For Zanko to attack, he had to sacrifice a limb...it was an interesting tactic, and one that proved fruitful. Although the beast brought its foreleg down on Zanko and broke the bones in it, Zanko had impaled it and gave it cause to back off momentarily. It stared at him with scorn before leaping in to the lava and leaving Zanko to himself for a moment. Zanko's scythe fell from its sole as it leapt, but the monster almost certainly wasn't done yet. Now wasn't the time to get complacent.

Zanko was struggling to ignore the pain as he got to his feet, unsheathing his longsword as his left arm hung at his side.

Zanko's worries weren't where the beast was then. Several areas on the ground being to burn red hot before spouts of lava broke through them. One of those areas being where Zanko was standing. There was nothing for it but to retreat, as the lava spouts weren't things Zanko could attack. Even running would be difficult because of the rain of lava pouring from the sky. Leon seemed to be proceeding well in fighting his brother, but Zanko would have to continue to distract the beast until Leon had finished.

Zanko dodged the first lava spout and proceeded to maneuver away from it as he turned to dodge the rain and more spout. He kept on the move, his feet burning on fire now as he stayed on the hot area for too long.

Try as he might to retreat, the only thing Zanko could outpace was the lava flow. The beast actually swam underneath him, and as he ran for cover, it raised its back through the ground, planning to once again impale Zanko on all of the spikes decorating its back. At the very least it would throw him off as that portion of the ground gave way to more lava. The beast would then dive back beneath the surface, tracking Zanko through invisible means. There was no time to stand still and wait for it.

Zanko kept moving and running away from it, he was on the full rock surface now, surrounded by Lava as he kept his sword ready. The way it was, kinda made it like he was floating on a board.

The beast thrashed about, throwing lava everywhere and sending Zanko's obsidian board floating down the lava stream. At the same time, Zanko would hear the sound of blood being spilled as Leon impaled his brother through the stomach and forced him to stop. Leon nodded at Zanko, having finished his part of the battle. At the same time, the monster looked away in surprise, focusing all of its hate on Leon, but giving Zanko a much needed chance to deal a blow that'd send it fleeing.

Zanko was sent floating down a lava stream, but using it to his advantage, he rode it like a surfboard and had it turn around as he moved towards the beast. As the beast turned it's attention to Leon, Zanko crouched down, heating up his dull-edged longsword to give it a refined form for the time being, while being insanely hot. He soon jumped from where he was towards the beast and onto solid land, getting beside Leon as the beast came at him. The next moment, he decided to use a longsword technique, slashing his sword up and spraying hot shards of molten metal at the beast. The blade's heat was getting a bit too intense for Zanko to handle as he used the rest of the blade as the beast came down from the pounce to try and cut through the monster and leave his melting blade inside of it's body. Lava and a molten blade were two different things, but both just as dangerous.

The beast's ear-shattering roared echoed throughout the cavern as it backed away from Zanko. It was far from dead, but it was also unwilling to continue this bout. It sunk back in to the lava, its gaze never leaving Zanko. Soon the volatile lava flow stopped as the beast returned to its slumber. Leon shrugged as he looked at Zanko, grateful for the assistance. As far as Zanko's mission went, he defeated the one who claimed they could fight anybody. It was a mission complete as far as that went.

Zanko was panting heavily, but smiled as he raised his hands and soon shook Leon's hand before getting onto his Dinosaur as they departed quickly.
