Eric knew that was the truth, but he was sure he could easily get a job and earn enough money to rent one. He didn't mention the other more important reason he lived on-campus: Lord Death had insisted. To keep an eye on him. "Yeah, I have my own room." He continued. "I'm just special like that I guess."

Raine StrifeHart Eric smiled as she leaned her head on him. "Definitely a good thing," He said, referring to Dara's father's approval. "And thanks for the invite," He said. He turned to her. "Why don't you tell me more about yourself?" He asked. "Your family does seem pretty interesting."

My family was basically a group of nomads. Because of that I don't have many friends that have lasted long. My dad, he has this goal to surpass God. I don't think he can but I help him." "Wow," said Eric. "Can't say he doesn't aim high." He squeezed her gently. "Not a lot of friends huh? It's okay. I didn't really either. And wandering around seeing the world sounds kinda fun, especially with a family as...interesting as yours."

Eric nodded at her. "Yeah, me too." He said, smiling. "You've got a good setup here Dara," he said as he leaned back, resting the back of his head on the edge of the hotspring. "And yeah, we will be the best." He put his arm around her. "We'll travel the world together too."

You have my word on it." Dara promised. If anything, she wanted Eric to be happy. He was helping her become stronger so she was going to help him put an end to the awful arenas he mentioned.
