Avahk asked a simple, innocent question that made Fuu pause- if only because the little one was so enthusiastic, would the simple truth be disappointing? Perhaps, but it might be better that way.
"I was just on my way to the waterhole," he said with a small smile, "It's not a very busy day for me today."

Well. That was incredibly...mundane. And normal. And something everybody did. The juvenile supposed that it was slightly more special because of Fuu doing it, but it still seemed so...bland. And boring.
"I see," he answered. "Can I go with?" That would make it cooler, if he could go with Fuu! Maybe there was some secret to being cool that only Fuu could have.
It could be...right?

Avahk's disappointment was predictable but inevitable, if not now then later. Fuu was OK seeming normal, he kind of missed it. He'd always been part of nobility but it was different here since he was going to be king.
"Of course you can come," he said brightly, "But I can't promise anything interesting will happen there."
Who knows, though?

"All right then!" Avahk replied, perking right up at the permission to accompany his favorite adult to the watering hole. "I'm sure something awesome will happen anyway," he told the purple male.
It had to be cool. Fuu would be there, right?

Hmmm, good enough. It was nice to have a friend, at least, even if it was a juvenile who idolized him. The only real reservation he had was that Avahk was Yareha's son and Yareha probably wouldn't like it. But Avahk was out on his own and he wasn't exactly choosing dangerous adventures.
"Let's go," he said, smiling and starting back on his way.
Fin!
