“Yeah,” Kaida agreed, with a bob of her head, “That is nowhere near as effective as my super special signature move, the double tail whip!” To prove the super effective nature of her double tail whip, she demonstrated it. It wasn’t directed at her new friend, merely done in front of her. She didn’t want to accidently target the shroomish, even if it wasn’t a damaging attack. After her quick demonstration, she couldn’t help but giggle at Terp’s comment. Of course she had made a name for herself! She was Kaida the multi titled after all! ”I never realized that my fame might cause people to want to throw rocks at me though!” she stated, somewhat surprised. “Maybe they were trying to make a name for themselves? Wanting to be able to brag with their pokemon friends. But yeah! Nothing can penetrate my impenetrable fur coat! It is stronger than a shuckle’s shell.” She had never actually seen a shuckle, but she was sure that was true, it had to be!
“Then we should definitely do it!” Kaida was excited; she had never really had a companion on her adventures before. Maybe the shroomish could be her sidekick! “It is amazing,” she quickly added, “you should come see it sometime! Don’t try and visit it without me, though, it can be quite the maze for those unfamiliar with it. And nothing wrong with the dark, though sometimes, screens on the wall light up, and there are flashing lights that turn off and on. I don’t really know what it all does though…..it is a mystery, even to me.” At that last bit, her voice became quieter, and slower, and she leaned towards Terp. After a moment of dramatic silence, she started giggling. “I think it is just broken stuff that just works enough to turn lights on.” She couldn’t help but be disappointed at the shroomish’s proclamation that it was merely light reflecting off the water. “Well,” she explained, “both really? It depends on how long it has been here and how heavy it is. If it has been here for a while, you might have to dig in a bit. But recent stuff, might be pretty near the surface of the sand; there will likely be a little on top though. The sand is pretty soft.”

Terpsichore watched Kaida's double-tail whip move, enthralled, "I didn't know you could spin your tails like that! You've got a lot of control over them, don't you? It was so graceful!" The girl clapped her frilled hands in response to the demonstration; while she was against battling, she could still appreciate move tactics when not in use for what they were designed for. She snickered at the shiny eevee's confusion before nodding, coming to the same end result herself, "Yeah, maybe that was it. If you've made such a name for yourself, maybe others want to take that title themselves. Beat the best and that's what you become, right?" It was silly, but that's how it seemed some ego-driven people thought. She shrugged in reaction, not understanding brutes, "Oh well, they're not going to get anywhere if they keep trying it like that! Hehe, maybe the silver in your coat is actually threaded steel, wouldn't that be something?" It certainly almost seemed to shine like that!
If Terpsichore was a more hyperactive pokémon, she'd probably have found herself bouncing in place at the plan -- she was trying to be more proper than that! It was hard to be when one was excited, though. "I bet it's absolutely gorgeous! I will most certainly see it sometime if I go with you, now won't I? It would probably be more fun to see it with a friend anyway!" she responded matter-of-factly, her grin brimming. It always seemed to feel more special, more real, when someone was there to share in the experience. "Flashing lights, huh?" Terpsichore echoed, pondering that over, "It sounds like some sort of computer system, but what would that be doing there? And why would it turn on and off like that..? It sounds creepy!" She wasn't too familiar with technology, unfortunately, so she had no idea if there was something more obviously fitting to that sort of description. The girl felt a shiver run up her spine at Kaida's narrative, but giggled, "That's probably it. It's not like it would be a ghost or something!" She hoped she didn't just jinx anything with that comment.
She kicked her feet in the water a bit more where she had seen the surface sparkle off the water, determining her next course of action as she took in the shiny mutant's directive. "Ahh, okay, I got it, then, El Capitan!" she saluted. She had started giggling again, but it was cut short when the kicking of her feet was halted with a pull at one of her toes, "Aah, what's that!?" While she sounded worried, it was more out of sudden surprise than fear. Pulling her foot back toward her, she released her foot from the clenches of what appeared to be... "Fishing line?" What was that doing in a stream so shallow? "There are no fish here... are there?"

“Why thank you,” Kaida replied with a proud look upon her face, “I do have a lot of control. Control of one’s body is important! Can’t have them moving about all over the place!” At that last statement, she moved her tails about randomly, as if they had gone out of control. “See, that wouldn’t be good at all!” Back to a more serious topic of discussion, “That does seem likely, someone is trying to steal one of my many titles! How dare he?! Oh well, I have nothing to worry about; it isn’t like someone could succeed at that!” At Terp’s comment about her fur, Kaida couldn’t help but look over her own coat. “It is as strong as steel….you might be onto something there! Kaida the Steel coated! Steel tempered in the hottest of forges; steel that is even resistant to fire and fighting types!”
“You definitely will!” Kaida proclaimed making a pose, “We will have a great time!” When Kaida thought about it, despite being so amazing, she didn’t really have much in the way of friends. Terpsichore was right; it would be more fun with a friend! “Yeah it is probably some half broken human technology. I don’t really know much about it…But it’s not really creepy. Definitely not a ghost though! I am the only one living there, not any ghost types!” Leaning low, in an about to charge pose, “If there were, I would chase them off!”
Fishing line? Really?” Kaida inquired as she bent down to get a better look. “I have never seen anyone fishing here? Are you sure that’s what it is?” She had no idea how that could have gotten there. Unless, maybe it had flown down the river? This area was so secluded; people never came out here!”

Terpsichore snickered at Kaida's exuberance, as the dual-tailed shiny eevee seemed to be fueled by her innocent pride into a more chipper hyperactivity. The girl had not run into many others that worked in such a manner, but she was reminded how much of a pleasure it was to converse with someone that preferred to stay happy. "Being able to control your own body like that is important, and difficult for most people to do very well! You, however, are a pro!" Terpsichore agreed, finding the task challenging for herself as well, especially when such humanesque body structure was so new to her. However, Kaida had ample time to get used to wielding her own tails so effortlessly, being born like that! It gave her more experience in such areas, and also assured the shroomish-girl that the small eevee had nothing to worry about in the face of such oppression as someone who may or may not be attempting a grab at one of her numerous names. "Yeah, I think whoever it was that tried to attack you should be scared themselves. After all, how else would you have earned the title, if not from earning it the honest way?" she scoffed; obviously, Kaida was much more honorable than that! The girl giggled at Kaida's new title proclamation, "It's quite befitting, I like it! Maybe toting that name around, people would think twice about throwing rocks to someone who would be unfazed by it!"
Terpsichore had never gone spelunking before, and in fact had avoided caves in the past -- not because she was scared of them, but because she never thought she'd find anything worthwhile within one. Now that the idea was imposed on her, and with a friend nonetheless, it was immensely more enticing. "I can't wait for the adventure! I can't say I've been on one in a long while, so I'm really looking forward to it!" the shroomish exclaimed giddily. Her concern all but evaporated with the reassurance that the blinking lights weren't scary, "Hehe! You're right, if it were a ghost, they'd probably know better than to mess with you. Well that's good! If it's not creepy, then it must be something less mischievous like that. It's too bad I don't know of any electricians... that could solve the problem." She sighed at the thought, but figured she could keep her eyes peeled throughout her travels.
Attempting to unknot the wire-like line, the girl gave an idle nod in response. The river seemed too small to go fishing in, unless it was just because the water levels were down for the time of year, but Kaida seemed positive that no fishing went on around here. The child glanced back into the water, in case there was something else with the fishing line that she may have missed. "Maybe a water-type pokémon brought it up here, or it was carried this far by the stream. It's probably the same for anything else that you find in the water that was man-made. Or maybe it was a hiker that didn't know what he was doing..." she rattled off, trying to make heads or tails of it before shrugging, "Oh well, either way, maybe it's a good sign. Perhaps we can find all sorts of weird things in here, if we look hard enough!" Too bad nothing was on the other end of the line, though, that would have been interesting if it was a marker for something buried or otherwise hidden! It seemed like the line broke, though.

“Yes, how could one expect to complete great deeds, if they can’t even control themself?” Hopping in place, Kaida continued, “Yes! Whoever that attacker is, they should be afraid! How dare they try and sully my name with such flimsy rocks. !” Kaida really was enjoying the other girls praise, but it was to be expected for one as great as she!
“Yeah! I’m not afraid of no ghosts! They are afraid of me! Kaida! Buster of ghosts!” Kaida couldn’t help but strike a heroic pose, her head held hide, at her last remark. The spectral did not cause even the slightest amount of fear in her! “You should really go on more adventures then,” she commented, and then added, without really thinking, “They are quite adventurous!”
“Maybe…though what would a water type want with a fishing line?” Pausing for a moment, her eyes widened, “Unless someone tried to catch it…” Shaking her head, she decided to move elsewhere in the conversation. The mechanics of fishing and its effects on Water types wasn’t something that seemed pleasant to speak of, though she imagined it had to happen. “Yes, you are right, who knows what treasures we might find here! There could even be gold or jewels! Proper treasure!” Without realizing it, her tails began wagging back and forth; the thought of all that treasure excited the eevee girl.

"That could get very dangerous, for all involved, I can say that much!" Terpsichore responded sternly, a bit worried for anyone in the area if someone had tried to be so reckless as something they didn't have most -- if not complete -- control of. It was like playing with fire, and they weren't the only ones in danger of being burned! Thinking on the idea, the shroomish-girl voiced a concern, "What are you going to do if you happen to run into that rock-thrower again? The world seems to be smaller than what I had originally thought it was, in my travels. I'm not sure if it's because I've gotten so much taller or not, though." While Kaida, one-of-many-names, was sure to be fine, she couldn't shake that worry that she could get herself hurt if she wasn't careful. Airborne rocks were dangerous!
Terpsichore giggled at Kaida's proclamation as a ghostbuster, "You're going to have to show me how to stand up to a ghost sometime, then. I never could figure out how you're supposed to protect yourself against something that you can't touch! I mean, how are you going to if you can't physically protect yourself? And what if they don't listen to reason?" Her questions were not cast of doubt, but merely an eagerness to learn -- these were all things she had wondered before and never got the answers to! The grin nearly split clear across her face at the mention of adventures, but she urged herself not to laugh at Kaida's choice of adjectives, "I'll be sure to take those words to heart. It's as good an excuse as any to team up with you again for more of it!" Well, this was... sort of an adventure, even if they weren't going on some grand journey of discovery or anything.
Speaking of discovery, it was then that the shroomish-girl caught the other end of the broken fishing line, finding it most certainly stuck on something beneath the surface. She frowned as she tugged, opting to give up and dig under the surface herself with an extending of an arm; she didn't mind her tank top getting a little wet in the process. As she searched with her hand, following the line, she formulated her reply, "Well, maybe they were carrying something on the end of the fishing line if they were traveling, like a bag. Or maybe they were pulling a little boat!" Okay, now her imagination was just making her say stranger and stranger things. Oblivious to the uncomfortableness that Kaida had been feeling with the direction the conversation was going, she easily slid into the altered subject, "That would be really cool, if we could find something like that! Maybe--" Just then, Terpsichore almost toppled over into the river with another tug at a string that refused to budge, and she flailed to keep her balance, crouched over the river, with the hand that wasn't currently engulfed in the water. Once her composure was corrected, she used her free hand to pull a rock off of the line instead of trying to pull them both together, and out of the river popped... something she hadn't truly been expecting to see. Wide-eyed and seated back down, the shroomish slowly turned to the metallic eevee with necklace in hand, a fishing hook caught in one of the ruby beads. "I, uh..." she was still in disbelief, "I think I found something you might like!"
