Otto had finally gotten off his a** and retrieved his weapon, which had landed some few meteres away from him. As Tenya rambled off in his mind about leaving a lady all alone, he sneered at both Ami and Gale for their comments. "Ya know, I didn't have to come help your sorry a**." Otto bitched, shouldering Tenya and tsking at the new Full Hunter. Otto braced himself for another hit from the angry bird, skidding backward from the force of it. Aleister frowned he wasn't even able to get in a hit yet, This wasn't going to end good at all. He watched the bird as it flew around attacking others as they drew it's attention.
This wasn't going to be good at all.
<Oi, focus will you?> Pookie sounded grumpy as Aleister was too busy trying to figure out what to do and not hitting the bird.
Aleister blinked startled a bit, right he aimed the blitzball for the bird... and missed.... again... Successfully he gained the bird attention and got pecked at again. "Oww.... ack."

"Yes, well, a very angry Fearow who wants to eat us," replied Gale, with a relieved look over his shoulder at Saya as the hunter came running up. He hadn't seen her for a while, and he gave her a quick nod in greeting.
"Aleister, you doing okay over there?"
The phoenix gave a terrible, screeching cry and Gale took several steps backwards, swearing a little. "And yet you still came," he replied to Otto, casting a glance over at the blonde haired hunter an arching a brow. "Says a lot without actually saying it, wouldn't you agree?"
Jinhai made a small noise, somewhere between a snarl and a hiss, and Gale lifted the rifle, aiming it towards the phoenix. He could feel the coldness of the metal barrel seeping into his hands beneath the gloves, the thrum of power as he let loose a volley of bullets, all aimed towards the creature. It gave a horrible shriek in protest, flapping its wings, and Gale darted backwards.
"Everyone all right? How is everyone holding up?"

When Ryan received the text from Gale, he immediately rolled off the small cot and took off in the direction of the town. If it was bad enough that Gale was calling him for back up, his opponent must have been bad. At least as bad as what he and Wilson had found before he figured, and considering Gale was kind enough to answer their plea for help, it was only right to return the favor.
Though by the time he actually arrived there, it appeared they had already been engaged in battle for some time.
"Now who's trying to find the big ones." He teased, moving in to block attacks for the one hunter who was looking worse for wear.

Ami nodded and continued guarding Kat. She had no other choice really. She couldn't defend ALL of them. Luckily it seemed as though Gale was calling in even more reinforcements. With any lucky, they might actually make it out!
In fact, she was so encouraged that Ami gave a little, "Don't ******** this up guys." Aww how sweet.

Gale must have whipped out his cellphone again at some point (or perhaps a few of them had come quite late) because a couple more trainees managed to show up. Again, Wilson recognized familiar faces. He waved to both Saya and Ryan. His greeting was especially enthusiastic when the male moon trainee arrived on the scene. “Ryan! Hey! God, I know right?” He laughed.
Wilson would have frowned at Ami and said something about language, but he had allowed himself to get distracted for too long and the phoenix noticed. It let out another loud screech before it swept down to smack him with its large wings. The air left his lungs as he fell to the ground a few feet away from his original spot. “Ow. Okay. Note to self: don’t get too distracted.” Slowly, the hunter got back to his feet and eyed the creature.
That was when he remembered Kat’s inquiry about a plan. “Right. A plan sounds nice. Gale, is there a plan?”

Wincing, Kat gripped her guns tightly and waited for the phoenix to come around again. If they got out of this okay, she owed this girl, Ami a drink. It was thanks to her that she wasn't collapsed on the ground right now. Which, she probably would have been.
"Could be worse." she commented to Gale. She had taken worse beatings before. This was nothing. But..it could turn ugly fast.
"Yes, ma'am." Kat grinned at Ami's command. If this was one of the main problems at Dues, then they definitely couldn't ******** this up.
Aiming high, Kat fired again as the large bird closed in.

Firing off several more shots, Gale reached down, fumbling in his pocket for his mobile again.

The Misty received the text and was quick to respond. Or as quick as Before was capable. He'd come to expect that whenever anyone called for him to help, it meant something big, bad, and full of INSANITY. And this time was no different :/ but a summons was a summons, plus it was from a Beta Bro and Before was never known to refuse a Bro's request!
"Oh fu-," he squeaked just as a wing descended on him, smashing him down face-first onto the ground. Despite his groans, he was grateful to have Vanna's FEAR shield taking most of the damage. He pushed himself up to his feet and summoned Vanna in the same breath. He squatted down, drew in air, and leapt up to strike at the creature.

Aleister ran after the phoenix again, managing to barely clip the creature with his biltzball. When it came after him however, Ryan had jumped into the way. "Thanks...." He said as he relaxed a bit, he sounded a little winded.
"These ferrow or ho-hos or whatever you wanna call them are crazy." He added with a frown. Ryan gave the other a brief nod, happy to lend a hand. Though he wasn't sure how well he could continue to do so. This wasn't your average dumb monster after all and he wasn't that skilled yet.
But what was this?
"Ferrow... Ho-oh?" Just what were they comparing this thing to? Pokemon? If that's the case, just throw a freaking pokeball and get rid of the damn thing. He shook his head, watching the monster carefully until it lashed out again. Only this time he wasn't quick enough to intercept.

"Whooooo needed some Bix in their life?" The albino hunter burst on the scene "Nice Gale.. you have a knack for picking houses. Figures you'd pick the one with the giant phoenix living in it." Mina was in his hand when he arrived so it took only the blink of an eye for him to target the monster.
Only a sliver of the phoenix's attack was blocked and Bix found himself with a face full of monster. He wacked it away with his bow, not exactly what he'd been aiming for but it had been a solid hit.

And then Before. Gale was suddenly feeling a lot of the pressure leaving him as he said, "Hey, Before," in a completely casual tone of voice, as though they weren't just fighting some giant phoenix monster thing.
"Ho-oh? You mean like the little cake things?"
He swung the rifle around, firing off a few more shots just as a familiar voice caught his ear, and Gale turned his head to give the albino a Look.
"No, as a matter of fact, I don't," he said, in a mildly disgruntled sounding voice as he rolled his eyes. But he was already dropping to one knee, breathing heavily as he lifted the rifle.
"And I beg to differ - I'm pretty sure you're the one getting everyone into these things..."

"No Ho-oh the rainbow bird from the second generation of Pokemon." He clearly had been a little too into pokemon to remember that.

What were they all going on about? Pokemon? ..well it did kind of look like Ho-oh. Sort of. She was so out of date on pokemon. In fact, she barely knew half of what there was anymore. What game were they up to now? Gold? Er..Black, white? There was a lot! She knew that! Though, she doubt she would ever have herself 'catching them all'. Not with five hundred or so more popping out of no where when another game surfaced. And here she thought there was only a hundred some..or at least that was what the first games had told her. She had been led on..
Catching sight of it coming around for another attack, Kat moved to fire at it, but instead shot straight past it as it flew over. Well..she's had better days with better aim. This was definitely not one of them.
Kneeling on the ground, she took this time to catch her breath. "Sorry, I'll just be..a minute." Damn though..this bird was bloody pain in the a**. Well, she had at least one more attack left in her. If she could, she would try to use her last remaining strength to shoot the over sized chicken.
She wanted to know..how the hell did this phoenix get here in the first place? Was this what everyone had been doing while she was back in the pods? Letting weird creatures run amok Dues Ex? Seriously though..how did this even happen? She hoped that maybe after this, one of the others may be willing to fill in the holes for her, 'cause right now--she was confused as hell.
:Are you just going to sit there? That creature is still about! Get off your a** and do something.: Making a face at Xedis' words, she refused to move an inch. He could b***h at her as much as he liked. Right now, she wanted to save what little energy she had left, to perhaps get a good shot on the sucker. Or..make it out of here conscious, or better yet--alive. Sorry, sorry. Your just gonna have to stay put with me, Xe.
The ranting continued on for a little while longer, but she paid him no mind. Right now, she was more concerned on the whereabouts of that damn bird. It was likely to show its face again, any second. If that was the case, she would need to dodge its next attack.
