"Well I had to convince Devith that she would make a good addition to his 'court' in order to keep her." Hekate whispered to Dizzian grinning playfully even as a little tiny chirrup came from her tunic at the green hearing her name.

What? What? Was it something important? The hatchling seemed to question as she stuck her head out for a second, glanced sleepily around then determined nope and went back to sleep.

I heard that Mine. Devith crooned eyes whirling with amusement though both of them knew she would have eventually talked him around. His pride simply needed a decent excuse to allow the flit to take up residence in their little family. Besides she would make a wonderful set of eyes for him when he could not attend to his rider.

"Well she will." Hekate assured Devith dropping her hand to lovingly stroke her fingers over his eyeridges drawing a sleepy thrumming purr from the little silver.

Turning her attention back to Dizzian she waited until the other rider confirmed that the second pot was safe to use. A small smile taking up residence on the woman's lips at Dizzian's offer the share. "Thank you, but no thank you Dizzian. You've got you and your own to tend to and you and I both know Devith will put a pretty good c***k in your stock. Still I'm touched by the offer and if there's an emergency I might take you up on it." She replied tucking the pot under one arm and considering Dizzian's suggestion to speak with the Weyrlingmaster.

In all truth though she'd probably wait. The problem for now had been solved and she hadn't spent much time with the Werylingmaster in question so she had little scope of his opinions on her and Devith. It would be a little time before she determined if she could trust him.

Control him, manipulate him, or coerce yes, trust. . .well trust wasn't so easily given. Besides Hekate had little wish to appear incompetent. She was a perfectly intelligent young woman despite her former social standing and she liked to, for all outward appearances, appear perfect. After all she was more then capable enough of protecting herself, Devith and even the whole sharding Weyr if she felt like it.

Sometimes sacrifices mustbe made to attain perfection. Such oil is a fit offering for a King. Devith replied slowly and gracefully rising to his feet and leaning sleepily into his rider's legs. Glancing up with shimmering blue green eyes he eyed the pot of oil with pleased anticipation. My hide must shine after all. He added as if such knowledge was common fact.

Chuckling low Hekate nodded. "As if you're not glorious enough." She complimented making Devith preen under her attention before turning to the offered clothes. It was tempting, very tempting. While she'd gotten the oil off of her companions she could still feel the slick substance clinging to her clothes and making the fabric stick to her skin like a wet leech.

You're current attire hardly does you any justice Mine in it's current state. While not a permanent fix, I deem these outfits to suit our ends. Devith replied eyeing the clothes in the trunk critically before giving reluctant nod. While they were hardly, he felt, worthy of his they would have to do. He simply would not tolerate her walking around in anything that did not show off the pairs glory.

Finally vanity won out, after all she couldn't be seen wandering the halls looking a mess like she currently did. "If you're quite sure it's ok~" Hekate replied trailing off her frown turning into an amused grin as she spotted Courath with her nose tucked under her tailtip. A sight that had Devith staring enviously though he made it a point to straighten his own back a little, sit proudly and wrap his own tail about his feet looking almost like a little dusky marble carved statue rather then a living breathing dragon. Only the rich color of his eyes giving him away.

Dizzian laughed. "Oh that's adorable! His court huh? Well, just know the offer's there. I don't mind helping you out. You kinda came to this at a disadvantage to the rest of us. I've been through turns of lessons. I could probably recite them in my sleep!" She rolled her eyes and plopped herself on the bed. Dizzian ignored the little comments that were obviously directed at Devith. She could feel Courath's sleepy but awake presence in her mind. It was strange to feel that separate consciousness as part of her own mind. Especially after imagining what it'd be like for so long. Once she and Courath got a moment to themselves they'd have to explore it further. Dizzian didn't want to risk a weak bond with hers. All those lessons may have done more harm than good in warning the girl of all the pitfalls she could come across after Impression.

She waved a negligent hand at Hekate. "Of Course! You're welcome to borrow anything in there!" She was kinda excited that Hekate had accepted her offer, Dizzian loved clothes and playing dress up, even if she usually ended up in the same thing everyday. She had a store of random 'dressy' or unique articles. She just always wanted to wait for an occasion to wear them. If Hekate found thing's she'd liked...Dizzian would love to have someone to swap with.

She hadn't broached the subject with Syn yet but maybe she'd be able to get other girls in on it too!

"I'd say they're a scant lot better then scrubbing pots all day and night." Hekate joked meeting Dizzian's eyeroll with a chuckle and a catlike grin. "Sides I may not know dragons, but I can learn. I'm a touch a harper of all trades." She added glancing down at the clothes in the trunk her brows lifting slightly with surprise. Indeed Dizzian did have quite a nice little collection much to Hekate's surprise and pleasure as she reached in to pull out a rich amber colored tunic just a shade lighter then her own amber gold eyes.

"My word where did you find all this?" Hekate questioned quickly stripping off her own tunic which sent Lady scurrying from her sleeping spot chittering and scolding as she hovered waiting till Her's had put on the new tunic before settling on the girls shoulder ruffling her wings and doing her best to preen to make up for her embaressment.

Amateur. Devith commented for all to hear though his rumbling voice was rich with amusement as he eyed the little green. It was clear Lady was rather well named.

"Oooo Nice" Dizzian liked her choice. She'd forgotten that tunic was in there. She usually preferred cool colors to warm. Yellows and oranges didn't look good on her with her red cheeks. The tunic suited Hekate well though. She might just let her keep it. "I didn't find it, most of it was made for me or by me. My mother's a weaver and that's what I was training for while I waiting to Impress Courath. She made most of the tunics, and the pants and dresses. I mainly crochet. The shawls and belts are all my make. Same with most of these pillows and blankets. I also braided those rugs on the floor there."

Dizzian was proud of her craft, even if it hadn't exactly been her choice nor her dream in life. And while the clothing was made to fit a curvier girl, it draped nicely on Hekate's slimmer frame. Dizzian giggled, it appeared Devith at least approved.

In fact it did drape nicely. The looser parts of the tunic shifting with each breath or movement like a field of wheat in the wind teasing at the shape of Hekate's slimmer curves giving her a more svelte feline like figure. For a while Devith simply stared his eyes a rich green and blue as he admired his lifemate. The tunic indeed suited His nicely, but in Devith's mind no outfit would ever be good enough for His.

Because they all paled in comparison to her.

Sensing Devith's thoughts Hekate gave a little spin pausing and letting the ends of the tunic float down around her to give her dragon a small knowing and almost shy smile.

BeautifulMine. Devith purred low in her mind his tone tender before the moment passed. We should see if my sister's rider will provide more of the like. He added giving the things Dizzian pointed at an apprising glance.

"While I think I'd prefer to have you in a Wing with me and know Courath would, you'd have made an excellent weaver." Hekate complimented admiring the other girl's handiwork. "I wish I was half as good with a needle and thread. Sadly~" And Hekate sighed though it was touched with humor as she grinned at Dizzian and gave a comical shrug. "My fashion expertise lies more in the wearing and finding of such things." She joked lifting a hand to pat Lady's head soothing the young firelizard where she sat on Hekate's shoulder.

"I'd better get these two back to our weyr. I'll swing by in the morning and return the tunic." Hekate added bending to scoop up Devith who let out a rumble of complaint. Had he not been so tired he likely would have swore up and down and even then his tail still lashed and eyes whirled.

It was very hard to look refined when one was being carried off by their own rider.
