Maximus continued into the town, before someone came along and guided him towards the middle of the town. They gave him the few details that they knew, which wasn't much. He was lead to the cage that they had it in. He approached the cage slowly, doing his best to make the others believe that he was the old mage.

Nami raised her head as a Human approached. He smelled of magic, of spells. She could see right through his disguise. Still she was afraid. Nami did not wish to die.

Maximus knew what it was from the moment he laid eyes on it. He walked around the cage looking it over and trying to figure out what to do. How to get her out of her alive, without killing anyone? Shapeshifter were getting rather rare these days and he didn't like the thought of anyone being erased. He told the town that he would need to be alone with it to kill the demon without any harm to anyone. They listened to him and moved the cage into a house towards the edge of the town.

Personality: His job has made him cold and self-centred. Without a sense of family or kin of any sort, earning his pay is all he cares about and he’ll do whatever it takes to get it. He does not lose his temper easily, but is very proud of his battle skills and will not tolerate abuse.

Weapon(s): Throwing knives and hatchets, as well as a dagger for close combat.

Skills: Excellent aim with thrown weapons, and able to combine dagger attacks and punches for effective close combat. Deep knowledge of mercenary and assassination work, and other criminal dealings. Good at traversing rocky/mountainous terrain.

Story:  Sempri earned a high rank among the military forces in the Dwarven city while in his twenties, still incredibly young for a Dwarf. When his brother turned traitor and joined a small rebel army, Sempri was forced to kill him by their own father in order to maintain their family’s honour. Disillusioned with his family, and the Dwarven people who allowed such a thing to happen, Sempri left his life behind and turned to bounty hunting and assassination. He does not know why his targets are chosen: he kills not because of race or alliances or honour, but only to get paid. The war has caused rifts between many powerful people, and made more work for him, leading him all across Aynor.

Maximus watched as they left him alone with her in the house. He locked the door and quickly throw out a spell to keep the others out. He disabled the spell that was making him looking like the old mage and pointed towards the meat. "Last I heard Shapeshifters don't like their meat rare. Would you like me to heat that up for you?" He asked as he kept his eyes on her.

"Yes" Maximus said as he slowly walked around the room, he was checking what was there. Seeing nothing that would cause trouble, he snapped his fingers and made the cage open. "If you want to get out of here alive you will need to listen to me."

Nami slunk out of the cage on all fours. "I'd rather kill them all than slink away," she growled. "Don't you dare cast any magic on me. I do not like it."

That wasn't as I planned. He thought to himself. The woman he was dragging out of town had screamed. He needed the blood though. He killed her instantly after she screamed. Hopefully he didn't blow his hiding spot.
