The way Ariel squealed 'everything' make Drashi chuckle, was he always this enthusiastic about everything?

Cake in hand he followed Ariel... wow, they must have looked like a right pair. Tall and short. Black leathers verse far more 'ordinary' clothes, though they definitely had a flare of individuality. Total opposites, at least from the outside. Drashi didn't really know too much to say for sure, after all he had moments when he was just as eccentric....

His eyes wandered around the room, and he found himself drawn to the window, grabbing a chair, whatever chair, was there. Turned out to be a sofa, and as his body all but melted into the old but well kept material he couldn't help but feel a little more comfortable. Drashi was still a little surprised that he had set this all into motion, usually one to keep himself to himself he rarely initiated first meetings like this... though he had to admit he was glad he did.

"So... while we wait," He took off the tip of his fudge cake with a fork and prepared to eat it once he was done speaking, "Tell me a little about yourself." He wasn't probing for any 'intimate' details, knowing all too well that he rarely shared his own painful past... so it wasn't fair to ask such things of others. Drashi had grown accustom to accepting secrets from others, it helped to keep a distance between them. "I noticed the book about Wales, planning a trip?"

Invidia Ochii
Yeah smile though I am sure Drashi would have gotten that out of him eventually too XD hehehe.

Ariel followed, sitting on his knees at the other end of the couch. So much comfy laced in this couch. He smiled, nodding alright.
"But first, you have to tell me where you got those pants." He said pointing to Drashi's legs with a bit of smirk. Ariel loved leather although he didn't wear it often he had fun when he did, and he needed a new pair of pants to add to his collection, so to say. Most of his were lace up the sides with designs on the inside of the leg or on the back, so the blue dragon along the side was something he found lovely. Plus something that was different that didn't make him look easy was always a nice plus you couldn't just turn down.

"Oh, by the gods I wish! I don't really travel, but I like research and I've been doing a lot on Italy, don't ask me why, but they didn't have any new books for them so I thought 'lets find something new!' and I found Wales." Smiling, he talked about how much he'd learned so far, but was disappointed when they didn't have anything new for him to grab. It wasn't long before their drinks were brought to them and that got Ariel started on the summer he worked at a coffee house back in his home city and the difference in his coffee and Drashi's."Oh, gods. I've been talking so much, I'm sorry... You should tell me a bit about yourself, before I take over again." He said taking a few sips from his press.

Ariel was good at talking and moving around. He had shifted from sitting on his knees to sitting with one of them up to his chest and the other almost reaching Drashi and his legs. The realization of how much he was talking made his cheeks flush a bit. He hadn't talked that much with, or rather to, someone he just met in a while, in fact he hadn't even talked that much with people he knew well , at least not in a long time.

"But first, you have to tell me where you got those pants." He chuckled at that, "Ah yes, I did lure you with that didn't I." He smiled, leaning back into the sofa as he spoke. "They are made a friend of mine, custom design but I am sure he could whip you up something awesome if you were interested. He runs a little store called 'Howlers' up on East Common Lane, it's a nice store, right next door to a motorcycle store." Not the one Drashi's current bike was from, but his first was.... he could still remember his first beauty, it make have been a second hand piece of crap to the rest of the world, but to a guy who had never felt freedom before it was... heaven.

Sipping his coffee he listened happily to Ariel, and couldn't help but wonder why the guy only researched travelling rather than going out and doing so... was something... or maybe someone... holding him back? Still, the stories he was told were interesting, and had Drashi laughing from time to time. It was strange to feel so at ease with a near total stranger.

"Not much to tell. I am a nurse for children's burn unit at the local hospital, work twelve hour shifts so don't get out much. The book store donates books every now and then to the suite, which is what I was doing today. You can probably guess that I have a soft spot for my bike... feel like flying." He admitted, surprising himself at having actually revealed something personal.

"Eh...." He stalled, not sure what to say or do now. "Is there anything in particular you want to know?" He sipped his coffee again, trying his best to hide the blush that had appeared on his cheeks. Drashi was far from the best at this.

Ariel made note of the name. Howlers. He'd have to check it out soon. Of course they were custom, Drashi didn't seem like the type to wear something more than a few people would wear. Independence is a good thing.

Children's burn..unit? He couldn't help but think how awful it must be to see a child like that. It made his chest hurt a bit, but not out of any real heartache or anything mental. Thoughts like those made his chest physically burn in pain, too bad he couldn't remember why.
"Tell me more about what it's like to ride." He asked. After all this time he was still so curious about them, but couldn't get over the fear of crashing to ride one.

Ariel smiled.
"Tell me about your family, your favorite color and season, anything!" He said taking another sip of his drink his smile never fading, just growing as his opposite talked. It was nice to just kinda be with someone, not together, just there. It made Ariel laugh at how you could be so comfortable with a stranger, because they don't know you and so all your secrets are still safe. It was a dangerously nice feeling.

"Tell me more about what it's like to ride." He hesitated, but decided it would be weird not to answer... after all, he had been the one to originally bring it up. "Free. It's the only way to really describe it, and I mean really describe it. The wind blowing past you, the weaving in and out... yeah.... so... eh..." He sipped again, not really knowing what else to say.

Drashi was glad when Ariel started to speak again, at least until the words actually processed. Why did everyone always ask about family first... ok, so it was probably normal for that happen since most people had a family. "Eh...." He put down his coffee, using it as a stall, while his free fist clenched a little. A tender subject even to those who already knew what had happened. He couldn't believe he was about to say what he was about to say.... "My family.... died in a fire when I was a kid." Probably told Ariel everything he needed to know about why he worked where he worked. "Not really close to the rest of my family any more... but having a kid dumped on your isn't exactly what anyone wants." With that he fell silent for a while. He was not going to cry... he wasn't....

"Sorry." He finally said. Forcing himself back to composure. "Colour... blue." He smirked, trying his best to flirt despite the downer on hid mood. "Season... winter, feels like everything is given a fresh start. Eh... I like dragons, but that is probably obvious given the get up."

After that he fell silent, picking up his coffee again and looking out of the window. He knew it was rude... but he just needed a moment. It had been years, but it still hurt like it was only yesterday.

"I'd love to feel something like that..." He said looking down at his coffee. He didn't feel trapped exactly, but a bit limited by his fear. One day he'd get over it. Ariel looked at Drashi with pain in his eyes. He just brought up a bad past that was hard to talk about and he could understand. He help out his cup.
"Cheers. To children with parent lost."
His smile was sad, but still there. He was silent along with Drashi. There really isn't much you can say to someone who's in pain over that type of lose.

He shook his head at the apology.
"Don't. Nothing to apologize for. Smiling again as he listened to him talk he laughed a bit and nodded at the get up comment. Too true. Too true.
He scooted closer and laid his head on Drashis shoulder.
"In situations like these there isn't really anything a person can say to make them feel better.. So, you just tell them the truth. That sucks, it really does and I'm so sorry, but I can understand. Although not in the same way, I can. It took me a while to realize this, but keeping all your pain and fear bottled up wont, no, can't help you. It only makes things worse.." Ariel took another sip of his drink and decided to stay quite. He couldn't help, but remember what he did when she was finally given up on. A whole year of clubbing, drug abuse, and never sleeping alone. Practically crying himself to sleep when someone wasn't with him on the rare nights he had to stay home, because of sickness due to never slowing down. He hit rock bottom and stayed there for so long, until he was finally bricked with the truth. Although still not at his best, he's doing much better. You would think being a bar tender after his life would be hard, but he never really had a drinking problem, or that much of a drug problem. His personality isn't in most ways an addictive one, so stopping cold turkey wasn't very hard, and being sucked back in hasn't been much of a problem. The problem was resetting his sleep habits and then learning to be alone.

He hadn't been on an actual date during the day or just with someone since he was in high school. So, trying not to pick Drashi up was finding itself to be difficult. He had such soft hair and such a nice body... Whoa. Ok, Ok, Ariel keep your mind where it belongs in, in your head not your pants. Gods, what was he? A hooker on a street corner!

"I'd love to feel something like that..." Drashi smiled softly at that. "You said... if I could get you on it.... you would go for a ride..." He chuckled softly, "I may just have an idea. But I won't tell you just yet." Of course, that was simply assuming they actually met again... since right now they were still in the 'getting to know ya' stage, sure they obviously had a physical attraction to each other, but that didn't always count for everything.

"Cheers. To children with parent lost." He tilted his mug towards the others, a 'clink' sound as the ceramic mugs struck each other. Still, it took a moment for Drashi to turn his attention back towards Ariel. He needed to be in control again, he didn't want to have a breakdown out here in the open.... as far as the world was concerned he was 'cold' and 'distant'... even getting awarded the name of the 'cold prince' at work. He was lovely with the children, but not so much with his colleagues after work. What was the point though? They may actually try to get close to him. Drashi couldn't lose someone else he loved. It would kill him.

He listened to the other's kind words, feeling much more composed after watching the world go by. There was something about watching everyone go one as if nothing was different or painful that calmed him. People spotting. It was amazing just what you could see when you sat back and simply observed.

Despite himself, Drashi found himself smiling at Ariel's actions, turning with a soft movement that sent his pony tail flying over his shoulder to see the guy nestled there. He had to admit... the man looked good there. "Thanks. I'm ok.... I try not to think about it... ya know." This was the first time he had met someone who was in a similar situation, at least that he knew about, when you didn't ask questions about that sort of thing you remained rather oblivious.

"So.... now that I have killed that particular conversation..." He grinned, though it didn't really reach his eyes since he was half thinking about the past. "How about I start us over...?" He looked down at the guy, really not sure what to say since he didn't often initiate these things.... most of the time, those he slept with where simply due to his body needed attention so he let others hit on him. This was different though, he could feel that. "What do you do?" He couldn't recall hearing Ariel share that with him, and he was curious. He got the impression of a model... though maybe not since he was rather small... a bar tender or a waiter.... or something showmanship-ly... after all, he was rather outgoing.

Ariel thought about this for a moment. "I still vote for talking about it, buuuut I get it." He laughed a bit. He did a lot, laughing and giggling, making things into jokes. It was his way coping with things. If you can laugh at them they're easier to deal with.
"Hahaha! Oh, golly! You kinda did kill that conversation didn't you?" Now he couldn't stop laughing. Setting his drink on the table he tried to calm himself down, but failed, only really able to get out an 'I'm not sure why I'm laughing so bloody hard!" through gasp of air when he could breathe a bit. After a few minutes he finally did stop, but not without some side hurting, standing up, then sitting back down.

When he was calm he went back to sitting crisscross at the other end of the couch.
"I'm really sorry, I don't know why that was so funny, or rather why I was laughing... I do a dog walking/sitting business and I bar-tend at Orange." He shurgged. "Not the most glamorous jobs, but they're fun and pay the bills." Ariel smiled and looked down at his cup. He loved taking care of those dogs, although he didn't have to work at the bar, he liked being around people like that. Just watching and serving. He made enough money watching dogs, much higher in demand than you'd think. Cheaper than a kenall and nicer because it's such one on one service. You get paid well, even if the family can't pay you much it's always better than nothing.

Drashi was taken a little bad by Ariel's reaction and found himself slumping a little into his chair as if trying to move away. It was a long time since he had heard some laugh so hard, yet as he watched it more and more he came to realise that... well, the guy was actually rather cute when he laughed and smiled.

When Ariel finally sat back down Drashi smiled softly over at him and leaned forward to lean on his legs. His fingers playing with the rim of his mug. "Sounds interesting.... you must be busy." He found himself laughing as the guy mentioned his job wasn't 'glamorous'.... "Tell me about it," he said. "They should just call use Mr. Vomit and Mr. Dog Poo... hey? I think I get vomitted on at least three times a week." He didn't mind, the kids didn't always react very well to the pain meds... and sometimes eating was rather a challenge, so it wasn't really all that surprising.

Picking up his mug he drank more of it. Not really sure what to say now.... he suddenly felt very much out of his comfort zone.

Ariel shrugged. "Not to bad, actually. I have only a few regulars and they're at times that I don't usually have anything going on." He sweetly smiled at Drashi. He couldn't help but think about how cute Drashi was when he gave a smile. He looked down at his mug then glanced back up when he started getting awful pet names.
Acting mad he gave a pout and told him to shush! He couldn't hold the pout for long, before he started smiling.
"I don't get so much vomit, it's mostly pee or diarrhea... Especially with the young ones or trouble makers." He gave a half hearted, one shoulder, sarcastic shrug.

He started thinking what was worse? Child vomit or dog diarrhea? Now he had to ask, so he did. Although that would be an awkward question for someone else, with what those two did for jobs it was something any person like Ariel would ask and hopefully any person like Drashi, or Drashi himself, would answer without giving out to many disturbed looks.

He took another sip of his drink, but found he had taken the last of it a few moments before.
"Aww.."

"I don't get so much vomit, it's mostly pee or diarrhea... Especially with the young ones or trouble makers." Drashi chuckled at that, "Mr Vomit was me," He admitted, "The drugs tend to induce the stuff, plus... well, it can be a shock when we reveal the burn." He looked down at his drink then; not really wanting to remember it too much. Sometimes you had to force yourself to be a little detached... it was that or you simply wouldn't be able to get yourself up in the morning and manage a smile.

"Vomit..." He said without hesitation, "I think vomit is worst." He smiled then, pushing his darker thought to one side while he tried to focus on the here and now. He was sat next to a cutey. He wasn't at work, and in his bike was a fresh supply of new books. Today wasn't a bad day. "It smells." He said, drinking from his drink in an effort to make himself settle down a little while.

"Aww.." He looked over at the guy to see that he pretty much drunk all of his drink. "Want me to go grab you another?" He offered, "Or are you planning to use it as an excuse to leave?" He laughed, putting on a bravo he really didn't feel. "Am I that boring?" He asked with a wink, but deep down he really was dreading that was the case... wow, he was useless at this kind of thing.
