and even. Now, I assume you dont need me to guide you about, your eye's may be covered...but you seem to have a decent grip on your surroundings. She toyed with the idea of giving him a light tug with the leash, but thought better of it, no need to piss him off this early in the game. As soon as you give me your name we can be on our way he had failed to answer her earlier question and she really didn't like the idea of simply called him servant.

A smile came to Kainan's lips. Affamato ,our her common name Hunger, was no just a weapon. In Colosseum your "weapon" was the only true family one could every head. He remember this teachers words "You weapon his the only mother you have now. When you dead it well be the only thing to cry for you. Every one else well be to busy cheering for the won the fight, to care about some nobody who didn't even have a name." A another memory came to his mind eyes. The one of Hunger running throw that old teacher of his.
When his new master as for his name the air around him all most became like death it's self."My name is Kainan. As for my clan name it is Myrthraheal."Many slave did not have last names any more or had forgotten then. Kainan on the another spoke his last name with pride. It even sounded hopeful. He thought to him self. "What are you doing Kainan. Like this woman even knows about the royal Myrthraheal would be a shock." After all he was a long way form home who this far east would know if his blood. He shook his head and sigh. "Shall we master?" He point at the door with Affamato.

Before he gave his name Evaleen could feel the temperature around her drop on a slight scale, or maybe that was just her? The name, not his givin name...but the clan...she knew that clan. It would be silly to say that her family had been friends with them...as neither her clan nor the Myrthraheal really had friends outside of their own kin. But...they never seemed to really hate eachother either. Evaleen had even stayed with them for while, hidden among them while the warriors of her kind helped push back another encroaching clan. It had been a trade of services. They keep her among them for a set about of time, protected for would be attackers, and her people helped insure they kept their lands. That was a very long time ago tho...generations ago...if he knew about her people at all it was through some old history.

Kainan.... you could hear her smile in her voice It's an inherited name, yes? She had known a Kainan...long ago...he had been Myrthraheal as well, an ancestor perhaps? Feeling slightly warmer to this bit of walking death on the end of her leash already Evaleen gave a soft sigh My home is well out of the way of any town, do you have any special need's that should be taken care of before we leave? Food....medication?

It was just another hell of a day stuck inside of the steel cage. Liam wished that he could at least get comfortable in order to sleep, but with all the damn chains and shackles rattling that wasn't even possible. He was tired and he wanted to sleep, seeing as it made him a lot moodier than normal. Letting out another low growl of displeasure, Liam supposed he could gaze around the shop floor some more. Like there was much to see in such a dark and dank place. There was of course cages filled with dangerous people much like himself, but there were some empty cages awaiting to be fed with some other tortured being. It was a good thing he family couldn't see him caged like a damned dog. They would be horrified to see such a prideful and majestic creature bound by chains and a cage. It was utterly degrading! It wasn't like there was much he could do about it now... The demon wished that he could go back in time in order to stop himself, but knowing how he was... he would have just ended up fighting along his past self. Some days it was hard being him.

Even though he was blessed with awesome good looks, a rocking body, and the pleasurable talents, it just didn't help him here. He wasn't like he could grab a hold of some body and tell them how awesome he was in bed. He couldn't prove it by being all chained up, and he was sure that he would have an unwilling partner in such an open area. Maybe, just maybe, his good looks would get him out of here though. Of course many women tried to get him out of the cage but he refused them. Giggling females were too damn annoying and he didn't feel like putting up with them. Besides, he was sure they were looking for a bed partner anyways, which he just wasn't interested in. Many would call that odd but women just didn't interest Liam like that. No, he wanted some soft little guy that was a pushover, or possible some cutie that thought he was hard a**. It would be fun to make a "straight" man bat for the same team. Surprisingly enough, a chuckle escaped him at that thought. Who knew someone could life in this god forsaken place.

Of course the guards laughed because they believed it to be fun to poke fun at the caged slaves, but Liam knew soon enough they would get what was coming to them. Karma was always a b***h to deal with, and that would be especially true whenever he got the hell loose. However he would have to wait to get his revenge, even though patience was something that the wolf demon was greatly lacking of. Hopefully some poor soul would come walking in, hoping to tame one of these wild beings. Like it was possible but one could always try, even though their hopes would eventually falter and die. Inhaling a deep breath, stretching as best as he could, Liam let out a yawn. He was bored and wanted to get out of here. The male could feel his muscles just dying away by just sitting like this. However there wasn't much he could do... No.. As much as Liam hated to admit it, he needed a master's help by getting out of this hell hole.

It had been a little humorous to him, all of the looks of confusion and amazement he had received prior to entering the shop. The many layers of ornate fabrics did cause him to stand out against the sleek look of the city fashions most in this area sported, and to be honest that part of the city wasn't the nicest of places to begin with. It couldn't have been, not with a slave shop running openly within.
So, looking way overdressed, he had entered the slave shop with the same calm and collected smile he usually possessed. He greeted a couple who had watched him walk in with a small nod before continuing on to the elevator. The man's plan was to start up at the top, having heard from the person who referred him here a little about the layout of the store.
The fifth floor slaves were said to be dangerous, but maybe he could find someone he could count on to defend his home when he went away to begin pushing the Shadows out of his territory. If not, he could always go to the next floor below and search there.

Stepping out into the floor he was assaulted with heat and the scent of sweat. The room was dark, but he was able to make his way around well enough with smooth, confident steps. Looking around, his expression softened to neutral, he took in what he could see and observed the slaves behind their bars. Most seemed hostile, like they may lash at him if approached. He couldn't have that; Artemis needed someone who he could get to actually work.
A slight rattling of chains from a cage near his legs made him look over to a tired looking man with white and black hair.
"A wolf?" He asked, only halfway directing it at the demon in question. The guardian spirit's curiosity was piqued. This didn't seem like the kind of environment a demon of his nature would inhabit. "How is it that you ended up caged up in the deep city?"

Artemis halfway wondered whether the wolf demon could pick up on the scent of the woods and mountains held in the fabrics of the nature spirit's garments. Would he prefer to be in that sort of environment or had this one grown accustomed to the city and urban life? He looked like he could be a decent fighter, and if this demon could be taught to cooperate and work for him he may be able to end his search here.

He still wasn't in a good mood. At all. He was hoping that he would finally get to take a nap, but every time he settled down and was about to fall asleep, those damned chains started to rattle. Which in turn, made the guards laugh and point at him. Bastards. As soon as he was free from this infernal thing, he would shove his foot so far up their asses... A growl left him at that thought. He wouldn't get out of here as soon as he wanted, no matter how hard he wished it to be so. Closing his eyes and flipping his hair to the side, Liam was almost at the point of exhaustion. A lazy person like himself needed his rest, especially if these people didn't want him to go on a rampage. That was when you wanted to get very far away from the wolf demon. However, what the demon really wanted, was some open space to run. It had been a long time since he had been in his true form, and his body missed it gravely. He would probably end up shifting into that form eventually if he didn't get a large meal and some sleep. It took a lot of energy trying to remain human.

And to only add on to his irritation, it was hot as balls in this place. That was probably the worst thing that someone could do to Liam. That man absolutely hated to be hot! It made his attitude even worse. Trying to stretch himself once more, a growl escaped him as the chains rattled, but he heard a question that made him tilt his head. Finally realizing that someone had come to this floor, Liam was actually amazed to see the man in front of him.
"Yeah I'm wolf. What of it?" Narrowing his tired golden eyes, Liam tried to figure out more about this man. He smelled like home which made a pang of guilt stab him. He didn't like feeling guilty which caused his hand to rub his hip. Then the unknown man's next question came, which Liam first answered with a snort. How did he get here? Well it was kind of obvious wasn't it? He was captured and sold to this ******** place! "I was fighting and the bastards cheated so they knocked me out with tranquilizers and sold me here. Or was you wondering how I came to be in the city at all?" Questioning eyes looked at the man to realize his own eyes were the color of honey. Amazing. "I wanted to learn more and I got bored with just sitting around at home. I came here and started fighting for a living. It's as simple as that." The wolf demon simply shrugged his shoulders and growled once against the chains rattled. The damned annoying things!

Looking at the guy once more, Liam scented him and he found his scent to be comforting. That shocked the hell out of him. Nothing in this place made him feel comfortable but the smell of the mountains and trees... His eyes closed as he started to remember his home and his pack. He could clearly hear the running of the creeks and rivers, the why the rain sounded on their dens deeply hidden within the mountains. The way the mountain valley looked when the first snow came. This one man brought back all of this memories which made him feel guilty. He didn't like it. He also didn't like being the only one to be questioned. Snapping open his eyes, Liam narrowed them in an uneasy glare. Just because this guy smelled nice, didn't mean that he was going to trust him right off the bat. What did he want with him?
"Why are you here? You don't look like the type of guy who comes here. What do you want with me?" Liam felt like he was vulnerable which in reality, he was. Being chained, shackled, and stuck inside of a cage? Well it didn't help his nerves or stress, and the fact that he hadn't sleep very well in the past couple of days didn't help either.

A guard finally sensed Liam's agitated behavior, and the man took a step forward in case Liam tried to harm the possible buying customer. "Sir, may I suggest a calmer slave? Liam here is rather a handful and he has a horrible attitude. If I may suggest, we have much calmer slaves downstairs?" Liam only growled and kicked at the bars of his cage.
"We are having a conversation right now that doesn't belong you! So shut the hell up!" Growling fiercely and narrowing his eyes, the wolf demon finally turned his attention back to the man in front of him. "As you were saying?" Not that Liam wanted to belong to anyone or really do any sort of work, the demon knew that it was the only way to get out of here, and he needed this guy to help him.

Artemis inspected the charms hanging from the wolf's collar with a swift and calculating glance, listening to the reasons given for the demon being here in this shop. The spirit had been looking for a fighter.
He could see it in the wolf's posture and behavior that being chained up was having a detrimental effect on his psyche. It seemed like every time they would make a sound he would voice his feelings for them right back. The behavior was understandable; wolves naturally have a lot of energy to burn and so being in a small enclosed space for a long period of time would make one nearly wild.

Then there was a small moment, just a moment, where the caged man looked like his mind wasn't there with him anymore. He seemed calmer just in that moment, probably reminiscing about home and being out of that cage.
And then he rounded on him, turning the questions onto the guardian spirit instead. Artemis's expression held, not showing too much of the smile that he felt in reaction to the fight still left the wolf demon before him.
"Well..." he'd started to say, only to be interrupted by the concerned guard nearby. Liam's retort was almost a more aggressive mirroring of how Artemis was going to respond. So instead, he smiled politely at the newcomer.
"No, that won't be necessary." His voice carried with it a slight background noise of rustling leaves so faint that a human's ears might not be able to catch it. It was a vocal trick he used sometimes to calm riled animals or lost people that came with being a spirit. It never made him feel guilt to use a little bit of mind manipulation; it was always for their own good.
The guard backed up a step, his stance visibly loosening. Artemis turned his attention back to Liam.
"Actually, I was looking for someone like you, someone with strength."

Artemis looked back to the guard who had stepped in previously.
"I'll be needing a leash for him." With a nod the man went to the corner of the room and grabbed a thick, heavy-duty leash, handing it to Artemis before reaching for his keys to the cage.
Artemis watched the wolf, the only eye he ever had open fixed onto him with a golden gaze. "You'll be coming with me, back to my hotel. I can tell you that you won't be too overworked..." He leaned in to secure the leash onto the tough collar on Liam's neck. "Though, I will warn you that there will be some danger. But if you stay at the hotel you should be fine with whatever comes that close."
The spirit led the demon out of the cage and tried to keep him close, sensing the animosity Liam felt for the guards in that place. "Shall we?" With smooth, gliding steps he took them both to the elevator, the guards moving out of the way for the pair. "Oh, and by the way, my name is Artemis."

His tired honey eyes narrowed as the man in front of him continued to glance at his collar. Why was that piece of s**t so interesting? It did nothing but make him miserable! He was tired, hungry, and in need of a wide open area. He wanted to be able to run and walk. To stretch his aching muscles... That was all he really wanted... and maybe some sex on the side... Just a little.

The man's scent caused him to close his eyes as he started to think of home, and the feeling of being free to roam in those mountains. He wanted to go back home. Just for a little bit and then he could leave again. Thinking about his family though brought on feelings of guilt. His father would be angry to learn that his son still had no interest in women, and that he would never mate with one of the women in the pack. He would be seen as a disgrace no matter how strong and powerful he was. His anger soon took over. Barking out questions to the mystery man, Liam growled as his chains rattled and clanked. He really, really needed to get the hell out of here. If he didn't... well the demon was bound to snap and end up causing more harm than anything. At heart, Liam DeMonte was a wild animal and no one would be ever to tame him. No matter how hard they tried to. Hearing a guard come closer, made Liam snarl. Calmer slaves? Did they not think that he could be calm? Hell Liam could be the calmest one out of them all!! If they would just let him out of this ******** cage!

His muscles started to quiver from exhaustion. He knew that he would be switching back soon and he wouldn't be able to turn back into a man again, until he had rested and ate properly. Flicking his eyes up at the guard and back to the man, Liam narrowed his eyes in thought. This man certainly wasn't human... but what was he? He smelled of mountains and forests. Of the cool rivers that ran freely and eternally. What was he? Blinking his eyes and tilting his head to the side, the wolf demon wondered why he was looking for a fighter. What did this man want with someone like him? Could he not tell that he was wild, unruly, and didn't like to be bossed around? He was a prideful and strong creature. An Alpha! Why did this man think he could possibly control him?
'Because his scent is enough to make you shut up, idiot...' The man growled at his own insult. Now he really was going crazy and hearing something about a leash really didn't help. "Really?! A ******** leash? You plan to treat me like some common ******** dog?! I am a wolf and I will not listen to you!" However that didn't stop the leash from snapping to the collar. ******** great...

His muscles started to shake harder now and Liam bit back a growl. He could hold on until he got out of this place. He needed to dish out the punishment he had been planning for so long, but this guy pulling him along wasn't going to have it. His eyes narrowed in a heated glare as the other man's honey colored eye fixed on him. A hotel? He didn't understand the whole part about staying close. Nothing could hurt him! He was the strongest fighter and wolf demon around! Letting out a snort and crossing his arms over his chest, Liam just rolled his eyes.
"It's not like I've got much of a choice. Whatever... just don't treat me like you damn pet and we'll get along alright..." It gave him some satsifaction that the guards stepped away from them as they walked. It was a very powerful feeling. One that the wolf demon enjoyed greatly. Hearing this mystery man's name, Liam closed his eyes and nodded his head. "The name is Liam. Something you need to know... I can't hold this form for much longer, and when I switch I need you to let me rest and eat well. This shouldn't be too much of a problem." The man shrugged his shoulders and waited for him to pay for him before leaving the building.

However as the transaction took place, the demon male let out a groan of pain before he shifted into a large four hundred pound wolf that stood five feet and four inches tall. The collar grew and adjusted to the new size, but the metal was still quite snug making sure it couldn't slip off. Golden eyes looked up at Artemis. He wanted to get out of here so he could sleep and eat. Then he might help the guy out... As long as it wasn't something too troublesome, but Liam would still work just a bit seeing as he had a debt to repay.
