"Really?" Sparrow wagged his tail as well. "Be still." He whistled a serious of chirps and tweets and a mockingbird responded to him. Sparrow beamed and stretched a paw toward the bird, which fluttered down to him. "This is a mockingbird. I see him a lot. He's a nice bird." He carefully took her paw and set the bird on her. "He's a fast learner. He'd sing with you if you taught him." He smiled and blushed a bit.

"I think I'll try and see if I can teach him my bird song. Would you like to help me out with your whistling, Sparrow?" she asked him, smiling at the thought of the two of them and the mockingbird performing her song together. Kerensa was a tiny bit nervous about singing once more, but she felt sure that since Sparrow loved the song so much the first time, he would be glad to hear it again.

Another blush stretched across his cheeks. "A-ah ok. Yeah" He nodded and whistled the first note. The bird tuned in with him. He smiled at Kerensa. He kept blushing as he whistled the melody of the song.

Kerensa picked up on the tune, and after a little bit soon joined in with the familiar words. "Oh, to fly like a bird, on soft feathered wings. To see from above, take a new view of things. If I were a bird, I'd sing and be free. How beautiful, so beautiful, the songbird can be." The song was even more wonderful now that they sang it together! After she ended the final line, Kerensa moved a bit closer to Sparrow, unsure how to tell him what she was suddenly feeling. Was it admiration? No, that was only part of it. She was getting a warm and fuzzy feeling she had never known before, but then she finally recognized it. It was because she was falling in love! Sparrow seemed like a very kind Zune, so perhaps he would return her affection. Deciding to get Sparrow's opinion, Kerensa whispered softly into his ear "That was the most beautiful way I've ever heard my song performed. Would you... Would you be my songbird? I mean, what I'm trying to say is... I think I'm in love." Kerensa managed to get her words across, though not exactly how she'd intended. Looking anxious, she awaited an answer.

It was beautiful. The sky, the song, her voice... Her. When the tune finished it went quiet. The mockingbird flew away singing her song. He was still blushing, bright red in fact. He listened to Kerensa whisper in his ear. She wanted him to be her songbird... Wow. Was he that good? He never thought it was special, just some little thing he did. "I'm glad you liked it..." He the froze and his face flushed. "I-In l-love?" His eyes grew a bit wide. "W-with me?" Was he dreaming? Was this real life?

Kerensa nodded at him and smiled, her shyness leaving now that she had broken the ice a little. "I want to know, if maybe you feel the way I do too. I know we just met and all but... I feel we've started something special between us here. Maybe it could grow even better if we give it a chance. And, you got me to sing. That's something not everyone can do." Smiling again, she giggled a bit. "I sure had a hard time saying what I meant at first. Still, I wouldn't mind singing again with you sometimes too! So, will you be mine, songbird?"

Sparrow was still in shock. Then he slowly nodded. ”As long as you don't keep me caged, I will be your songbird.” He smiled and blushed. ”If I am your songbird, ehat does that make you?”

"It makes me a very, very happy Zune!" Kerensa replied, nuzzling against him. "I look forward to the future then. It seems to be just as bright as I imagined. If you want, you're welcome to come and see my place any time. It's not much, just a small apartment room, but I like it. Here's the address..." Still feeling overjoyed, she gave him the name and building number of the apartment, then added with a yawn, "I'm actually feeling a bit worn out from all this excitement. I should probably rest a bit before heading to the house. Thank you for such a wonderful day!" With that, she curled up next to him, and soon drifted off into a contented sleep.

He still could not believe what had happened. He had a beautiful girl curled up beside him and he was the one that made her happy. It was sudden. But who was he to reject what had happened. He smiled softly and placed a wing over her. He hummed her tune along with the mockingbird. He rested her head on her and slept to, he knew the birds would wake him if there was trouble.
