She started rebuilding. Her arms were starting to feel sore, her back was threatening to complain, but she ignored all of that. Before this she hadn't realized how heavy hay really could be--and with a light weapon like Izy, she didn't really have a ton of heavy lifting in her workout routine.

That needed to change, she thought as she finished.

And the shadowlings hit again, and again, but didn't break the defense that she'd built. For a moment she just looked at the Aliester clone, a little grin pulling at her lips. She wasn't a moony, of course, she wasn't going to brag about it. But she'd done a decent job over all.

She still regretted that first round, she thought. But she'd learned something from that and from her try with the bricks.

Izy asked.

"I think I want a hot shower," Syd agreed. "Hopefully Allan Tight show hasn't used up all the hot water this time."
