"HAH!" She howled out, her face also plastered with the look of anticipating battle. Defenders they might be, but they were more brute force than anything else. They had the tree huggers and the sneaky bastards, but they NEEDED someone like the Defenders. They needed the ******** bullies.
Taking Reds attack as an invitation, the phoenix was right behind her. If the werewolf was willing to fight with the cloaked one, why the hell not? She was itching to fight anyways. Spreading her wings Pyre took to the skies, swooping in to deliver a close range attack. NOT as impressive as the werewolves, but it would do.

When he'd seen the defenders heading for the cavern, Tex had broken into a run, chasing after them to try and keep them from going in. That jewelry was cursed, he was sure, and even if he didn't always agree with the defenders, they were still his classmates--people he'd been through thick and thin with.
"Guys, you shouldn't be--" Then he stopped, seeing the glowing weapon and the cloaked man. Was he a reaper? Why was a reaper here? Did it have something to do with that stone he'd taken to Quibble?

Radoch gave his leader quite the wry grin, marveling at her excellent attack. This is why Red was their leader - she was amazing. Powerful, beautiful, witty, and a great fighter overall. He was sure that if she were in all the fighting tournaments he had been in, the Musimon would have ended up with the silver every time.
He followed up Pyre's attack, launching himself forward with a bellowing bleat and ramming his horns into the cloaked figure's side. Not as effective as Red's but a good attack nonetheless. He backed off, taking his place near Cricket.
"Pyre! Care to keep providing arial support?"

Did Dabir want to be told ‘I told you so!’ by a goodie goodie DETH? No, not really. He only wanted to snag a few more pieces of treasure, was that so bad? He stood near the back of the crowd, his tail flicking impatiently as he managed to get bits of the conversation. Briefly, he poked his head above the crowd to catch a glance of the hooded figure. Yup, definitely looked like a reaper.
Dabir flinched when an arc of blue cut through the ceiling and rocks began to crumble, piling up to block the only known exit out of the tunnels. He blankly stared at the blockaded path. Well. They were screwed. He saw a few of the students strike out at the reaper, but Dabir crossed his arms and held back. As if he was going to join a fight started by the Defenders.

Moira had arrived in time to hear the cloaked figure's first speech, and Red's response - a response which, quite frankly, surprised her. If this person was the guardian of the weird place they'd found, then wasn't it right to return whatever it is? "Wait, wait, if whoever took this thing gives it back, then nobody would be in dan-aaaaaah!!" The zombie yelped as Red launched herself at the cloaked figure.
Oh no, oh no, oh noooooooooooo. Moira seemed frozen with indecision - should she attack too, since Red had? Or should she hold back?

Sin cringed as they attacked the figure. Stupid stupid stupid.

He tried to discreetly get behind anyone nearby.

Of course the whole damn school had shown up at the cave entrance, nosy busybodies, wusses, and all. Still, Faysal figured that if everyone else was too busy whining about morals and s**t, he had a fair chance of slipping away unseen, getting what he wanted, and getting out. The presence of a cloaked and well-armed figure didn't really bother him at all. If this guy wanted something back, he should've done a better job of keeping it in the first place.
So, new plan: sit back, enjoy watching Red and her gang get the snot beaten out of them, and then go take whatever he wanted. He saw no way this could fail.

Arcana whined the whole time Tarot dragged him down to the cave. His voice cut off when he saw the hooded figure though and caused him to stare wide eyed.
There was no way he was going fight another Reaper over something he didn't no about!
He could only hope others saw that attacking wasn't the way to go.
"Hey....but...you guys shouldn't attack him okay? We need to talk it over..." He hid behind Tarot as he said it though.

May stood a little bit behind Tex, and merely watched the hooded figure. She wasn't about to get all snippity and rude like the defenders over there. After all, maybe he just wanted to talk! Maybe he was lost! Yes lost. That must've been it.
As soon as the figure's scythe was in the air, May's hands immediately clung to Tex's arms. This person was not lost. Nope, definitely not. It wasn't his fault though! Red was totally asking for a fight, which wasn't cool.
"Guys! Stop! Noooo fighting! Please can't we just talk this over?" she shouted. Awww s**t this was really really bad. WHY COULDN'T EVERYONE LOVE EACH OTHER?

Tarot shouldn’t have followed everyone. She really shouldn’t have. The professor had specifically told them not to enter the cave, but he had also told them to make sure no one entered it as well. She was in the cave, but the reaper ghoul was determined to convince everyone to leave as soon as possible and to not take any more treasure. That…had ended well. Her lips pressed together when the reaper struck the ceiling, causing the path to be blocked. Tarot walked over to the path and attempted to remove some rubble, but removing all of it would take forever.
Oh Jack. Red had gone and hit the reaper. Tarot frowned and it deepened when she saw a couple others follow suit. She searched for her brother and grasped his hand tightly, even when he hid behind her. “We have to tell Professor Quibble. Do you know if our phones work down here?” she murmured.

As with Quin, Vel had followed Red into the cavern up until they were stopped by the mysterious cloaked figure who claimed this was their place. They took something from him? Well technically a lot of things were taken from the cave.
The raptor waited. She could just taste the fight coming up. But like the Musimon said, it was Red's privilege to strike first.
"Alright. Let's get wild," she grinned, watching their fearless leader go right for the one in their way. Once the werewolf made her move, the raptor let out a shriek, then charged in for a follow up attack along with a few others.

With their leader on the move Quin wasn't far behind. She grinned turning to Vel. "Yes, let's."
Without further hesitation Quin leaped into the fray and threw in her own two cents with her fist. Where ever Red went she was likely to follow. She followed the ghoul because of her tenacity even if that lead her into a fight. More like...especially if that lead her into a fight. The vampire always enjoyed a good brawl.
