Urza lowered her hand as Yuzuki began talking. So Ninja's did not seem to be so different in philosophy as a Knight. This Nindo... Or ninja way, to Urza it was just a different way of wording a Knights creed. Urza crossed her fingers and rested her head on her hands listening to Yukuzi's grand speech. It reminded her in a way of a general giving command to his soldiers. Or priest giving faith to his people. As she listened she tried to keep track of what the man was saying. Otobe seemed to be the ruling class of this land, just as the Knights were the ruling class of hers, and there was that name... Uchiha... It seemed to be very unpopular. Urza would have to read up on why that was later. For now Urza stood and gave the Knights thanks before heading outside with the others. One of her fellow students, Alucard she believed his name to be, had taken of a few pieces of clothing. It was such and odd concept to Urza. For her training always meant adding more weight making ones self more uncomfortable, but for these ninja, it seemed to be the opposite.

The more Urza thought about it the more it made sense. After all stories of the ninja always included magic and the fact they would come like shadows, quick and silent. The more she was surrounded by this land culture, the more she became fascinated with it. But there was a task at hand. Urza and her fellow students were to run laps around the building, she had planned on running more earlier that day as is so this task seemed perfect for her. She would not be able to work on endurance running however, like she had planned, and instead had to work more on speed running to keep up with her fellow classmates. As Urza began to run she tripped almost instantly over a crack in the ground. The outside of the school was not as well kept as the track, and big blundering Urza and her armor were going to need to be much more careful. It was bad enough that that she had tripped, but the fact it was the first lap made it all the more worse.

Kina, however, looked to be in just as poor a shape. The girl seemed to slow to a halt right beside where Urza had stumbled, catching her breath looking as though she had run a mile already. "Huff... huff..." the short haired girl breathed somewhat laborly. "I...wasn't....made...for this sort've stuff..." She seemed to push herself onward, but looked labored none the less. The Maboroshi clan may have been born brilliant, with minds hard wired for understanding illusions, but their bodies were not at all made for hard physical labor by any means. She looked over at Urza as she fought to keep up with the armored girl. "So...your armor...are you from the same land as that other boy...?" The girl's mellow attitude was betrayed by her knowledge of the other students. Though she had earlier been pretending not to pay attention, it seemed that the girl was far more...aware, then she let on.

Even if it was a little hard to tell...

Mido, meanwhile, was keeping neck and neck with Alucard. "whew...geez man, don't run so fast...it was a good move taking off the shirt, but if you get too far ahead the ladies won't get a chance to check it out." he put on a forced smile as he said this, nodding though occasionally giving brief glimpses behind them at several female members of the class. "Unless..." Mido reasoned with himself. "You're trying to play hard to get...make em work for it by becoming something unattainable, then at the finish line...bam..." he made a hand gesture even as he ran. "Pick up line..." he said as though discussing the finishing move to a grueling battle. He gave Alucard an approving nod. "Good move newbie. I like your style." he said all this without giving the other boy much room to interject, apparently the sort of person to pay more attention to his own train of thought than that of others, but as he fell into silence, he was open to questions as they ran.

User Image

"Hey! Don't even THINK that just because you two are running faster than me that means anything! I'm gonna awaken my TRUE potential when we get to the finish line! *pant* Just...you....wait...!"

Keeping up the pace Alucard looked at Mido, "Mido it was?" Asking with things reversed a bit, as he kept running as he did not want to be left behind as he thought of how he used to ran at home slightly. "what you mean with ladies? Also keep eye on road or trip will happen," Alucard tried his hardest to speak the right words, but it still came out wrong even as he spoke. His intentions were to say, Mido was it?, what do you mean with the ladies? and keep an eye on the path for you might trip. His mind knew what he was meaning, and he was hoping Mido would understand what he meant, for Alucard was not finding interest in this person he ran next to. Alucard towered over most of the other students, but in his mind he still felt like he was the same height as them."Mister big mouth, just keep up," Alucard said as he was trying not to get distracted by these two for they were starting to get annoying, between one being very perverted, and the other being loud mouth and smart a** in nature it seemed. Alucard kept running as he was planning to ignore them and hopefully try and out run them.

Urza looked behind her, to her surprise she was still beating two students, though she slowed a bit so that her and Kina could converse. For being so quite and uninterested the girl sure had a good eye for detail. She could hear the girls breath was already becoming labored and harsh, Urza may not have been the quickest out of the box, but she was built to last. The blonde haired knight looked forward thinking about the land where she had come from, and than to Alucard. "No, I don't think so." Urza came to the conclusion that thought they were both west of the land they currently in, it was different enough that she couldn't count them from the same land. "I'm not sure how far west he is from. His dialect is different than what we Knights use." Urza looked behind her once more before giving a slight sigh. "Should we slow for... Yokijo?" Part of Urza wanted nothing more than to take off at a sprint and pass everyone, to show them that even in her armor she was as quick as the best of them, however she couldn't leave anyone behind. "I would suggest that we pick up the pace to the other two, but we left Yokijo hanging in the wind earlier, we should take care of one another. Don't you think?"

Kina seemed to give the matter a though for a moment, her eyes casting straight up towards the sky as she did so. "Hm... well...I suppose that would be the most logical course of action. The more we rely on one another...the stronger we'll be." She looked over her shoulder, as she, strangely held up one finger as though showing it to the straggling boy. "Pardon, obnoxious gnome like individual."

User Image

"Okay," a vein appeared in Yokijo fore head. "You had better not be talking to me!? I'll have you know that there's no comparing me with something like a gnome! Maybe dragon or entire army of bears with kunai, but-" yet, even as he glared at the girl fighting to keep up, his eyes seemed to go out of focus.

Kina was slowly waving her figure back and forth, the insides of her iris's giving off a faint shimmer. "You have the the strength of ten men." she informed him in a rather monotonous voice, as though she had better things to concern herself with."

Yokijo's eyes suddenly seemed to spring back focus, his body suddenly seeming to forget fatigue as he began to laugh loudly, suddenly shooting forward at a much faster sprint as he caught up neck and neck with the girl's. "AHA! I am have the speed of ten hens! MUHAHAHA!"

Kina gave a slight sigh, lowering her finger. "Ah...darn it... that wasn't how it was supposed to work..." she looked back to Urza. "Well, at least he caught up..." she gave an even longer sigh. "I suppose my Kekke Genkai still needs some work..."

User Image

Mido, meanwhile, was running along with Alucard still. "Hm, why ladies? Heh," he gave a look forward. "That's easy my friend. Because..." he held up his finger as though declaring to him the secret of the universe. "because girls are beautiful things which must be admired and worshiped at all times..." he seemed to pause for a much longer moment even as they ran, giving it more thought. "and because if I'm going to be able to live up to that guy, I need to at least date 100 girls. He said so." he folded his arms nodding, still running. "That and get a cool cape and mask, but he specifically emphasized the girls..." he gave a dull faced nod as though it was obvious as to why the girls would be the most important. "I guess being a famous phantom thief requires you to have alot of charm...so you have to practice on girls, see?" he looked deadly serious to an almost comical degree. "So you could say that this is a part of my ninja training..." he gave a slightly self contented smile. "Even if it does have it's perks...ya know, the dating the girls.

As Alucard was trying to ignore some of what Mido said, it was Alucard's habit to think on things that he had heard from people. Even if it was not directed at him. As Alucrd kept running he had started to pick up the pace as he fully sprinting without realizing it. As he thought on the thought of women he had looked behind him slightly as he was running ahead of most of the other students. Hearing a few students holler at him, Alucard slowed down a lot since he was letting the other students catch up to him. Alucard went out of his daze of thought when some others had caught up to him saying thank you for slowing down, Alucard only nodded as he ran near the front of the group of students. This was a first for him to run with so many people, but he was enjoying it. As he went to thinking on Mido's words Alucard spoke up to Mido, "If you go after girls so much, wont you lack in your skill as a ninja, which makes them look away if you is weak in skills?" he asked seriously to Mido as Alucard was looking around as he kept running around the track. "And who you trying be better than?" he had asked very curiously and casually as they all ran. 'I want a toothpick,' Alucard thought as he liked the idea of chewing on something while walking around and also to use it as a small piece of his whole self for he had remembered a man that used to have a toothpick in his mouth in which it made him look very cool and also made it seem like the man Alucard had seen, was very relaxed when ever it was in that man' mouth. But as he let the thought go away, he had smiled as he made it his goal to go get some and learn to talk with it in his mouth, and to always have one. After his thoughts left him Alucard hollered to everyone. "Only few laps left. Lets Hurry," he said in his accent as he wanted the running part to be over soon. Also he was hoping the others would pick up the pace at the moment for he felt like he was going very slow at this moment for he was used to running at full speed when ever he ran.

Urza couldn't contain a chuckle as Kina called Yokijo a gnome. For someone who seemed to be careless she had quite the humor on her. Urza watched as Kina did something she hadn't expected. The young girl raised her finger hypnotized the boy. She didn't know how it worked, or what had just happened, but Yokijo was soon running at the same pace of the two girls. "Makers breath..." Urza gasped to herself. The young Knight could hardly believe what she had just seen. Was this the magic her father had talked about? Urza as her eyes forward and kept her face stern, so this was the type of power she would be put up against? Urza kept running, trying to push the pace of the three to match to two leaders. Alucard was much swifter than her however, and from the way he was running it seemed to her that he just wanted to get the task done, but kept being slowed by Mido.

Urza was curious about what they were discussing, but was more curious about what Kina had just said. Urza gave a slight nod as she mentioned Yukijo catching up, but it was what she said after that truly caught her ear. "Kekke Genkai?" Urza inquired, "Is that what the magic you used on Yukijo is called?" Urza was so fascinated by this new revelation that she was hardly paying attention to where she was running. Her toe got caught on the edge of a crack and caused her to stumble, however she was able to catch herself just before she fell and continued running all the same.

Kina gave a somewhat gentle smile as she laughed quietly at the other girl's reaction. "Hn, Magic? Well..." she looked ahead with an almost dreamy look in her eye, as though seeing something far beyond what was before them. "I guess you could call it magic... of a kind." she held her finger, pointing to it with her other as they ran. "My...family, I guess you could say, has a special ability that we've developed over many generations. It's sort've become a part of who we are now." she waved her finger back and forth, but didn't activate her ability, merely demonstrating. "We can use pendulum like motions to send our chakra...our...how to put it in a manner you might understand...a piece of our spirit, almost, into other people." she lowered her hand as she continued to have to fight to keep up. "It allows us to control people on various levels...kind of like hypnosis. The ability itself is called "Trance" she gave another soft laugh. "It's kind of how we got our nick name..." she looked over at the boy still running beside them,

User Image

"AHHAHAHAHA! TEN HENS! MUHAHAHA!"

She sighed looking back to Urza. "A real Master of it could control a person completely, make them move or do however they wanted, but it's difficult to do it on a person with a strong will, your mind has to be able to overcome a persons will, or it won't work." she seemed to look at the girl's armor. "What about you...that armor looks like it's at the level of Masuta craftsmanship...surely making that has to be a well kept tradition as well?"

User Image

Mido gave a proud smile at being asked this question. "No no, you have it all wrong. Dating girls is the secret to Ninja training! Charisma is the greatest aspect a Ninja can have..." he fell slightly discouraged. "And frankly I suck at it...so I need to work really hard in order to catch up that that guy." his dull eyes seemed to gain a hilariously unenthusiastic flare in them. "As for who he is, that's kinda hard...i don't actually know his name...but..." his eyes became dead serious. "But that guy...he stole everything that my family had...we used to be really wealthy, but then in one night he took everything, just like that! He swooped like with his slick moves and his awesome disguises and BAM, made off with a vault worth of Ryo...it was totally freakin cool..." he clenched his fist. "So naturally...I need to become JUST like him. That way I can catch him and..." he adapted a slightly odd smirk. "Thank him for inspiring me to greatness!"

There we many quuestions that could be asked at this moment, such as why on earth he was actually admiring the person who had taken everything from him, or even why he seemed genuinely grateful for it, but the most pressing question that struck one of the nearby students who was running with them, was...

"Dude...are you talking about...Phantom?"

"Hey! He was that guy that swooped in two years ago and stole the amethyst statue!"

"I heard that he faced down the infamous team four and LIVED!"

"Dude, forget that, he took on Sonic fist Mikito and lived, THAT get's just as many props!"

Mido was nodding contentedly. "Yes. Exactly..." he pointed a nod. "So, that answer your question newbie? Say, I guess I can't keep callin you Newbie huh...how about..." he looked at the tattoo on the boy, raising a brow. "Hmm...Skull kid. Yeah, awesome. So Skull kid, where'd you get that tattoo anyway, it's pretty hard core."

Nodding softly as he was understanding what they were talking about he still had no clue who they were talking about. Shrugging softly, he smiled a lot as he looked at his back slightly as he kept running. As Alucard was running it seemed as if he would not quit running for they had completed several laps already, but Alucard seemed to just breath normally as if he was on a brisk walk instead of a run. Alucard kept his breath calm, as he decided to tell some of his story. "It is from an underground organization that i was apart of," he had said as he clenched his hands while running, slowly starting to run a bit faster. "If world ends the flag will remained raised," he said calmly as it was a motto that he was forced to remember. Getting a bit frustrated as he ran, Alucard started to run even faster as he yelled under his breath in his own language, that he hoped no one could understand. "This Image is burned into me, but my will, guides me according to destroy the past and gain a new life." Alucard had yelled in his language as he fully sprinted off going faster than most of the other students. Hearing a few students mumble trying to figure out what he said his eyes seemed to burn with a strong passion to really take out several people and leave those that he hated, truly hated, behind in a unmarked grave six feet under.

User Image As Urza continued to run along side Kina she began to explain what a kekke genkai was. The way Urza understood it, it was a magical power, but a very rare one that was passed down through bloodline. Not everyone possessed a kekke genkai, and not all kekke gekai were the same. As Kina went on to explain to Urza what chakra was the Knight began getting a clearer and clearer picture of how the land worked. It had been almost no time at all, and yet Urza and her fellow classmates had already finished half of the required laps. As Urza continued talking Kina addressed the white elephant in the room. Urza smiled, even though she had never heard of the Masuta she assumed it was a complement. "Very few Knights actually make armor, because very few possess the power to." Urza looked ahead as she ran, her breath coming as easy to her as it had during the first lap. "I guess you could say that. Though it is not so much the craftsmanship that is passed down, as the level and skill can very from person to person. What makes our armor special it what binds all Knights together." Urza closed her eyes envisioning her father making his armor. Urza's armor was simply steel pounded into shape. She did not yet have to power and skill to make her true Knights armor, "What makes our armor legandary is that it is blessed by God." Urza laughed, she was sure this sounded just as crazy to Kina as when Kina had told Urza that she could shoot out her spirit to possess other people.

Kina gave a nod of understanding. "I see...a god...that sounds very similar to the Otobe and their beliefs." she seemed to turn over the concept in her mind. "There have been people who have made contracts with powerful spirits...I suppose that might be the sort've thing that your talking about...there are far too many definitions of the word "god" to really be sure. I suppose it all depends on what you consider to be a god." she continued to ignore the whooping and hollering from Yokijo right next to them. "My clan is very..." she seemed to think on how to word it. "Logically oriented. Our minds are made to see through illusions and seek the truth of things, so it's very difficult for us to have..."faith" as other people might see it." she looked up in the direction of the sky. "Though, not impossible. The existence of an entity which exists outside logic itself is a logical necessity, as logic, a series of reactions, cannot stand by itself without an original action which precedes it." she turned mellow eyes back to Urza. "I don't really know if you'd call that "god" but...well, I suppose it's something." she gave another of soft smiles. "Still, I do believe that faith is something to be admired, even if I find it...difficult. Perhaps even because I find it difficult." She shrugged. "This God then, what exactly does it ask in return for it's blessing? Or...does it ask anything at all...?"

User Image

"Wow," Mido complimented huffing and puffing as he fought to keep up with the other boy. "You can really book skull kid..." he raised an eyebrow at him, looking somewhat aggravated as they ran. "Very serious, i did smuggle things," Alucard said as he was running at a decent speed that he liked as he was trying to calm down a bit from getting fustrated from a memory, "it no prayer, motto," saying as they were running around the building. "it something i committed to for what i say," Alucard said a little calmly as his voice was showing signs of him being angry. Just as soon as Alucard was trying to run faster, to try and calm down, he had missed the sight of a rock out of his own frustration from remembering something. Landing face first very hard, Alucard slowly had gotten up after landing face first in front of the school for that was where he was going around at this point of his laps.. "Got to restart this thing dang it," he had said to himself a little out loud in his own language and frustrated at that as well.

User Image Urza glad to be having this conversation with Kina. Earlier that day she had been running all alone, and although it was more efficient, it was also much more droll. So having this conversational partner was making the entire exercise much more enjoyable. Urza focused on her steps as she listened to Kina talk. Urza was not surprised the in this land they followed different religious beliefs and ideologies, hell even in her homeland it was that way. What Kina said about her brain being logically wired however made no sense to Urza. Weren't all people logically minded to an extent? Perhaps she would find out in time. the way Kina explained her god made as little sense to Urza, while at the same time making perfect sense. An action to start all reactions. Urza was a bit taken aback she was asked what her God asked of her. "He asks us for truth..." Urza tried to figure out a way to phrase what she meant, "He asks us for nothing, yet expects of us everything." Urza closed her eyes struggling to find the right words. "I suppose it is a bit like being a ninja. You are not asked to help a friend, yet you will. Our God expects the same of us. He does not ask us to give our life to serve Him, but he expects nothing less that faith and protection of his name, and the name of those closest to us." Urza nodded her head a bit, thinking that she had phrased it quite eloquently.

Kina laughed good heartedly. "My...that is indeed a lofty ideal to live up to..." she seemed to stare off in the distance again as they continued to trudge through their instructors exercise. "I guess... that's what I want to believe a Ninja is. You're right. I want to believe that But...the truth of the matter is that Morality...true goodness...truth itself..." she held her hand up to the sun as they ran, appearing to place her fingers around it's rim from her own point of view. "Trying to truly grasp things like good, evil, or even being Ninja, is like trying to hold the sun between your fingers. A fool can do as I am doing and think he has it in his grasp, and from his eyes it makes perfect sense...but it's still nothing but an illusion." she lowered her hand. "People who claim absolute goodness or even evil... it's the same thing." she stared ahead, her eyes still soft. "We Maboroshi...we cannot deceive ourselves easily...we find it difficult to believe in such things...that is what I meant before about our minds. Still..." she closed her eyes as they ran. "Your ideal...I like the sound of it very much." she opened her eyes and smiled at Urza. "You're god sounds like a fine one indeed. Just as, from what I've seen, The Otokage's vision of a Ninja, one who protects others because it's a part of who they are...is one worth believing in." she then looked as though she was recalling someone elses words. "Even if it is only an illusion...some illusions...whether they are true our not...are still worth fighting for, and believing in."

She gave a slight pause, looking slightly melancholy. "I didn't understand what he meant before, when he told me that. The one that I intend to track down. But I suppose I do..." she gave a slight chuckle, brightening up slightly. "Ah, sorry...another problem we tend to have is dazing off. If I start to zone out you can just tap me or something." she laughed again. "So, then, you make it seem as though this god of yours has a larger following... I'm guessing it's spread beyond your family? Or...how large is your family?"

User Image

Mido gave a dismissive grin. "I'm assuming you were wswearing just then? Heh, amazing what get's through the language barrier eh? Eh, don't worry about it Skull kid, I'll do the extra one with ya. Less time I have to spend around tall blonde and heartless in there the better." he seemed to fall back into step as they continued. "Hey, anyway, that motto of yours, do you know what it means in our language? Why are you so dead set on it? I mean, seriously, you were on FIRE back there when you said it, you looked like The Devil (Otogakurans when using this phrase refer to the first Otokage, Orochimaru) was on your heels."
