Oh, well that explained it well enough. Jericho had almost forgotten that Shehk had been a FEARleader at the school. He didn't really keep up with the sports too much. ... Did any of the teams still play in the first place? Hm.
He snapped from those thoughts as she continued on with the other question before presenting one of her own. He hadn't really expected it, despite helping plan the event. The dragon had really just been.. preocuppied with other things to really think about getting a date for the occasion.
"Oh.. uh sure," he said with a faint smile.

Shehk had never actually been to a sporting event. Everybody was too busy getting killed by snowmen and trees right out the door for much to have happened, after all.
Still, as she waited for an answer her tail began to wag faster and faster, a hopeful look coming over her face. In fact, her tail was starting to wag so fast it was leaving after images by the time he actually did answer. She perked up even more than she already was, grinning like a maniac.
"Really?" A high pitched noise of excitement followed. After all, prom for her last year had been.............
Yeah.
Either way, there were hugs and Shehk seemed to be rather excited about it.

Jericho's answer seemed to have really excited Shehk. With a soft chuckle, he nodded.
"Well... it couldn't hurt. Not like I had a date already anyway," he said while patting the Pricolici lightly.
"To be honest though.. .I wasn't even sure if I was gonna go. There'll be.. a lot of people there."

"Hmph, if you had I would have challenged her to a dual for 'Take Jericho to Prom rights'...or him......." she paused as Malodore flashed into her head. "or it......" yeah, that had turned awkwardly territorial really quick and she laughed a bit.
"I'll tell you what. If you feel uncomfortable at any point in time during the evening and want to leave really-super-badly, I'll leave with you. I know how it is to be somewhere when you kind of feel like you shouldn't be." Shehk sighed, thinking of the skull-and-mechanical corsage she still had from the year before. She actually kind of felt bad about that.
"But I want you to get out and have more fun than you've been having. There's no point in surviving the way you have been if you're not living a little...right?"

Jericho laughed lightly again at the idea. It was kind of strange in a way, but amusing as well. At her offer though, his smile grew a little warmer.
"I'd appreciate that. But... I don't know if we should just ditch Junko and Christof to run the event... I may.. need to step outside now and then though. Just... to get away from the crowds. I'm not quite as social as I used to be unfortunately," he said with another weak chuckle. A little fun probably really couldn't hurt. He really hadn't been having any over all, especially since he broke all his video games.

"I guess that's true. We do need to try and stick around for things a bit. But like I said, anything you need to do to be comfortable I'll fully support you in. I know things are a bit trying for you with everything going on. I'm just.. I dunno, I'm selfish." she laughed suddenly, "I want to monopolize time with you where you're at least happier than you have been. I like you that way."
Shehk playfully pinched his cheeks before she finally let go of him, dropping down to her feet before stretching out as though the position she'd been holding onto was actually really uncomfortable.

The dragon shifted a bit as she spoke.
"I think most people like me when I'm happier," he said before looking up from the ground.
"I know I need to keep pressing forth. Sometimes.. my will and heart have trouble keeping up with this.." he uttered quietly.
"Things have changed. Things that once shimmered.. lost their gleam.. A lot of things seem so much duller now."

She couldn't help but frown a bit.
"I know you're not choosing to be this way right now, I mean, it isn't a preferable state of being. It isn't fun being sad or reclusive or feeling like the world just isn't where you should be right now." She leaned in to hug him sympathetically. "Or like you have to act like you're made of glass."
He really did seem down, and it kind of made her feel powerless. "I wish there was more I could offer you to try and make things easier for you, I guess."

Jericho just nodded sadly while weakly hugging Shehk in turn.
"Unfortunately I don't think there's really much that could be done about it right now.." he uttered. Granted, if Riley was truly alive again, that would lift spirits for sure. However, he had his doubts that it would fix everything. It would just be one less issue to deal with for the most part. It was really the weight of all the things combined that was making it difficult.

His hug back just made her squeeze tighter, cradling her head in the crook of his neck.
"I'll be here when there is something I can do about it though. Anything. Just...anything I can do to try and make things easier for you, I'll do it." she replied softly. Even if all she could do right then was little things. "Even if that's just replying to texts at four in the morning for some silly banter. I'm up for that too."

"I'll keep that in mind" he nodded before pulling back so he could look at Shehk more directly, "Thanks... for checking up on me by the way."
It was an unexpected visit, but it was still nice as far as he was concerned.

She laughed a bit, giving him a slight smile. "Of course! I care about you. Least I can do to come over every now and then to make sure you're holding up still." she patted him on the shoulder with a small sigh. "I mean, even if it was a bit unannounced."

Smiling weakly, Jericho shook his head to himself.
"Well you wouldn't be the only one to do that. Lately most people don't really give much of a heads up and just show at my door. It's not a bad thing though.. not like I'm doing anything shifty in here," he said with a weak chuckle.

Shehk looked over his room.
"'He's sitting in a room with mostly nothing in it!'" she feigned theatrics, "He clearly is up to something!!" she continued, laughing before she leaned against him. "But seriously. Just text people a bit and we'll be less worried if you died in here or something."
