Valdien braced himself. He could take this scrawny yearling's damage, no sweat. Blue eyes glittered as the Azrein lifted his wings, preparing to slide out of the way.
Of course, Val was never too good at dodging unless he was airborne. He took Kai's vicious horn strike with stoicism.

Valdien snorts, shaking off the stallion's attack, though it definitely still hurt quite a bit. Grimacing, the Guardian of the Greater Herd leaped once more aloft, rushing towards Kai Darksun in a Sonic Wing Attack.

This was bad. He had landed a beautifully executed Horn Toss and now he was going to pay for it as the enreaged stallion started doing something with his wings and from the dreadful look in his eye it was going to be critical. Well he had dodged before he could do it again.
