"What I've learned from my many travels is that if you believe in yourself and try you hardest, you can do anything, even cook." he replied as he then chopped up some onions, peppers, and poured some milk in the bowl.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ As he poured his mixture into an skillet and began making the omelets, Soji would smile, "No I don't mind." he replied as he seasoned the omelet and then flipped it, "Well, before I came here, I was traveling around the world, visiting many different countries and cities. I believe that it was during my travels that I became the man I am now. Even so, I still can't face the demons of my past." he said as he flipped the omelet again.

Though seeing the world doesn't sound all that bad.." she said as she trailed off, busying herself with mixing. Monica would give him a smile at his suggestion of seeing the world, though she knew bitterly that it would probably never be. For her sake and others, she would stay in Death City. Soji's question tore her out of her dark thoughts abruptly, "I'm a Meister too, though I'm Partnerless as of now," she answered as she poured batter into the iron, sending steam rolling into the kitchen. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Soji would sigh and finish preparing the omelets, "Yeah, me too. Seems like nowadays there are fewer and fewer weapons that are around my age. Makes me seem old, even though I'm just in my mid-twenties." Soji said as he prepared the omelets and set them at table, "Do you have any other family members that live here, or is it just you?" he asked as he poured some milk into a cup and sat it where the cat could get some.

Monica would laugh a little at Soji's play on his age as she flipped out the first waffle and pouring in the next. "Just me. My 'family' is probably back in France," she would say with a slight tone of spite. Her voice lightened immediately, "But I have all I need at EWMA, so there's nothing to scoff at really." Soji said as he looked at Kid, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Kid, I've heard a lot of stories about you.

It was as if she reminded him of someone he loved a long time ago. "I guess I will stay out of this little thing." Soji said as he sat down at the table and began eating.

He remembered all too well that one-sided conversation... too many curses to count. He offered a weak smile, "I came asking for your assistance, nothing else." She would scoff, "Yeah that's all I'm worth to you and your Father." Kid would reel further back, "That is not true. Death City's own protection is dependent on you, Blanche. This is serious." "Yeah, I bet," she barked at him, lowering the pan, "What do ya what?" Kid cleared his throat, his authority coming back, "We have detained a Witch and we are keeping her here in Death City until further notice. We need you to keep a very close eye on her and any source of wavelength that might come from her." Monica frowned, she hated this kind of work, "Got anything of hers to trace?" Kid handed her a stuffed rabbit, eerily similar to himself. She would stare distastefully at him before taking it, reading the faint slivers of wavelength and throwing it back, "There." Kid would catch the rabbit and gave a small smile, "Thank you, Blanche. This task is really important." She only slammed the door in his face. Yeah, typical of her.
