The vendorwoman smiled and then repeated the process with the next customer. And the next and the next.... You've seen one wierd thing in the city, you've seen them all. Well not all, but most of them. Ah, but she spotted the next in line that seemed to be spacing out. "Oy! Want a flowercake, sweetheart? Just a hav'bit for one without the fixings. A bit and two for one with candied flowers and whatever fruit you'd like. " she called to Reo.
As for the boy, he stared up at the pretty azrein and held his hand out, letting her chose if she wanted him to touch her or not. And low and behold, he got nudged. Yaay! Petting the pretty pony! He smiled, gleefully. Then he realized, from the way his mother cleared her throat that he needed to introduce himself. " Oh. Um.. I'm Tobias. " The curtsy was met with an equally awkward and nervous bow. Clearly the kid didn't get out much, but what noble child would? " Nice to meet you, Miss Pyxmah. " He struggled over her name as it was an unfamiliar one, and an odd sound in his mouth. " And you Miss Blossome! " Eitherway, the boy was happily entertained with running his fingers through the floss like pink mane.
He let out a yelp as he was startled by another Azrein approaching. In a typical kid fashion, he hid behind the first one and stared at it with wide eyes, not quite sure what to do.

Reo snapped back to attention with a blush. “Ah.. two with whatever tastes good.” She held out a small handful of coins not really sure what the treats cost.
Luin took a look at the little boy and to the strange girl with the bunny ears and was intrigued. “huh. So you humanoids come in different forms huh?” She felt Reo’s indifference on the subject and was flabbergasted. When she had bonded with Reoakee it was because of the interesting reactions Reo had to things. She looked over at her bonded and realized why Reo wasn’t interested in a bunny eared girl. She was getting food there was an air of embarrassment about her when speaking with the food vender. “Can you make it back here alright? With the food intact of course.” “Of course.” Reo’s mental response was dripping with sarcasm. Luin was quickly discovering that her bonded did not like such close quarters with other humanoids. She sighed and focused on the mare. “I’m sorry to bother you, but do you know an area that might be a bit more,” she searched for the word. “Spacious?” She smiled down at the small humanoid that was peeking out at her. Such interesting creatures. Luin liked the odd ways they behaved.
Reo fiddled with the funnel cakes murmuring a thank you to the vender, they were hot but smelled good. She moved quickly back to Luin’s side and took a moment to breathe. She held a hot cake up for Luin to nibble on. “Careful it’s hot.” Reo blew on her own before taking an experimental nibble. Taking a look around she wondered if there was a time of day when the crown wasn’t quite so prevalent. Still she mulled her options over she would most likely get a better deal on quality if she were in the throng like the rest of the festival goers, but she might get better trade or price deals at the end of the day when everyone was tired and simply ready to pack up and head home. “I’m not a pack mule. Don’t get too much.” “I know. I know. After all who is the one carrying all the trade goods in a bag and who has absolutely nothing on her back hhmmm?”

She nodded mutely to the boy's introduction of himself, and once the boy was fascinated with Blossome again, she started to pick at her flower cake. She really didn't like being the center of attention. Crowds were okay.. But she got uncomfortable when people zero'd their focus in on her. Made her feel like she should be in a cage or something. She smiled watching her companion all but purr as she received attention.
She couldn't believe that she would have attracted an Azrein that was so completely her opposite. She was shy, and liked to keep to herself, and was quiet. Blossome was out-going, loved attention, and was defiantly a social butterfly. And then there was Jurge. So grounded and sensible, if not a bit of a pessimist. Her smile grew as she thought of them.
Then her attention turned to her food. Apparently she had eaten all of it and didn't even realize it.
Blossome lifted her head when the boy ducked beside her to look at the other Azrein. "Within the city? There's not really going to be any space right now. You'll have to go outside the walls if you want space." Her tail swished side to side in a slow motion, the long tresses waveing like a flag in a lazy breeze.
Then she turned her gaze to the little boy. Tis alright, Tobias, sir. She will not harm you. She let her mind touch the young boys gently, soothing.

Kyrielle had followed the throng of people and was attracted by the smell of food. Her stomach grumbled hungrily but she told her body to wait until later with a little snort to herself. She shouldn't have been surprised to see Azrein among the crowd and she suddenly wished Damir or Schuyler were there with her, she knew both of them would love it. Now, her attention went to two interesting looking azrein standing out among the crowd. The one that caught her eye was pink and had flowers in her hair, how fitting Kyri thought. It was then that she decided to go up to the chosen of said azrein. One a human and a Skh'et, she'd never met a Skh'et before but it was clear that both humanoids were uncomfortable. Spacing herself an equal distance between both of them, she found the courage to speak. "I suppose neither of you are used to crowds? I'm not either so I guess that makes three of us." She was trying to be friendly, but she hadn't really seen anyone except Thalanir for quite some time. "I'm Kyrielle." She said politely with a smile.

Reoakee sighed. It figured that there would be no space during a festival but that didn’t stop her from dreaming. Deciding that she would come back later in the day for better deals she was about to suggest they take a walk outside of the city and perhaps do a little trading with merchants coming into the city when she heard someone speak. Looking up she spotted piercing sapphire eyes boring into her. She instinctively took a step closer to Luin. With shoulder next to Luin’s shoulder she felt a bit more at ease. “Hello Kyrielle. I fear your right I’m not used to a crowd of this size. I’ve been living in a small village since I first came to the isle. I am Reoakee and this is Luin.” “Luin Olos Ithil Mallen.” Reaching over she took the rest of her funnel cake from Reo worried Reo would drop it. Luin liked the sweet thing. Gobbling it down she knew she had bits of it stuck to her face but didn’t really care too much. She looked back to the pink mare and boy. The boy seemed shy still so she didn’t want to shock him to much by speaking into his mind. She turned back to the humanoid that was speaking with Reo. The girl had wavy hair the color of a raven’s wing, taller than Reo and had a slight build with good muscles. All in all a basic human. Luin was more interested in the bunny girl. She stepped back from Reoakee and felt her bonded’s irritation. “Oh stop that. I’m not abandoning you. You should be more sociable anyway. Stop being such a hermit.” Luin had to be careful backing up so she didn’t hit anyone. Then moving around the pink mare she looked at the bunny girl. “Hello there. Do you have to brush your ears?” Reo was aggravated at being left alone with a complete stranger but she plastered on an uncertain smile and continued the conversation. “Do you live her Kyrielle or are you here only for the festival? ”

"It's nice to meet you, Reoakee and Luin." Kyri said, she really was glad to be meeting more people. It was nice that she could almost see the bond between the azrein and human. "I'm just here for the festival. It's quite extravagant. I've only been to the city a few times, I promised someone I would come see the festival for them." Then, realizing that both of them felt slightly uncomfortable, the thought of a topic that might make both of them feel a bit better. "So I assume you two are bonded? It was my own bonded that wanted me to come see this for him. He's traveling with his mate right now." Her voice was friendly and free when she spoke of Damir, oh how much that stallion made a difference in her life.

She wasn't sure what to do. So many people looking at her as if she were a dirty smudge on an otherwise clean table cloth. "Um.... no, I don't have to brush them, but I do, sometimes," she mumbled. "M..... my name is P.... Pyxmah..... This is... B........Blossome.." she moved closer to the pink mare, finding comfort in her nearness, and the scent of her flower's. She reached a hand absently out, and was soothed instantly when Blossome pressed her head against the little Skh'et's chest.
Blossome nearly forgot about the little boy since he had become so quiet and unmoving.

The boy had indeed become quite and was quite afraid when the mare spoke in his mind. It wasn't natural. He didn't mind talking horses. He just...didn't want one in his mind. With a frightened meep, the boy scrambled back to his mother and the two wandered away.
( Oooh you guys are doing good! Keep at it! Remember! There are other NPCs' just wandering about ))

"Well it's nice to meet you too Pyxmah and Blossome. Wasn't that boy a bit strange? It's like he'd never seen a bonded azrein before...do they all believe these rumours that have been going around?" Kyri asked to her two new acquaintances. They had all been squeezed into a relatively small space. The two humans and the Skh'et and the two azrein took up more room than they realized and the crowd alone was pushing them closer together. Well that's not going to help any of our uncomfortableness with crowds or tight spaces, she thought to herself. It was at this point, when she was looking through the crowd, that she saw one from the group of nobles she had been watching earlier. Acting on instinct alone, she excused herself from her tiny group with a promise to return shortly and wandered over to where the woman had stormed off. "Ma'am?" Kyrielle inquired politely with a curtsy since she seemed to be the most likely one to want to gossip. "I might have noticed the small squabble among your group earlier and you seemed sincerely distressed. Might I ask what the argument was about?" There was just too much strange behavior in one place for Kyri to let it go unnoticed, she had to get down to the bottom of it.

Thalanir and Aila had finally made it to the festival and were now searching for Kyrielle. It had taken them longer to get to the capitol city due to an unexpected problem with Thal's Bonded, Kailyn, who had decided to play hide and seek right before leaving, prompting Jonda in a massive panic attack that his son was missing... again. Thal saw a crowd pushing towards a pretty pink horse and wondered if Kyri wasn't in there somewhere, so he and Aila made their way into the crowd and pushed forward.
"There she is." Aila said, pointing towards the human. Thalanir smiled, his pointed ears lifting up as he did so, and pushed his way through the remaining crowd.
"Found ya." he ground out, his husky voice sounding as if he had swallowed bees, which wasn't far from the truth.

"Himura...isn't it? The King speaks highly of your service.." he said as he started to moved to take the flower, but instead pulled her hand up to his mouth to kiss the back of his thumb as was customary. As he did so, he started to pull her a bit closer when he was interrupted by the flower vendor putting a bloom in his cloak and another in Himura's hair. This made him laugh, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. He was worried about the rumors that were floating around, and granted a city was always blooming with them, there was always some hint of truth to them...but what was it...? He turned back to Himura and cocked his head towards the group that was arguing quite loudly, raising his eyebrows to ask if she'd heard the same rumors or things along that line. While no one outside the King, Duke, Chancellor and his fellow Night Angels were ever to know his true position in the court (he was curious how the woman had), the fact that he played a part of some sort was certain. Her job, though, was known, and she was trained to keep her ears open as much as he had been. "Seems rumors abound this time a year," he said, "as much as the blossoms do, but not nearly as pretty. Shall we head to the tournament?" I want to find out more about those runes, he didn't add aloud. He began heading that way, not wanting to let that group out of his sight yet, hoping she'd come with him willingly. A second set of ears would be handy...

Reoakee nodded to Kyri’s question glad to have something safe enough to talk about. “Rumors? Luin do you know what she’s talking about?” Luin gave a snort. “Oh Yes because I always know so much more than you.” Reo had been about to ask aloud what the girl meant when she took off. “ah.. oh.. mm..” Reo pursed her lips and walked around the pink mare in time to see a boy running off toward his mother. She blinked knowing she should be surprised to see children running around underfoot, but she was. She looked to the rabbit eared girl. What had she said her name was? “Pyxmah. And she doesn’t need to brush her ears.” Luin supplied the information happily. “Thanks.” Reo looked back toward where their blue eyed acquaintance had disappeared to. There was a blonde elf with his hair tied back in a throng and human girl behind Kyri. Reo had considered going up and asking Kyri if she knew a quitter part of town to sit and relax for a while, but with so many people around Reo was starting to feel antsy. She looked back to the bunny girl. She must feel as out of place as Reo did here since Reo hadn’t really noticed any other rabbit people, though she hadn’t been paying close attention. Now that she and Luin were both on the same side of pink mare Reo wondered if she should get on Luin and try riding though the crowd. A small wave of disapproval from her bonded made Reo blush just a bit. She sighed and smiled at the girl. “Hey let’s see if we can’t find a slightly less crowded part of the city. There has to be someplace that has just a few less people. If you’re with someone I don’t think people will be as likely to bother you.” “Or you but I notice you’re not saying that.” “Shut up.” “Nope. I exist only to annoy you. And of course.” Luin moved forward next to her bonded while Reo looked at her with one brow raised. “What?” Luin reached down and snapped up the other funnel cake Reo still hadn’t eaten. “steal your food.” “Hey!” “What you don’t want it to grow cold would you?” Luin smiled and batted her eyes sweetly. Reo rolled her eyes and looked to the pink mare and pyxmah waiting for their answer. "You know you forgot something." Luin spoke aloud for the benefit of others. "hmm?" "We've been introduced over and around but never face to face in this case." Luin chuckled at the chaos. "Oh!" Reo was shocked to realize Luin was right. She blushed very embarrassed and coughed into her hand to try and give herself some time. "Sorry about that Pyxmah. I'm Reoakee and you've already met Luin." Luin thought about correcting her but decided against because she knew Reoakee only introduced her that way to annoy her for stealing the food before.

Himura smirked and tried to hide her blush. "Yes my name is Himura. D...does he now?" she was surprised that he would say this. Perhaps he was just flattering her, but why say it if it wasn't true. "Oh thank you" she said quickly to the shop keeper for the flower. She smiled and looked back up towards the ones who were arguing. She too had heard rumors but on fortunately hadn't been able to track it down one way or the other and it frustrated her. Her job was knowing what was going on and she didn't know if it was true or not. However she always assumed the worst in situations like these and it had always served her well. "Yes I've heard the rumors too, I surely wonder if they are true" she said hoping he would know more than she. "Yes we should go to the tournaments or we'll miss something" she wasn't really talking about missing some of the festivities but didn't want to be too obvious about her desire to follow the large group.

Nick wound his way through the crowd, keeping a tight hold of Himu's wrist so that they'd not get seperated in the crowd. "There's this thing about rumors...somewhere, admist all the fluff that's built up, is a seed of truth. It's always there, the question is what exactly. Too many things don't add up...where'd they go now?!" This last statement was followed by a string of quiet curses.
They'd arrived at the edge of the tournament grounds, but the crowd was so packed that Nick lost sight of his quarry momentarily amidst the ever moving mass of people, and the light of the morning sun as it momentarily blinded him. "Did you see where they went?" he asked as he continued to scan the crowd. Curse this celebration for that simple fact alone...
Ah!! There they are! He grinned as he spotted what appeared to be their quarry not far off, and nodding his head to Himu, began moving that way once more.
