Following after him, she felt... Different. Deep down, it felt different. What was so different about this feeling? She didn't know. They arrived at the spot they were to have their picnic together. A nice shady spot under a beautiful tree. Aira let a small smile come across her muzzle as she watched Orion set up the blanket, food and the like. This was going to be a wonderful picnic. There was lots of great food and not to mention... A very nice guy with her.
She set her book to the side and took a seat. She saw Orion getting his plate ready, so she grabbed her one. She tossed a medium slice of steak on it, a little bit of salad... "Where's the peh--" Aira had looked up to ask where the pepper was, but instead caught Orion looking at her- their eyes had met! Blushing, she quickly looked back down to her plate, shakily and nervously getting a few more things for her salad.

Aria caught him staring at her. She looked away... He could have just messed up. He knew it was rude to stare. But he just couldn't help it. He frowned inwardly for being rude. She seemed to have wanted pepper. He reached into the basket and gave it to her with out looking.
Head still down he ate. "I didn't mean to stare like that... I'm sorry." Only his eyes looked up, hoping she wasn't mad at him.

"N-no! It's... I-it's okay, r-really. I..." She peeked up with her eyes to see the pepper being held out to her and took it with a shaky paw. "I just... Just didn't e-expect you to u-uh be... Er... L-looking at m-me..." Aira tilted her head up to look at him, blushing hard. She had no clue what to think about him looking at her.
She shook the pepper onto her steak to get it ready for nomming. Perhaps her tad bit of shakiness would go away very quickly. After all, he was just... Looking at her. Nothing too big, after all. Just looking.

"Sorry.... I wasn't trying to be rude." He blushed slightly an watched her. "H-has anyone ever said how beautiful your eyes are?" He chuckled softly. "Blue is my favorite color." He looked back down, he wasn't lying to her. He was still smiling and was still a little red in the face.

"I-i-it's f-fine." The shakiness had calmed down a bit. Just in time for him to compliment her.
She felt her heart stop for a moment before thumping harshly, beating faster than before. Her thoughts had a quick flash over to one of the stories she had read before. This was seeming more and more like a romance novel with each second they were together. Aira shook her head to snap herself back into reality. 'Don't b-be so silly!' she thought to herself in a hurry. Clearing her throat, she opened her mouth to speak.
"Th-th-thank... Thank you. N-no... One has... E-e-ever... Complimented m-m-m-me." Aira stuttered out as she reached up to her feather necklace, lightly fanning herself with it in hopes it would calm her down some.

"Really? That's a shame.. you really are lovely." He gave he a soft, slightly awkward smile. He looked up and saw the sun was starting to set. "It's getting late. May I have the honor of walking you home?" He got up and bowed at her, chuckling a bit.

Aira blushed some more at the compliment. She had never taken the time to really think herself as lovely, or anything more than that. This really was different for her yet at the same time... She's been reading about things like this, so she should have been prepared for something like this.
"Th-thank you, a-again. I..." She laughed sweetly yet nervously. There was nothing she could really say, she had no clue WHAT to say, really. Was she supposed to compliment back? Or just take the compliments?
Her attention turned to the sky. "O-oh, it is..." shyly, she looked back to Orion and gave a small smile. "S-sure. I mean... I-i'm kind of scared to go alone a-after... That happened and all." she was referring to the three thug men. The poor girl was still shaken from that, but not shaken enough to let it effect her in a noticeable way.

He gave her a soft, reassuring smile. "Don't worry about that. They wouldn't dare comming at you again. Trust me." He went ahead and packed the picnic. He packed in silence, he didn't know what else to say to her. He glanced occasionally at her, only to look straight back down again. His stomach felt odd each time he did.
When he was finished he picked up the basket. It was much lighter now that that had eaten. "Would you lead the way, Mi'lady?" He bowed and gestured infront of him. A light smile playing on his lips.
He was rather eager to see where she lived. He was already plotting to send her little things to make her day better. Flowers... Gifts... He had a new drive. One to make sure this girl was the happiest. He wondered what his father would say to him. He was sure his mother would be proud too.

Aira gave a light smile as he said that. She felt safer with him, more assured that she wouldn't get hurt or anything. As he packed the picnic, she awkwardly looked around, and took occasional peeks at him herself unaware that he was looking her occasionally too. This love story was so much like the ones in her books. The picnic, the man protecting her, the shy peeking at him...
As he spoke, she snapped out of her thoughts and blushed again. 'That's so silly! H-he's just your friend... You JUST met, too! No way he likes you like that... No way!' Even her thoughts were like in the books. "O-oh! Sure." She looked around for which way to go. "It's th-this way." nodding in the direction she had looked, Aira began to walk only to stop to look behind her to assure he was following her.

He cracked a smile. They were heading in the direction where he lived as well. Could they have been neighbors and he not known? He was sure that one as lovely as Aira would be noticed, not only by him, but by his father. Celestian liked pointing out potential women, none which seemed to catch Orion's eye.
His mind started to wander. He kept to Aira's side, he kept wondering how close they might live together.

Aira continued on her way once Orion was by her side. For some reason, having this male by her side not only made her feel safer bit it... Made her heart race a little. She ignored the rushing thoughts that wanted to come up into her head as she took note of her heart skipping. These thoughts didn't want to leave her alone, though. they kept trying to sneak up on her. Luckily for her, though, they had arrived at her place.
"O-oh uh, were here." She said as she walked up to her door. The female turned around with her back now to the door. Again, this... THIS was in a movie she had seen! But why... Why did she keep thinking like that? She shook her head at herself. "Well uh... I guess this is where we say bye?" Aira asked with a frown on her muzzle.

His thoughts were interrupted quickly. He looked around, he knew where was. Then he looked Aira in front of a door which must have been to her home. He tried hard to hide a frown. "O-oh... Right." He felt his stomach turn into tight knots. He didn't want to say bye to her.
"Aria... This doesn't have to be good-bye." He gazed into her eyes. He gulped and stepped closer to her and without thinking. He kissed her. He didn't know for how long, he was lost in the moment. When the kiss broke he whispered to her. "It is a see you tomorrow." With that he slipped away down the street and around the corner to his own home.

The blue female didn't know what to expect as he got closer. Maybe just a simple, friendly hug goodbye. But no... He kissed her? Her eyes went wide for a second before slowly closing, as she embraced the kiss. She had no control over it, she just... Took it as her body commanded. It was like her mind and all her hopeless romantic-ness had taken control of this moment.
Then, the kiss broke and her eyes shot open. Her breathing was slightly heavy as her heart was beating faster than it had ever beat before. Just like in the books. Just like in the movies. It ALL rushed to her. ALL of it. This day was real, it wasn't a dream. She had tried to wake up earlier in the day. But couldn't. Aira couldn't believe she just lived her own little chapter of a beginning romance... If it even was that. What if he was just toying with her? Who knew...
She couldn't find the breath to speak before Orion had left, but the words he whispered to her... Left her looking forward to the next day. Not that she had never looked forward to a new day but... Tomorrow would be different.
