It's like they put all their effort in to the first half and the
death of Mordin.
We do not speak of that name here. To much pain crying
Tell me about it, way to off a character I actually liked there Bioware!

I'm going to have to admit that the death of "he who shall be nameless" was actually from a thematic and writing prespective a very good job and that fact we feel so sad a sign it was well written.

Being well written ,in my opinion atleast, doesn't make it alright to get rid of a popular character. I mean seriously its either "He who shall not be named" or Eve(and i think Wrex/Wreve) crying and i like all of those characters

I still stand behind that the death of a popular character isn't automaticly a bad thing. Besides if the character was unpopular there would be no weight behind the death scene emontionaly. While we shouldn't just kill characters stupidly and in large numbers for shock value (see DC and Countdown) a character finding redemption in death or character death in general shouldn't be banned from fiction.

Onto a new topic here is something I noticed when I jumped from my MaleShep playthrought to my FemShep one. When Ash is hospitalized she still has her clothes on while when Kaiden is hospitalized they remove his shirt. Now I know why in the real world Bioware did this with a shirtless male much easier to get away than say a shirtless female but my question is more in universe. For one thing why does Kaiden need to lose the shirt to be healed if Ash doesn't and if it is more of a shirtless men are not as taboo thing in universe then how does that work. You can have gay mariage and it is treated like an every day thing, dating aliens while not one hundred percent accepted it seems still happens with such couples seemingly aloud mariage rights, but a female human should still keep her shirt on. Honestly this little difference raises alot fo questions in my mind.

As someone who's been writing for a long time I was really disappointed with that particular scene because it was overly reliant on cheap, over used tropes that really weren't done very well.
The concept of a scientist wanting redemption has been done to death. Seen V is for Vendetta? Whilst I can't argue against character death
Ironhide anyone?!
, I really can't get behind saying Mordin's was particularly well done, it was pretty predictably going to happen the minute you set foot on Tuchunka. Kind of like Thane on the Citadel, his being there was an automatic alarm bell that he was going to die (Why wouldn't he be getting better, specialised medical care from the hanar?). Only one I didn't see coming (because it made no sense ...) was Legion and that one was so badly done it was kind of a 'meh' moment!

1.) People would pitch a fit if there was bare boobies all out like that, esp. if it's an unconscious woman. That's pretty much it (that and they probably can't animate a blanket that high up for some reason). 2.) Kaidan needs to have his shirt off so I may perform the sexual healing. xd
Another question why did Ash get promoted by more ranks than Kaiden. I mean I know they where different ranks in the first game but it still seems weird. Well that and the rapid promotion in general.
