well, i usually just go to the theater, watch the movie, and then leave. so, no stories there. unless you count the times where i've gone to the theater with my friend lunar and we giggle the whole time at the people around us who have absolutely ridiculous laughs or laugh at the oddest parts in the movie.
the last movie i saw in theaters was the avengers, i believe. it was quite good.
i much look forward to seeing the dark knight rises, brave, the amazing spiderman, and the perks of being a wallflower, which is my favorite book and comes out in september. though i'm a little weary to see how it will turn out in movie format.

Yeah they butcher the transition from book to movie a lot...any other good stories of random things happening?

not really. i sort of hate it when people talk/interrupt a movie that i'm watching intently, so i get pretty pissy when there's stuff happening around me. not only that, but every movie i've gone to, i've gone to with my parents, leaving a small margin for teenage-fun to occur within the parameters of acceptable behavior regarding presence of parents.
SO yeah. but i saw harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2 last summer and it was so good that i cried cat_4laugh i can't believe it's almost been a year~~~

I guess this is something "Interesting" that happened in a movie theater.
So you may think I'm silly, ehehe, but I'm... The type of person who will sob--quietly, but you still sort of notice-- through scenes that I find sad/that I can relate to/or that I fear personally.
So I was watching The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and we were sort of at the end. You know how in the second movie, Susan and Peter both couldn't come back to Narnia? And the third one... Lucy and Edmund couldn't return as well? Yeah-- Well I was by myself (nobody wanted to come with me... crying ) And surprisingly, the theater was quite empty.
Well--yes, it was finishing up, and Lucy and Edmund figured out that they couldn't return to Narnia, I began sobbing. Yes, completely sobbing. Yes, C.S. Lewis is talking about growing up and such, but I found it heartbreaking... That the four of them couldn't return to the placed. that they loved and cherished.
So suddenly, somebody plopped beside me, and another sat on the other side, and it was these two guys around my age (they're actually a like 2-3 years older). They were both also crying-- Like not as bad as me, but still-- Really just crying as well. So one pushed up the arm rest and hugged me, and the other did the same. We just sat there and cried until the end. And when we left the theater, we just began talking.
That night, I made the two best friends of my life. smile They're currently still a couple, and we still go to movies and sob through scenes we all find upsetting.
Yep... My "Interesting" story from the movie theater. And this is just one... Of many.

Awww, that's adorable! Yeah If you ever see me crying in a movie it really has to get to me...Shiny doesn't cry, I was taught crying is a sign of weakness. Which is why, ask anyone who knows me, I will go off and hide or take a very long walk if I'm going to cry. If I cry in your presence it means I trust that you won't use my feelings against me...

you need satan Um... o.o Not that I can remember. I don't really go to the theater that often. But! I do remember a funny but somewhat vulgar story/advice an old teacher of mine told me. When you're at the movies and you have to fart, slouch down, spread your legs so it come out silently and blow downwards to move it towards the people in front of you. xD that's gross and mean.but funny. emotion_eyebrow

I think that is hilarious but it would totally suck for the people in the row in front of you.I think that's really neat. You should see me when I'm watching my dramas. I do some pretty gross sobbing. I couldn't express my feelings so I just had to release it in a way that was. . . necessary for the moment. Also, I thought that was an interesting way to make friends.

Those boys have kept me out of trouble far more times than I can count. I love 'em sooooooo much. And yeah-- I don't do much exuberant sobbing-- But it's saved for the characters that I have connected deeper than the rest.

Me and my sister went to see Abe Lincon: Vampire Hunter and had a great time laughing at all the ads until the one for The Dark Knight Rises came on and we just sat there in awe.

One thing I hate about going to the movies, is that I always find 461261254653 new movies that I want to see! crying
I just saw Escape Plan on Friday though, and it was really good! I was debating on that or The Fifth Estate, but I was going with my friends, and I didn't think they'd be interested in a movie based off of WikiLeaks. (I'm the only smart one in the group)

The last time I went to watch a movie was with my parents and there were people behind me that wouldn't shut up. Their demon spawn children kept kicking the back of my seat and it was an altogether sucky experience. Then the people jumped right into the next movie without paying. My step dad was like 'not happening' and told the manager. We got free movie tickets for an IMAX 3D movie, any movie, but we haven't used them yet... If we still can...

I usually avoid darkly lit rooms with strangers so I've seen very few movies in theaters. Though I do remember catching the first Captain America movie a week or two after release and someone actually showed up cosplaying as Captain America. It was pretty nifty, I even overcame my fear of strangers to ask him for a picture. 3nodding
