Continuing their odd display, the Snover began to move in a rather mechanical manner, sliding into a smooth stepped backwards walk and a faint spin. With each passing second the steps of the dance seemed to change, yet each moved flawlessly into the other as the tree shaped Pokemon continued their performance. The purpose of which would soon become clear.

The entire time the Pokemon moved to their Grass & Ice-Type groove, the snow which had only just started began to descend in flakes of increasing size. Suddenly a chunk of ice would smack into the back of Riku's head, several similar pieces larger then most golf-balls began to pelt the ground...as well as just about everything else in the area!

It was at that time the Snover would cease their movements, dispersing into the area seeming entirely heedless of Riku's presence.

Now it would be quite clear what the Snover had been up to gathered in this place...they'd been gathering up a Hail Storm!

Riku was relieved when the group didn't seem to notice or pay her any attention. They continued their dance and then finally finished. When it was finished, she watched as they walked away. However just when she relaxed a little, something hard hit her in the back of her head. Caught off guard, she stumbled head first basically face planting into the snow. Brushing the snow off her face and shivering slightly, she then spotted what had hit her. The chunk of ice was huge and she glanced up. There was lots of ice coming from the sky, it was a hail storm! Just great. The Guard team member actually preferred the snow to this. Shaking her head and rubbing the back of it gently, she continued forward hoping to get closer to the building.

Trudging through snow and pelting hail, Riku would find not a single chuck struck her after that first hit...though it was falling perilously close. Likely it would only become a true danger if she fell into a battle.

Suddenly the relative peace of the mountain side would be broken by an ominous caw. Sitting atop one of the few trees in the area, a single Murkrow seemed to be watching the girl with interest, cocking it's head to one side to get a better look at her.

Nothing seemed to be happening in which she was grateful. Running into the group of dancing Snover had brought bad luck following especially with the change of weather. A little bit of luck was with her as she continued to walk through the snow while avoiding being hit by the chunks of hail pelting the ground. She glanced around and spotted nothing while walking and relaxed a little. That was her first rookie mistake. There was a loud caw that pierced the air. Glancing around, she looked up. It had sounded like a bird pokemon and so she looked to the trees. There was a lone Murkrow. Maybe if she just kept calmly walking by or running, she could manage to slip by it. The girl didn't really want a battle right at this moment. If she could keep her pokemon in relatively good health, it would be great. She didn't know what kind of dangers would be at her destination when she could finally arrive at the building. The girl glanced once more at the black crow pokemon and then began to jog slightly, trying to avoid the pokemon.

The Murkrow would not follow the girl, it would even move in her general direction. It simply watched her with interest...an ill omen to most.

Riku was sort of lucky because the pokemon didn't give chase. The girl knew that Murkrow were supposed to be a sign of an ill omen but she didn't know what to really think about it. It could possibly mean basically anything. The girl would just have to keep her guard up and expect the unexpected. Glancing at Sir Aiden and seeing he was doing okay, she continued to trudge through the snow. The hail was still pouring down but it wasn't too bad. She rubbed her hands together, trying to get the feeling back in them as she continued walking. What would they end up running into next?

An ill omen indeed; and although the Murkrow hadn't given chase after the girl, that did not mean she was not being followed. No, that single caw had been a signal. A call to arms for one of the most dangerous, and perhaps bizarre creatures living upon the mountain...

">And so the Dark Avenger finds herself pitted against another foul foe...a malicious nemesis that must be vanquished<" A creature whispered to herself as she silently stalked after Riku, ducking behind a rock to avoid detection. ">Silently our hero creeps after this most vile creature, seeking to befoul this place with her red-furred companion...<" The dark furred Pokemon continued on, tip toeing in surprising silence despite the normal crunch of the snow ">...but what is their true goal? An avalanche? Shall they split the mountain in two, or set all they behold aflame? What devious scheme or desire could have brought the villainous female here? <" The Pokemon would mutter, leaping into a snow bank as she continued her narration.

">Silent as the grave our hero shall pursue this damnable creature across the snow, ice chunks the size of an oran berry falling from the heavens. Stealthy as any feline, but graceful as a bird she travels across the mountain side in chase of her enemy...the enemy of all that is good in this place...<" The faintest noise would come from a nearby pine this time, the needles rustling slightly as a dark shaped scaled the length of the trunk and hid within it's branches.

">The villain now left unprotected in the open, our hero sees the perfect opportunity to strike...but does not every hero hold true to honor? Is not victory without loss of life the outcome most sought? And so our hero prepares to strike fear into her opponent with a resounding...<" Still narrating as the Pokemon took off down a large branch, her claws digging into the wood as she leaped into the air, flipping three times before striking the ground 5 feet in front of Riku.

"SNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

The cry was high pitched, and likely significantly less frightening then intended. In the background one could almost here the cawing laugh of the distant Murkrow.

It was a Sneasel.

The girl hadn't really been paying much attention. Her gaze had scanned across the area and not seeing any immediate threat had continued forward. Any noise the Sneasel had been making, she hadn't heard and when she glanced behind of herself, the girl hadn't noticed anything. Either the Sneasel was really good at being stealthy or the girl just wasn't really alert. Possibly a combination of the two. She froze in her tracks when a dark shape leapt out of nowhere and landed a good distance in front of her. The Guard member's brown eyes were round and wide with shock. Her heart beat was rapidly slamming against her chest. Talk about an adrenaline rush. It was just a pokemon. The Sneasel didn't look friendly or happy at all that they were there. The girl just had the worst luck, running into all the pokemon that resided on this mountain.

Sir Aiden immediately stepped forward, fangs bared. >Ma'am, I believe any quarrel you have is with me, not my trainer.<" the Growlithe barked. His fur bristled slightly as the Growlithe calmly kept watching the Sneasel. He had no doubt in his mind that this would result in a battle. The pokemon looked fairly strong but he had to protect Riku. The fire dog watched the dark pokemon wearily, wondering what she would do first.

With that, the pair were able to capture the Growlithe and he is a good addition to their team.

">And so our hero must first face the villains henchmen...er....dog....before facing the manifestation of evil herself! With a cool head and a relaxed posture, the hero feels now fear of her wood be foe!<" The Sneasel would continue her narration from before, seemingly ignoring the fact that Sir Aiden had actually said anything.

">Come and get me ya wet-match!<" She said, waving one claw for the Growlithe to come at her. Yes, she wasn't beginning this battle with an actual attack, but attempting to strip her opponent of his logic with a Taunt!

The Taunt had been effective! Sir Aiden felt an unexplainable rage suddenly pulse through his veins. The Growlithe's fur spiked up as he let loose a loud rumble of a growl. It echoed through his chest as his claws dug into the ground. The fire within him was building as he spit flames from his maw. Running straight through the blazing inferno while his coat became covered in the fire, he charged aiming to slam into the Sneasel with Flame Charge! His normally cool composure was completely lost as he lost all senses, only the anger that ran through his blood stream.

(32.) TAUNT Con. type Smart = Only attack moves )

(Attack, attack, attack when a pokemon is taunted this is all they can think to do. Though how having a pokemon ready to rip you to shreds come out to be a good thing is up to the user. Luckily enough this is a temporary stats that ends after 5 attack turns as the pokemon in question seems to calm down. )

((Someone clearly wasn't looking hard enough.))

">Fire and flames, a mighty blaze cloaked the hero's foe, but even of the face of such danger she stood unwavering. For what is such a small fire in the case of the northern cold?<" The Sneasel narrated, standing perfectly still as she spoke ">Like a match caught in the wind, our hero knew all too well how easily such a blaze might be snuffed. Indeed, the heat held no power here or to her.<"

Crouching low, the Sneasel would remain silent, then pushing off the ground she would rather abruptly begin her narration anew ">With the speed of the northern wind, and the grace of a feather caught in the breeze, our heroine sought to leap over the canine inferno; but what would her fate be? Would it be victory, or a fiery demise?<"

15 HP remaining
Sir Aiden could feel the anger still pulsing but he pushed it back. He couldn't afford to lose control so early in the battle. The hail hit him and he felt the stones managing to pierce through his thick coat. They were shallow scratches, but it still stung a little. Irritated, he cursed the Snover's ridiculous dancing that they had run into. If he had charged into them, would they have stopped? Possibly. He growled and then turned and began to weave through the snow, aiming to avoid whatever attack came next.

When Aiden took to the snow however, the Sneasel took to the trees! Sharp claws digging into the bark, the Dark-Type practically flew up the pine as her eyes shimmered brightly. She knew how to surprise an opponent, and how to catch them from the one direction they were never expecting!

">With the speed and dexterity of a feline, our heroine ascends the thick trunk with ease, all the while her enemy unaware of her intentions. After all, those sharp claws are capable of tearing into more then simply bark; but shall flesh prove any more resilient? Our hero doubts this<" The Sneasel spoke, her voice still rather clear to be heard as she reached the top of the tree, and when she did it was not to linger. With the same speed she'd used to climb the giant, she leaped off the side, swan diving before spinning once and aiming the claws upon her feet to tear into the Growlithe's back.

Scratch attack, and one with gravity itself as the force behind it!

[19-9] + [14-10] = 14 + 2 = 16 DMG
Sir Aiden was hanging on by a mere strand of life. The Scratch had dug deep enough to actually pierce through the Growlithe and leave a deep slash. The fire pokemon was merely standing on a limb now.

Riku looked worried and immediately returned him to his pokeball. At first she glared at the Sneasel. This pokemon was really strong and then sent out Ryuu.

Ryuu looked at the Sneasel knowing it was his newest opponent. Immediately he shifted into the defensive.

[2 DMG FROM HAIL TO RYUU!]

">And so our heroine has defeated the first of the villains flunkies, but low and behold she has ensnared others in her net of blackness. Stocky and stalwart, her latest adversary knows to fear our heroine...but will that caution save him?<" The Sneasel narrated, sharpening her claws slowly as she began circling the Larvitar, searching for a weakness.

Claws at the ready, the Ice-Type would abruptly charge forward, swinging her arms in a Scratch attack. For now, she would simply see what came of her actions.
