Ofelia's eye twitched, but she continued to keep the grin on her face even as Rep's name was mentioned. To prevent herself from freaking out or showing any signs of distress she started to clean everything up, moving dishes into the sink and turning on the tap. "Hmm, he can bring whomever? Maybe the more the merrier, right? We made lots'a stuff ta eat an' food is always best shared wit' everyone."
The water was hot and it burned at her hands. The pain was ignored though as she started to wash, totally ignoring the dishwasher that loomed no further away than a foot. Washing things by hand always calmed her down, plus back home she didn't have a dishwasher and it had to be done by hand anyway. "Do ya have someone personally ya wanna invite? Some...special lady, perhaps?" There was a teasing tone in her voice, or maybe there wasn't. It was hard to tell.

"I told Harrison it's best to bring two people so one can play tie breaker." Before shrugged again and brought his cellphone out to quickly alert Harrison that judging would begin in half an hour. Once he pocketed his phone, he moved to join Ofelia in cleaning up. Before will insist it's to promote camaraderie and not because he never figured out how to use the damn dishwasher exactly. He did, however, yelp at the water's temperature, and offered to dry while she washed /)> 3>/)
At the suggestion of having a "special lady", Before turned to face the Sunny. "Oh no, don't you be like Bix," >n< Before squeaked, "Story is just a friend! She's my best female friend and that's. "Eeeh, so there is someone~ Special doesn' have ta mean love yanno." Ofelia felt....weird for a moment there, like something stung, but she plowed on anyway. "Yer welcome ta invite her in fer it when we're all done, cause Ah serisouly doubt five people are gonna be able ta eat everythin' we made. Ah saw whatcha put in yer ovens an' Ah know ya got a glance at mine. This'll take an army."
Ofelia reached over and patted Before on the head, her hand soapy but extremely hot. It would be impossible to hide the temperature level of the water now, but whatever. She went back to washing and stacking, looking for a towel to use in the drying half in the meanwhile.
"But man, we could call Bix too, an' Ah'm sure he'll bring Molly. They're a couple, right?"

Before canted his head, "Welllll, when you put it that way, that would make you a special lady friend too, wouldn't it? You're the only girl who's baked with me before. And we've done it twice! Well, almost twice. We had some performance anxiety during the first." Was that innuendo? Or was Before just trying to tease Ofelia? OwO
Vanna believed it's the latter.
"We can call 'em after judging? Too many cooks spoil the broth and stuff, so too many judges might lead to dissent and worse a food fight." Before shuddered at the thought of wasting all that food they made ;n;

. . . .a food fight sounded awesome and Ofelia's eye downright sparkled. she looked at her friend with this sudden desire to call everyone right then and there.
But she wasn't going to because Before was the only friend she had and she didn't want to lose him. That...sounded so disgusting in her head that she would never, never think it again. "Well, if ya say so, an' Ah'm glad ta know someone thinks Ah'm worthwhile." She wink-blinked. "Ah happen ta think yer pretty amazin' in yer own right."
When were the judges going to arrive? She was feeling entirely too happy, she needed her soul crushed.

Harrison arrived with Rep in tow.
Although he had promised to be a tough but fair judge, and had every intention of taking it extremely mock-seriously, the truth was he had the palette of a guy raised on TV dinners.
He sent out a few texts that probably should have been spent creating a fair jury of his peers, but instead just reflected his most basic feelings on the situation.

Ofelia turned just in time to see Harrison and Rep come in, and her eye twitched for half a second before a grin plastered itself on her face and she waved a soapy hand in happy greeting. Outwardly she seemed to be beaming, nothing was wrong, but on the inside she was screaming.
"Y'all are a bit early, but ya can have'a sat an' enjoy the smells? We're not sayin' who baked what 'till the end though, fair warnin'."
A pause in thought. "Oh wait, are ya allergic ta anythin'? Crap, Clover we should'a thought'a that ahead'a time."
Screaming. Loudly. Her head was reeling from the noise.

Before nodded a greeting to Harrison, or rather the general direction of Harrison so that he didn't have to directly acknowledge Rep. The thought that someone was allergic to anything they made had not crossed Before's mind. At all. And it showed on his face. He ended up grabbing Ofelia by the upper arms, whispering in hushed panic of "Ohgodwhadowedowhadowedo?" DDDDD8 "I can go ask the Life medics to be on standby in case someone is allergic? Or do you wanna go do that while I keep them preoccupied?"

Ofelia pulled her hands out of the soapy water and placed one on each side of Before's face, her fingers moving to pinch his cheeks. She sighed, pinching an pulling alternating. "They're smart'a 'nough ta not eat s**t that'd kill 'em so puttin' someone on standby is jus' gonna brin' in more people ta feed. If sommin' happens we jus' man up an' . . uh...run away?"
She grinned at Before, turning to look at the other two males. "They're strong, yeah? We did fine."

Rep was content just to linger behind Harrison. He almost wished he was tall enough to loom menacingly. Still, he gave Ofie and Before a very lazy and very smug sort of grin and a wave that consisted of moving only his fingers.
Free cakes made by his favourite Deus doormats, not a bad way to spend a day.

Candace was cleaning her room when she received the most magical text. Free cake. That was all it took to get her to come. Free cake. Bring whoever, huh? Hmmm! Or perhaps the right amount of excitement. Either way she was there as quickly as her feet would carry her, which seemed to be getting faster since training with Atropos. "Harrison~! You are the best friend ever you know me so weeeeeell~." Candace sang as she entered the kitchen and draped her arms over his shoulders without a second thought, even giving him a kiss on the cheek before putting her head on her shoulder and finally looking around at who all was around. ...Rep, Ofelia and Before. Candace pokerfaced. "Hiiii~." She moved off Harrison. "Whoa..you guys really went nuts in here!" This was going to be the best day ever.

Ofelia's grin grew even wider as Rep waved, mostly because she was being stupid and didn't care. The wave prompted her to leave Before's side and move closer to them, crossing her arms as she approached.
"Now guys, Ah know yer both proper adults, but there are some rules in the kitchen! First of!" She pointed down to their feet. "Ya need ta be barefoot in here! Second off! The chef an'/or baker always gets a hug or kiss at the end'a meal or cookin' or whatever, as a way'a payin' or sayin' thanks. Money always works though if yer not feelin' too keen on bodily contact."
Well, those were kitchen rules for her house. "Thirdly, only fightin' is food fightin'. Ya use a fist an yer likely ta end up wit' some nasty stomach bug from karma later on."
The grin never stopped on her face. "An' finally, ya gotta make sure ta be honest 'bout what yer tastin'. Liars burn in hell ya know an' have their tongues ripped out. . . or is it lyin' only keeps bad food comin'? Man, Ah dun really remember that one." She shrugged and turned, moving back to wash the dishes. "Ah'mma wash dishes fer a bit, we got a little time left on the stuff, so if ya wanna sit or dry or sommin', be mah guest."
Her insides were screaming, but her hands were back in the sink and washing away the dishes and grime and muck. Her top teeth were already digging into her bottom lip. It was only when she heard Candane's voice that she turned again, the young woman getting a soapy wave of her own along with a really friendly grin. "Howdy Candace! Have a sit, or grab a towel an' help me dry!"

Rep glared. He glared like he hadn't in a while as Candace just draped all over what was his. When she kissed Harrison's cheek, he tensed up visibly. Now he'd ******** have Candace taste on him. Probably ******** like, lip gloss or something like that. Nope. Just ******** nope.
As she moved away he moved just a bit closer to Harrison, subtly tangling a hand in the fabric of the back of his clothing, out of view of the people in the kitchen before letting go again. His. He leaned in just close enough to his ear to state in a low whisper. "I mind." But there wasn't too much seriousness in it.
Ofie got a look. A look like she was completely insane. He wasn't sure what to say to the idea of walking barefoot in a kitchen, with cold hard tiles underfoot and whatever dropped food got onto the floor. He definitely didn't walk barefoot in his old kitchen, it was impossible to even see the floor for dropped s**t. And that was on top of a stack of other strange requests. "I like my shoes man."
