"Oh! Do you think I should open the window and let him in?" Kerensa asked Sparrow, looking through the window at the mockingbird. "Or should I wait till we finish the soup? I wouldn't want our bird friend to get hurt if he lands on the stove or something. Though I know he'd be well behaved, I've never had a bird in my apartment before, so I wouldn't want any of us to get hurt."

"It's up to you. Maybe he just came by to check on us." He shrugged. Then saw him take off and land in a nearby tree. He somewhat blanket out as he thought. "Hey Ren?" He looked over at her. "What would you do if you could fly?"

"Hmm, well I'd love to be able to fly, but I don't think I will ever get off the ground without wings. If I ever got wings somehow, I'd probably need a lot of practice before trying anything fancy. I'd love to do some flying tricks if I could though. And when I finished that, I'd land up in the trees and watch the clouds in the sky." Kerensa responded with a thoughtful expression, then smiled at Sparrow cheerfully. "Are you done with those potatoes? We need to add them in now. I'll continue stirring while you pour them into the pot slowly."

"One day you will get of the ground." He smiled at her and winked, hoping it didn't give too much away. He added the potatoes to the pot and grinned. He was trying hard not to drool, the smell was fantastic. "Is it almost done?" His tail wagged, he wanted to taste the soup of their labor.

"Yup! Almost done!" Kerensa replied. Then after adding the final few ingredients - cheese, salt, pepper, and last of all, some bacon pieces and a bit of sour cream- and giving the pot a final stirring, she nodded at Sparrow and turned off the stove. "Okay! All done. Just let me get some bowls to put it in and we can finally sit down and taste it!" Grabbing two bowls from the cabinet, Kerensa poured some soup into each of them and set the bowls on the table. "Let's eat!" she exclaimed with a grin.

As the bowls were set down his stomach growled and he licked his lips before droll leaked all over the table. He awkwardly gripped his spoon and took a bite. It was the perfect temperature. He smiled and melted in his seat. This was the most delicious thing he had ever tasted!

As she ate a bit of her soup, Kerensa wondered thoughtfully what Sparrow could have meant earlier when he'd mentioned something about her flying someday. It was an interesting thought, but... How could she even try to fly? Deciding he simply meant to be nice, she continued eating her soup, giggling as she saw Sparrow's reaction to the taste. "I take it you like the soup?" she asked him.

Sparrow simply nodded. "It's great~ Really good." When the bowl was empty he sat with a large grin on his face and patted his belly. "Thank you." He chuckled a bit, he didn't know if it was possible to move, but he didn't need to he was happy where he was. "After our stomachs settle why don't we go for a walk in the park?"

"A walk in the park sounds like fun!" Kerensa agreed, her tail wagging at the thought of being outside again. Despite the apartment's conveniences and comforts, she still loved to be outdoors more than being confined by walls, especially on a nice day such as this. "And maybe later, once it gets dark out, we can watch the stars and I can show you some of the constellations I saw last night."

Sparrow sighed happily, his gut didn't feel as stuffed as it was and he was able to move around freely. He smiled at Kerensa. "Are you ready to go?" He stretched out as he waited for her response. Oddly enough, his stomach wasn't clenching or knotting when he was planning on doing something special. This had to be a good sign.

Kerensa nodded. "Yup. I can clean up the dishes when I get back." She replied with a grin. "If you're all ready too, let's go." Stacking the dishes in the sink carefully, if a bit quickly due to excitement, she then headed to the door, checking to see if Sparrow was behind her before opening it though.

Sparrow followed her out of the door and walked with her to the park where they had met. They had found a nice shaded spot near the lake under the shade of willow tree. The churning in his stomach came back as he watched her. He couldn't help but to hum the song that drew him to her. "Kerensa? Can you do me a favor?" His cheeks were turning pink.

Looking at Sparrow curiously as she wondered what he wanted to ask, Kerensa tilted her head to the side and inquired "Is something wrong? I'll definitely try my best to help you out."

Kerensa looked at him curiously, wondering why, but she did trust Sparrow. So she did as he'd asked. Closing her eyes, she breathed in and out slowly and calmly, focusing on the sounds around her to try and tell what was going on. It was hard to focus on keeping her eyes closed because of her excitement and curiosity. She wanted to find out what was going on, but didn't want to spoil whatever surprise she guessed Sparrow was preparing for her.
