((ok so turns out druids cant be a majin so ignore all majin reffs to lazy to go back and change it xD)) "Don't be so sure that you haven't." Bane replied mockingly to Magnus about the scatterbrained thing. Though maybe not scatterbrained his brain has certainly never been in the right place. "Well you should learn more. That plant would not have saved your life. And you can never rely on others you're just lucky in this case." Bane scolded Magnus he thought alone foolish enough to rely on other should be told they are wrong for doing so. Bane's eyes narrowed their was hesitation in the man's answer. Question was what did the hesitation mean? Was it from the pain? Or was he lying? Or just not saying the whole truth? "Hmmm....I can feed you after this only if you can walk a bit I'm not making another trip all the way to one of my hiding spots then all the way back here again. Despite being a loner druid I do have a life you know." He joked and yet he was serious too. "Oh you wouldn't believe how many come to die in the forest after a battle or escape as it sometimes will be. I will be honest and tell you since you are well within my hands right now that I do one or two things. Leave them and let them rot or quickening their process of dying by pretends to lend them help. In this case don't worry I'm helping you for real." Bane said with a smirk wondering how Magnus might react to what Bane just said.

(No worries, I can mentally correct that easily enough ^_^) Magnus closed his eyes for a moment, "No, it wouldn't have saved me, but it might have given me enough time to get back to a doctor or something. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting so much trouble from that witch eater." Now that Magnus could feel some strength returning to him, he was really quite furious at himself. He was better than this... ending up near dead in some forest. It's not that he never got injured, but it had been a long while since it had been this bad. Those irritated emotions seemed to make Magnus warmer... the heat based magic within him warming his skin to an almost fever like feel. He opened his eyes again, squinting at Bane, "I'll be able to walk. If I can't do that much after your help then I don't deserve the food." His expression stilled then when he heard what Bane often did with others that might be in need. His head tilted to the side, focusing on the druid with his good eye. He recalled that Bane had warned him not to betray his trust. He hoped that went both ways. Relaxing again he let out a slow breath. The druid had to be really helping him, he'd already wasted a decent amount of time... and besides, Magnus was feeling better, not weaker or worse. For just a moment the reaper's confident mask dropped and there was a brief flash of the calm, kind man beneath, "Thank you, then. For not letting me rot, or tricking me." The mask went right back up as he flashed that cocky grin of his, gaze lowering to the stitches, "Heh, this scar will match the others. What kind of food do you have?" The change of topic seemed abrupt but again, Magnus wanted to keep distracting himself until the first aid was complete.

"Probably not." Bane replied bluntly with a cocky grin. "Wolves are out tonight not the good ones either you would not have made it back to the cities of villages. " Bane shook his head a bit. "If you were any sort of good reaper you would know the basic combat rule never underestimate your opponent honestly." Bane lifted his hands for a moment blinking as he felt the skin get hot. There was no reason for him to be getting a fever with the treatment he had been giving him. "I will assume your magic is heat based otherwise I will be pissed with myself for letting you get a fever during the treatment." Bane blinked seeing that face he had to stop what he was doing for a moment. He never got looks like that not that he blamed people he never gave them a reason too. "You're......welcome....." Bane said staring at Magnus for a moment before getting back to work. With a few more stitches he would be done. "I've got scars on top of scars at this point." Bane said with a laugh motioning to scars that were crossing each other and were from different fights. Bane sighed a bit at the food question he wasn't showing it but he was recovering from a broken left wrist which while wasn't needed to stitch it was needed for a bow and arrow which is how he hunted. "I'm down to a few bits of jerked deer and one jerked fish. Have plenty of fruit and veggies though....just " Mumbles a bit. "Haven't been able to hunt......" He didn't want to admit he was injured but he was sure that would be the next question.

Magnus scowled faintly, "I'm a damn good reaper, but I guess I was just off my game. Sometimes it's good to get thrashed now and again... keeps you on your toes. No matter how good you might think you are, you can always make mistakes. I'll learn from this, that's what matters." His scowl turned to a slightly embarrassed grin then, "Er, yes. No fever, just some magic stirring about." Magnus was ready to jump out of his skin by the time the stitching was done. Thankfully Bane was talkative, that had helped, but it had still hurt like a b***h. Sitting up a bit straighter then he tilted his head, "Sounds like you're running low... odd considering your environment but..." He trailed off and paused, looking Bane over. He hadn't seemed to be in any sort of rough shape, but that didn't mean something wasn't still wrong, "Tell you what... you don't have to tell me why you haven't been able to hunt if you don't feel like it but... you helped me, mind if I return the favor?" He smiled faintly, "We could have a lighter supper and tomorrow I'll be feeling much better, I could do some quick huntin' and help get some protein back in your diet. If, that is, you don't mind me stickin' around until tomorrow." He flashed a grin, not entirely sure if the druid would accept the offer or not, but it was worth a shot! Magnus liked to pay back others for their help, not only did he feel obligated, but the druid was certainly curious. Oddly enough he felt a sort of kinship towards him. True he had no reason to, but something about Bane just seemed familiar.

"Calm yourself I only mean dont forget your basic rules or it will get you in the end." Why was Bane talking with this guy like this. Maybe he was just a little lonely tonight or something. "Just want to make sure that you weren't having a bad reaction to something." Bane eyed the man as he commented on it being odd that Bane was low on food. As he put some stuff away he rubbed his left wrist without thinking about it. It was stiff and sore there was no way for him to hold a bow properly. He had tried with the poison darts but they were enough for the deer around here and he could only use so much poison or the meat would not taste right. Bane then worked on cover the stitches with Bandages that were not of cloth but a dried plant that was soft and fuzzy. Its shape was its name lamb's ear, a clever little plant that protected from infection while it helped to heal. He looked back at Magnus as he made his proposal. He wasn't sure what to think, he was barley used to short meetings with people. Keiskei was the only one he could stand for more then a few hours. Though so far this one had not managed to piss him off. He would surely be out of meat after tonight and that didn't bode well. He needed to stay on his toes or someone would surely catch him and kill him for his sins. It really was the best option to accept the others offer. "Alright.....I think its the best option for us both." Bane said while putting all the stuff back in his box and closing it shut. "Can you walk? This is not somewhere we want to sleep in. I rather sleep where I completely trust the plants around me." Bane had no home or real best to offer. As a child who was being trained to be a shaman he never was taught how to make dwellings. He had tried a few times on his own but quickly decided the energy used was better put into climbing a tree and wrapping himself in vines or looking for a cave when the weather was to get nasty.

Magnus' gaze followed Bane's movements, wondering if there was, in fact, anything wrong with him. He had a keen eye to spot weakness, and the way the man held his left wrist, subconsciously tending to it... Magnus had a feeling that was the issue. He didn't say anything though, there was no reason to. After all, Bane had just agreed to his suggestion which prompted a grin from the reaper. It would be nice not to need to worry about finding a safe spot or getting back to the city... or needing to outrun wolves. Once he was "bandaged", Magnus reached over to grab his torn leather top and jacket. His movements were stiff, but better than they had been. He winced when he pulled his clothes back on, the movement stretching the stitches a bit... not enough to break them of course, but a reminder not to be too quick with his movements. He looked over at Bane then, hesitated, then nodded... and his face tightened with concentration as he slowly got to his feet. For a moment he looked off balance, his eyes shut as he wobbled briefly, regaining his balance. He had to admit to himself, he felt a bit nauseous. Rubbing the back of his neck and rolling his shoulders back to ease the tension from his muscles, he moved to stand beside the druid, "I can walk, just don't make me climb anything." Smiling faintly he decided a little help was in order. Flicking his wrist, his scythe appeared... and as menacing as the weapon looked, it also made an excellent walking stick. Magnus was able to keep his balance and move a bit faster with its' help as he followed Bane. He grew quiet then, obviously concentrating on where they were going. He'd want to find his way back if he needed to, though it would be more difficult now that it was growing dark.

Bane threw the strap of the medicine bag over his shoulder careful not to mess with his left hand. His wrist indeed being the problem right now not that he would ever admit even if Magnus pointed it out. The druid watched Magnus move curiously knowing the stitches must be pulling a bit with the way he was moving. He found himself more curious about the other specially sense this was the most time he will have spent with a non druid. He watched as Magnus seemed to be unbalanced there was no way Bane was going to help him walk. He needed to do that on his own, Bane had helped him enough already. Bane's eyes clearly showed that he still did not trust the other as he came closer. Injured or not Bane knew animals could still bite so what made humanoids any different. Seeing the reaper produce the scythe to use as walking stick Bane started on the his way. The forest only seemed to get darker as they moved forwards. As they moved it seemed Bane wasn't lying about the wolves about the only thing keeping them safe right now is Bane's ability to communicate with them. He let off a low menacing growl telling them they were more fight then they had meat on their bones. Even still this particular pack of wolves were more desperate their area being poor compared to other packs meaning they were more prone to attacking anything that moved. They kept moving and finally seemed to come to a place where the wolves stopped following them. Bane gave off a sigh of relief normally he would have gone up a tree but he wanted the meat Magnus was going to hunt for so he had stayed ground level with him. It was a while more before Bane slowed his pace as he entered an area that seemed to have some strange looking flowers. "What ever you do dont bump the yellow flowers they will kill you instantly in the state you are in." Bane said calmly making his way to a small rock wall and pushing something till he revealed a hole. "Its bigger once we're inside. I use it for bad storms and such. " Bane said before disappearing into the hole. Once inside there was glow moss lighting the little cave just enough so one could see. There was a small tunnel that opened up into a bigger area that had furs laid out in a pile and a few clay jars. "I swear to every tree you tell anyone about this place and I will find you and poison you with the most painful stuff I have." Bane growled before grabbing the clay jars and sitting on the furs.

Magnus followed, sometimes ending up a step or two behind before forcing himself to catch up again. His eyes narrowed a bit when the wolves appeared, his shoulders hunching up and his body tense expecting an attack, but an animal-like snarl from Bane made the creatures back off just enough. They were still close, their eyes glinting from the forest, but whatever Bane had "said" seemed to have done the trick. Tilting his head to the side, he still kept a wary eye on the creatures until they neared the hidey hole. That was when the animals finally backed off, likely scared away by the plants Bane warned him of. For a moment he paused and eyed the flowers curiously... he wondered what they were, they certainly weren't familiar. Sure, he wasn't an expert, but he had a fairly decent knowledge of most plants. Magnus let his scythe vanish again then, watching Bane vanish into the hole, "Huh, here goes nothin'. Let's hope I didn't just make my way to a bad den," he grumbled to himself before crouching and heading in. He turned around, blinking as he heard a grinding sound as whatever Bane had pushed open rolled back into place once they were inside. His eyes were adjusting to the darkness, and had to adjust all over again at the light provided by the moss. His good eye took it all in, but the fake glass eye glinted unnaturally in the light, giving itself away. He immediately made his way over to one of the furs, sitting down with a heavy sigh and flopping down on his back. Furs on a cave floor had never felt so good! He sat up a bit at Bane's warning, and briefly he smiled, "Don't worry, I can keep a secret. No one will know about this place. You have my word." Shrugging off his coat he set it down at his side and then cast a sidelong glance at the clay jars. Were those what he thought they might be? His stomach gave a sudden loud rumble and Magnus placed a hand over it, scowling faintly.

The yellow flowers were a creation of Bane's bumping into them released a deadly cloud of pollen into the air. Some it didn't bother, some it made sick, many others he had seen it cool from animal to human. He was quite proud of it and it was something he used as self defense if he got half the chance. Bane raised a curious eye brow when he saw the strange glint in Magnus's eye. "You have a fake eye?" Bane said ever so tactfully. Well he wasn't one for social graces that was already clear so why wouldn't he bluntly ask about the eye. He watched him closely seeming a little on edge. He had never brought anyone here before and certainly didn't know how he felt about the other sitting on the closest thing he had to a bed. "Or me....."Bane added to that statement. "I have people looking for me for one or two reasons. I rather them not know Im still alive if I can help it." Bane popped open one of the jars and the smell of dried meat, fruit, and then veggies filled the little cave as he opened each one. He divided what little meat there was but set the veggies and the fruit just in their jars. He had plenty of those things it was only the meat he was having issues with. Bane ate quietly clearly not used to eating with someone else or even being around someone this long. Once the meat was gone he took off his monk's hood and undid his arm covers so he was topless not that he had much on before but now how deep and how many scars Bane have was more apparent. They ran from his neck and seems to cover every part of his body even going down where he was still covered. It seems he may have been in a great deal of fights for a druid.

Magnus smirked faintly, lifting a hand to tap a nail against the fake eye. It made a hard clicking noise as a result, essentially confirming the fake eye. He pushed his hair on that side of his face aside then, showing the long claw like scars that went across that part of his face, as well as over his eye, "Got in a scrap when I was younger and still learning. The eye was ruined after, unfortunately. It's a bit of a handicap, but I've learned to make do." He tilted his head curiously then, "Folks are after you, eh? Hm..." He seemed thoughtful for a moment. He wanted to ask why, but decided he was better off not knowing unless the druid wanted to talk about it. Magnus was really a good sort around those with secrets. Considering he had his own serious ones, he was rarely the sort to pry. Instead he just nodded, "If anyone hears about you or this place, it won't be from me. You've got no reason to trust me to keep my word, but I assure you, I do." It took him effort to stand up again, placing one hand on the stitched area on his chest and wincing as he got to his feet. He moved closer to Bane, and the food, and sat down across from him. He gathered up the meat, gnawing away on it while he peeked in the jars with the fruits and vegetables. He was familiar with dried fruit, but he was picky, and it was obvious as he took out the fruit, piece by piece, nabbing the ones he remembered as his favorites. The vegetables he was even worse with, mostly just some carrot and he tried a few root-like vegetables, but it was clear he favored the fruit and the meat that he was savoring. Despite being a picky eater, he didn't complain or make any negative comments. The only look he gave was disappointment when he finished the meat. It had only been a few pieces, but it was clearly gone. He sighed softly, nibbling on the fruit before he let his gaze shift back to Bane, curiously, as he took his top off. He blinked a few times, tilted his head, and then gave a low whistle, "Dunno why you're worried about anyone finding you, doesn't look like you're killable, judging by all those." It was obviously intended as a compliment, considering Magnus' grin. Scars meant you lived through the fight, it also meant that either you knew how to take care of yourself, or you had some good friends to help you. Magnus figured in Bane's case, he knew how to take care of himself. Finishing up the portions of dried fruits and veggies he'd grabbed, he leaned over to take more fruit and then leaned back. Propped up on his elbows, he watched Bane curiously, "Are you the only druid in this area? The one that raised me... he wandered a lot too. We never came across many others, maybe one now and again, but they seemed to sense each other and made a point of steering clear if they could help it."

"Interesting" Bane comment looking as though he wanted to poke it too. Being a druid a path would really be his only option is something like that occurred then again his eye would need to be shredded cause last time it got clawed he healed it. "Came close to that myself once but my healing abilities saved me then" He said pointing to a scar that was over his eye. "Yeah for multiple reason trouble causing mostly." Bane said with a smirk before eating a root looking veggie. "For now I have not much choice but to trust you Im not about to kill something I just took time to mend after all." Bane said with a laugh but it was true. "You shouldn't move to much for the rest of the night really." Bane commented before nursing his last piece of the meat share. What an embarrassing thing for a druid not to have food they always had food. Of course some were vegan and had no reason to hunt but still Bane liked meat a lot. "I guess I have to share my bed with you tonight to." Bane grumbled he only had one pile of furs but he supposed the extra warmth from Magnus couldn't be a bad thing. Besides that Magnus was a rather attractive person to have to share a bed with so it wasn't all bad. Bane laughed a bit fingering his scars absentmindedly "Doesn't stop people or animals from trying." Bane sighed a bit figuring it was ok to talk to this guy a bit. "I've been fighting to live since I was young, got banned from my enclave before I was a teen. Living in the wild alone is not a walk in the park. There was many a night I thought I was dead or would not be around to see the sun rise." "Yes and if other druids are about I tend to avoid them if possible. I rarely make contact with others unless Im bored. Which in your case you are lucky I was bored and feeling a little lonely for once." Bane said laying back to get more comfortable. "I don't really have a set home though. This is the closest to one I suppose. Mostly used during a storm or if I hurt myself......" Crap he just admitted to being hurt oh well it was no matter at this point. "I broke my left wrist and that's why I can hunt. The deer around here are to smart for my traps and to fast for my dart gun. Only bow and arrow seem to work and I can hold the bow right.." Bane admitted rubbing his wrist again.

Magnus listened as he ate, now and then sitting back up to pick more pieces of fruit before eventually he got tired of them. He still had a few small berries that he popped into his mouth now and again, examining Bane thoughtfully after the things he said. A loner, outcast, but tough from having made it on his own... Magnus felt himself smile a bit. He knew the feeling, to a certain extent, though his isolation was greatly self imposed. He couldn't ever have anyone get too close and learn his secrets. His gaze then wandered to the druid's wrist. He nodded slowly, "It makes a bit more sense then, why you don't have much food available. Well, come tomorrow there will be more meat for you, hopefully enough to get you through until you're healed. It's the least I can do." Stretching a bit he pulled off his boots, setting them off to the side with his coat and his shredded shirt. While taking off his shirt, however, he blinked and glanced back over at Bane when it came to the sharing a bed comment. For a moment his expression was blank, and then a smirk quirked his lips. He didn't say anything though, instead he stood up and looked around, spotting an open container. Moving over he peeked at it, spying water inside. He looked back at Bane and piped up, "Is this safe water, or something experimental and poisonous?" If safe, he proceeded to scoop some in his hands, scrubbing his face with it and slicking his hair back. It always felt good to get his hair out of the way. After all, he only hid the maimed side of his face to avoid stares in public. He didn't want to attract much attention. Still moving a bit stiffly, he walked back to the furs and sat down next to Bane again. He paused, then smiled, "I'm glad you were bored or lonely, or maybe even both. Dying really doesn't fit into my plans all that well."
