"" It seemed like those that were from Grande Ile just seemed to be drawn to each other. Nevermind that their distinctive fashion kind of stood out here in Kodo. Even Repede could tell that the clothes how partner wore were very different from the locals.
It was just as well, for Yuri was hiding his distaste on purpose. With the exception of his sarcastic remarks that seemed to go right over the girl's pretty little snooty head. Her attitude brought back some rather unsavory memories, but she hadn't done anything to really get his goat just yet.
"Yeah, she looks pretty nice," although Yuri didn't seem to be in a hurry to make nice with the Umbreon. Repede seemed to be doing just fine with that part. Sera's afterthought comment on the military just drew a shrug from the man. "I was in Grande Ile's Guarde once, its not a big... What the hell?"
This was about the time the Zora decided to appear, and in the form of Repede, which drew an astonished look from both the Growlithe and the dark haired human.

Anastasia asked curiously, peering around Jacques so she could focus on Repede again when Sera had stopped petting her. She knew and loved all of Sera's friends, even if the girl hardly paid much attention to them apart from Rosie.
Neither Sera nor any of her pokemon seemed the least bit surprised by Jacques's behavior, but that was to be expected. He was glad to have surprised the new human and his pokemon, and snickered his amusement.
Seraphine huffed down at the Repede look-alike. "That's Jacques - don't mind him." Yuri seemed awfully surprised though... He probably didn't know what a Zorua was, let alone what they did. He didn't look like he had enough money to have access to a computer or a pokedex, so she folded her arms over her chest again. "He's a Zorua, a dark-type. He can copy other pokemon. He can copy people too, but when he does he keeps his tail so it's really obvious. Something about the special ability Zorua have... Illusion, I think it is."
Anastasia suddenly gave Jacques a smack on his nose and with a yelp and another pop! he turned back into his usual small, white self. He didn't want to remain between the two larger pokemon, however, so he hopped over to Isabella and turned into a copy of her instead.

The puppy Pokemon bobbed his head in a nod. "" Luke in particular he knew well, since the boy had stayed at their place for a while, but his partner especially seemed to like Guy. They had gone to the tavern a couple of times, a place where Repede wasn't allowed to go.
Yuri indeed had never seen a Zorua, and was actually about to ask if it was a Ditto, but Sera beat him to the punch.
"That's kinda, creepy," Yuri stated matter-of-factly, looking unfazed at the image of a snickering Repede. Although, it did kinda unnerve him just a bit. A Pokemon that could look like people? Yeah, that was just weird.
Repede just stared at Jacques, but didn't look particularly pleased at being copied and then laughed at.

The Umbreon brightened at the mention of two names she knew - one very well, the other not quite as much. she informed Repede with a nod, as if he'd be interested to know that.
"A little bit, yeah," Sera agreed as she watched Jacques warily.
The Zorua-turned-shiny-Absol twisted his head around when he heard the word 'creepy', so he dropped his illusion with another pop and a bit of purple smoke, and high-step-walked slowly and deliberately over to Yuri. He continued this high-step-walk around him in a half-circle before stopping beside him, and with yet one more pop he was suddenly Yuri's duplicate. He even leaned his elbow on the original's shoulder and put his other hand on his cocked hip, his purple-tipped tail waving back and forth as a wide smirk split his face.

Yuri stood there and watched as the Zorua came over and circled him, as if sizing him up. The man watched with indifference, up until the point that the Pokemon changed its appearance yet again.
This time Yuri found himself staring into his own eyes, which sent a chill up his spine. He leaned away slightly as the illusion of himself leaned against him with a big cocky smirk.
"Yeah, that's not cool. Cut it out, would you?" Using a tone that portrayed he would only ask nicely once.
Repede watched this and growled a little, also displeased with the Zorua's antics.

Jacques completely ignored Yuri in favor of leaning forward - still keeping his human-elbow on the man's shoulder - to waggle his fingers and snicker at Repede tauntingly.
Sera took a step forward as she reached out with a huff, and by the time Jacques realized what she was doing it was too late. She'd grabbed him by the tail and yanked up diagonally, and with a yelp, a puff of smoke and a pop! the girl was holding a very displeased and wriggling Zorua up by his tail. "Stop that." The dark-type wiggled around some more in vain, play-growling as he did so, but he finally gave up with a huff and held still. Seraphine held him like that another moment or two before dropping him into the sand, and he bounded away to go tackle Isabella. The humans were boring now. Sera shifted her weight to one foot and folded her arms over her chest again with a sigh. "He can be really annoying sometimes." That was about as close to an apology as Yuri or Repede would get.

"Yeah I can see that," Yuri said after the show with the grabbing the Zorua by the tail. That's a trick he would have to remember if he ever encountered one of those obnoxious little fuzzballs again. Little did he know he'd already encountered one before. But yeah, that was definitely a kind of Pokemon he wouldn't want around. Especially if they all acted that way.
Taking a moment, Yuri looked over the girl's line up of Pokemon, and noticed something a bit peculiar.
"You got a theme going on here or something?" Not that he really cared all that much, it was just a stated observation. What with the color coordination and all. Lots of black and white.

"I do, actually," she noted, brightening noticeably. "I like dark- and ghost-types mostly, although I have two that aren't either of those. They're dark colored anyway though, so it's okay." Mordecai barely counted as okay. Barely. But only because he carried her stuff around for her. Luna was another story entirely - she adored the regal-looking Rapidash.
She might have asked him about a theme - gaudiness or looking like something a Meowth dragged in from the side of the street - but refrained from actually asking these things. Instead, she appeared to wait and see if he'd compliment any of her pokemon. Vanity, thy name is Seraphine.

Yeah.. that's all he had to say on that. Obviously he didn't particularly care all that much. As if his disinterested, if not bored, stare wasn't statement enough. Yeah, who cares. So the Pokemon are all fashionably matching. It was pretty clear that the man had no taste for that in the slightest, especially when looking at his clothes.
Fishing for compliments? Yuri wasn't biting.

Seraphine waited patiently (sort of) before she quickly realized Yuri wasn't about to say anything else. With a shift of her weight, the brunette reached up and replaced her oversized sunglasses where they should've been all along - over her eyes. "Alright, well, I'm gonna go back to tanning," she said off-handedly as she turned to walk the two feet back to her towel, then promptly laid down on it as gracefully as she could. "You can stick around if you want, just try not to stand in my sun, will you?" That was Sera for 'good-bye.' It appeared she was quite done with Yuri - she wasn't much for subtlety or tact, if it wasn't obvious.
Anya winced slightly at her mistress's behavior towards the man and his Growlithe, and she turned towards the latter with a small dip of her head. Something she probably shouldn't say, and if Sera knew what she had said, she would be rather annoyed at, to say the least. she added as she perked up a bit, already assuming that the human and his canine would depart. People usually did after Sera's heartfelt good-byes, anyway.

This drew a slightly raised brow from Yuri and he gave a shrug of his shoulders, not particularly caring about how quickly she brushed him off. It wasn't as if she was especially awesome to converse with anyway. He had been starting to get bored. Her level of tact, or lack there of, did gain his notice.
Repede tilted his ears as he listened to this and then smirked at Anya. ""
"Yeah whatever," Yuri said nonchalantly as she settled back into her tanning routine. He didn't have any intention to linger around her anyway. There was plenty of beach out there. The man then took his leave to enjoy said beach away from snobby rich girls, and Repede followed.
