Oh my Aedra, I just realized. If you look at the painting, you'll notice that I painted in her knit scarf. Rumarin is wearing one under his doublet as well. Please tell me you implemented that detail after seeing it, otherwise I have to go slap the indigo child out my head before do something else creepy and precognitive.

I'm kinda concerned that the guild venue might have turned off a few people....if thats the case I'm okay with going back to a thread in Barton....its true what mishral said about the convenience of checking threads...

I could easily move the threads. Want me to copy-paste it all into Barton and set us up anew?

I guess it's because some of them might feel like guilds have a way of being obligatory. On the other hand, they were initially interested in the roleplay even though a major prerequisite was consistent contribution.

Thanks. biggrin It's an old favourite I go back to from time to time. I like yours. PURPLE VEST YAAAY~!
I'll find out from Jay if she wants me to move the thread, and I'll do that tomorrow. I'm going to work on making the Standing Stones into something we can use in text-based RP, too, because I loved the birth signs from Oblivion...
What to do about the Thief, Mage, Warrior, and Lover Stones!? All the rest have something that works for RP, but those ones just make you learn skills faster... awaaaaa.

I'll keep my eyes on what's going on, of course. I just started a big carving project, and haven't nicked myself yet. cat_xd
That is a tough one. We could perhaps think of them as a general augment to their focus, and regard the others as unique conditions or extreme variations.
I actually meant to ask, would it be silly to add a thing about perks?
I mathematically estimated Ayran's encumbrance. That may or may not have been silly.

I mathematically estimated Ayran's encumbrance. That may or may not have been silly. I used to carve, and it really helped with my knife-fear. I have nooo clue where the tools my uncle gave me for it all went, though... >w> I bet m'folks have it all, somewhere.
There's an idea, for the Stones. I'm sure there's a solution! It'd be nice to add them.
Also, as for perks... I think it'd be an unnecessary headache. I think it's safe to assume that if somebody has a certain level of ability in a skill, they likely have many of the perks that come with it. Most of the perks just wouldn't translate well or easily into a text-based RP. I don't have the brainpower to try and do that. XD
Adding up weights for inventory is fine, I do that sometimes. :3

I love carving. Should perhaps say whittling, but that's just me being hard on myself for lack of proper hardwood tools. No opportunity to get to my grandfather's house this weekend, so I just had to wing it. cat_pirate
[I had the scary opposite of knife fear. Blade-happy. Nervous habit of tossing pocket knives and catching them. I can't believe they let me train in fencing.]
Yeah on second thought we can dump the perks. I don't know if I could rationalize doing a Fallout roleplay without at least alluding to perks, but they aren't after all that relevant to the Elder Scrolls.
That and the weight counter reminds me. I think I'd like to join a fallout roleplay at some point. I enjoyed Fallout almost as much as TES, and I dig hard-core survivor narratives.

Yeah I say lets go ahead and move the thread. Perhaps if someone chose one of those signs, all those skills would be augmented above normal. (to what extent I am not sure) And about perks - What if every character get's one perk starting out in their field of expertise? All would have to be approved of course to be level appropriate and not too powerful.

If I get a Fallout RP up, I'll have to invite both of you, then. (: I tried to use Fallout Perks in my old Fallout merc guild... it, uh, didn't go well. Some people used the Perks to create loopholes in order to build somewhat broken builds. So I doubt I'll be doing that again, in the several Fallout RPs I've been in I've never seen Perks work out well. ):
Now, Jay: That's not a bad idea. Maybe Thief, Magician and Warrior Stones/Birthsigns [I lean towards Birthsigns, because there likely won't be opportunity for people to go visiting Standing Stones to change powers] can "strengthen" one existing Skill within the Combat, Magic and Stealth categories. The Lover does 15 percent for all, which doesn't work, but its old Oblivion ability [Lover's Kiss] could do with some minor alteration.
As for perks in this RP: a single one won't amount to much. I think we're fine as we are. I'm really, really against bothering with them in a specific way, they were designed for a video game system and not for free-form RP. We have enough structure to balance characters and represent what the characters can do. Perks would require retooling, since many of them involve percentage increases that are best for a dice system or a video game. I think the most we can do is say that characters have perks for their skills that suit the rank of the skill and to not get too fussy about it when writing.

Yeah I could really live without perks. They don't add much. I really think we should push to apply birthsigns, though. They are kind of relevant, lore wise.
And please do, I'm hankering to strap on my pip-boy.
I'm over here doodling on break again.
