"Yes."
Sasha lifted an eyebrow at the look he gave her before turning back to her potato peeling. "I don't remember a lot of my younger years. Like.. around three, things start getting fuzzy. The first time I saw something I wish I'd never seen - that I remember - I was like. Four. I don't know."
She cleared her throat when Marcus spoke of having kids with Cass. She didn't have the heart to explain to him what she'd recently learned. It wasn't really her place, anyway.
"It is pretty unfortunate, I guess. I mean. I didn't really leave anyone behind, but I just recently learned I had family that I wasn't aware of."

A frown. "Wow that...sucks. Eghhh." Another potato pulled out to wash, the last one of that bag. only this one had sprouts, earning a toss back in the bag. "One bag almost down." Picking up the peeler, he went back to the task of skinning.
"I left behind my folks but honestly, I kind of doubt they know I'm dead. I didn't exactly want to stay around them. But new family..." Technically he didn't know s**t about his dad. He was curious, but, that was a moot point. "Can't exactly see them though right? Dead is dead and.. coming back from the dead isn't really an option."

Sasha shrugged, tossing her peeled potato into the pile with the rest of them.
"They probably don't even know I exist," she said softly, shrugging again. "And yes, dead is dead. It's forever."
Sasha fell silent, clearing her throat.
"How do you like being a Moon?"

They were down to the last few..of the first bag. Looking at the others, he debated how much trouble they would get in for ditching after one bag. Honestly, probably not a whole lot as the hunter that grabbed him more or less had no idea who he was. They could get away with it...maybe.
As she cleared her throat, he figured the subject drop was good. "I've gotten better. Not letting people get their s**t kicked in as much anymore, but, I still have bad luck almost killing other trainees in spars." He sighed. "I think I've sent at least 5 people to the infirmary, Gale god knows how many times." A chuckle, "Gale did kick my a** though later, just took a few times."

Sasha hummed softly as she peeled, lifting her eyebrows when she finished up her current potato. Before she reached for the next one, Sasha braced her elbows on her knees and glanced over at Marcus.
"I've ... I haven't been sparring as much as I should be. I'm.. I don't mind fighting the bad guys, but beating up on one another doesn't really appeal to me as much as it should, I guess. I.. I don't know."
She shrugged and reached for the last scrubbed potato.
"Are there more to wash?"

They had the two bags left and well- Marcus couldn't ditch Sasha to do it all but... he did want to be done. Seeing her looking at him like that however and talk of sparring made him grin. Even if he sent trainees to the infirmary, he still liked to challenge them.
"Have you ever tried a few rounds of breaking someone's defense?" ripping Open the second bag he was simply running on automatic, cleaning off the spuds without thinking about the whole ditch thing. "It's a bit tedious but the goal is to break past a person's defense, or, to be able to defend from an attack. It's more a moon thing for the defensive part, but for those wanting a bit of fighting experience, it's good because they have to figure out how to get past an enemy who might be shielded."
A quick motion to the bag and then... "We should ditch for training. It's a valid excuse."
