He swallowed, pulling away from the needles just slightly so it didn't cut the skin. He didn't want his face scarred up. He was fine with his body being scarred up, but he was a tiny bit vain. He couldn't see. Had he been told he would be letting a ghost with needles touch him like this a year ago, he would have punched the idiot that dared to say so.
But here he was, he thought, letting her do what he wanted, even though her needles were NOT the best thing to imagine this close to his eyes.

Needle was unaware that her spikes were touching him; after all there was no tugging to indicate being stuck, or the pressure of actually puncturing the skin. She seemed pleased by her progress so far and moved her hands to touch his ears, brushing her fingers along the rim and tracing the lines of his piercings.
"Almost done." She assured him then, lifting her hands one last time to touch his hair, careful yo not russle it in her attempt to feel what a mohawk was. Sure she had an idea from his general shape, but on the whole she usualy just figured that was a horn or something.
"There." Her hands slid down his face, neck and further down to eventually stop at his chest, where she absently left her henda. "Thank you, Roch. You must be a visually pleasing person to gaze at, your features are near-symmetrical." It was a rather matter-of-fact thing to say, but she said it easily and more importantly, cooly. One that had discovered something interesting as opposed to something desirable.

"Um, thanks, I think?" he said. He wasn't sure what symmetry had to do with being good looking, but he figured she knew more than he did. "Hey, uh, can I ask... what's with the curiosity?" he asked curiously. "I mean, y'know, do you do this with everyone?"

"I do not do this with everyone; you are the second. As for my curiousity...it is because of this magazine I read." She started, lifting her head to 'look' at him, though it was hard to tell exactly where she was looking. "It keeps talking about Bad Boils, and I now believe you fit the criteria; I have never met one, and would like to briefly experience the appeal." It was a short explanation, but what more needed to be said? Actually, there was a lot more to be said on the subject, but that was it best summed up.

"... Bad... boil appeal," Roch repeated blankly. "Okay, now I gotta ask, can I SEE this magazine. Cuz I have NO jackin' idea what the bad boil appeal is," he said honestly. "Maybe if you show me I can pull it off!" he decided, grinning.
Okay, he was an idiot, but this sounded entertaining.

"Yes." He seemed eager to see this magazine, but his words weren't entire confidence inspiring. "If the magazine told me what the appeal was I would not be here!" She insisted, her lips pressing breifly into a thin line. Luckily for him she had it on her, as she had been reading it during class; which may or may not have been the reason for her being there right now...the curiousity had gotten too much. Her hands left his chest to reach into the little shoulder bag she had, feeling around for the familiar magazine paper before drawing it out hand holding it out to him.
"If you do decide you'd like to help me, please be aware this is for my own little personal experiment; you have been kind to my sister and you are aesthetically pleasing, however I have no interest in persuing something serious." In this she seemed very determined; it was just science, not true-to-life emotions.

"So... basically... you wanna play date?" Roch asked, his mind going straight to when he'd played that game with Hel. "Like what, go out to eat and stuff? I almost got my bike ready for that sort of stuff! Hell, why not?" he asked, grinning. "I haven't had that sort of fun for a while!"

"A Date?" She repeated as if testing the word, rolling it around on her tongue. Suddenly she lit up; her mouth curled into a wide smile and she stood straighter if that were even possible. "Yes, a date! 'Going out' as you put it, and whatever intimacy it entails." She mused on the subject, swaying slightly as she mulled it over; such things she had only read about! But to experience would be so...so...!
"I have never been on a date! This sounds exciting!" Yes, this was going to work out just fine! With this she could interact with Roch in a one-on-one environment AND perhaps get some experience on the appeal of the so-called Bad Boils! How could she lose?!
"Roch, I would like it very much if you would Play Date me!" Like, Right now please!

Hmmm... well, movies were out, go-cart racing was out, unless she was in the passenger side, but he could take her down town! There was a fair going on! "Wanna go to town?" he asked her. "Course it sucks I ain't got my bike, but we can walk," he told her.
Wait... what "intimacies"? He thought about it for a second, then shrugged it off.

"Down town?" Needle frowned softly; she'd been downtown a few times, and each time she had gotten ridiculously lost, even with her 'helpful' hidden markings. Too many things to see any one thing clearly, and she almost always ended the day with a headache. Those times she had either gone alone or with her sister though, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad with this boil guiding her? "I...suppose. If you promise to stay with me..." She seemed uncertain, minutely shifting her weight from one foot to the other. Definitely unsure of the whole town idea, at the very least.
"I am very adept at walking great distances! You lead the way and I will follow." He had a nice homing beacon on his shoulder after all.

"Naaaah, no following necessary," he said with a grin, reaching down and taking her hand firmly, his fingers lacing through hers. "See? Trust me, I know EXACTLY what I'm doin' down town. Hell, closest I get to home around here." He tugged her out the door, giving her an easy running commentary about what they were passing.
"Gnome mooning us to the right, two gnomes tangoing to the left," he told her quietly. "Steps going down, one, two--"

It was her turn startle softly as he grabbed her hand; she didn't see it coming (so to speak), and on reflex she tightened her grip however momentarily. Regardless of the surprise she followed him easily, though her head remained down as they moved as if trying to focus on her feet in an attempt to not trip; not that she had any worry of that really, all she had to do was turn her feet intangible and nothing anyone did could trip her.
Unless they hit her knees, anyway.
"You are a very good guide." She informed him anyway, though she wasn't even trying to look at the things he was pointing out to her. "You have done this before?"

"Nope," Roch said cheerfully once they hit the bottom of the stairs. "But I'm good at pointing out things I would wanna know," he told her. "We're gonna head down the hall and out the doors now, then we'll start down the path that leads off campus and into town, okay? This is gonna be awesome, I hope they got barbecued bat wings."
Wait, what? Had he TOLD her they were going to a fair?

"Okay." Putting her faith into this boil could prove disasterous really, but on the flip side; it was in the name of science, and if this went bad? Well, never again. School was all about learning and making mistakes after all! She wanted to make almost every mistake in the book; at least the innocent ones that would get her kicked out of the Engravers really fast.
"Why would they not have them?" Downtown had food places, she knew that much! Clearly Roch, you never told her where they were going. Bad, Roch. "Have you been to this restaurant before?" Now she was sounding suspicious, as she should be.

"Restaurant?" he asked blankly. "Needle, we're goin' to the fair! Not a restaurant!" he said. "There will be rides and music and snacks and stuff!"
