There was a strange creature lurking about, trying to gather information. One that looked and appeared very much human.

He'd been standing off to the side, among the shadows as his mismatched gaze took in those slowly gathering around. It had not been his original intent to be drawn into a crowd at this time. No, not when he was on the hunt. Yet...he couldn't deny that those gathered here might save him some of the trouble in searching for the ones that had disappeared.

The mysterious man moved carefully through the growing crowd, long blonde hair braided against his back instead of flowing freely, as was his typical choice in wearing his hair. His usual clothing was also absent today, a simple long sleeved shirt and pants outfit taking its place. Clearly, the blonde man was keeping his profile low and blending in with the humans.

"And to where have the kidnapped been taken, I wonder?" The blonde murmured to himself, hooded gaze traveling among several people close by. Some of which he was quite positive were witch eaters. Though not like himself.

No. There are no others like me or my twin. He thought to himself.

Giving pause, Remiel let his eyes meet those of one particular familiar face. As he met Miusa's eyes, a sly smile curled his lips before he disappeared amongst the crowd.

"Say, excuse me, dear sir. What's the updated word on the missing persons?" Remiel drawled as he approached one of the two witch eaters - with blue hair - voice holding a slight accent that was not typical of him. If there was any discomfort or annoyance at being surrounded by Cerberus Knights in the blonde haired man, Remiel didn't show it. Though he made no effort to go near them either.

"Or has there even been any new word? Aside from 'so and so has been kidnapped'?"

[Because apparently I need to add this now, this is an introduction to a new meta character. There will be more information on him available soon.]

Sneaking a cookie into her mouth, Yvette gave both Cerberus Knights and the leviathan Ars Lilium who had just joined them a small smile, listening to the exchange of words as she munched on the cookie before deciding to chip in. "What I've heard is about the same as what Aodhan here has just shared." A brief pause during which she tilted her head towards the knight whom she had worked with previously to indicate who she was referring to and then she continued. "Witches and witchlings mysteriously gone missing or taken against their will, all at about the same time. Timing's a little too close for them to be mere random incidents."

"Poena Privus?" The surprise was obvious in her voice when the headquarters of the Reaper Organization was brought up in the discussion. Oh dear. This could be bad. It wasn't as if they needed any more animosity to tip the delicate relationship they currently shared with the reapers/Blackhearts into a full scale hostility and truthfully speaking, she would rather prefer to have this piece of information confirmed prior to taking it upon themselves to storm into Poena Privus to rescue anybody. Short of a direct order from the Royal Family which she highly doubted was ever going to happen.

"Do we have any confirmation at all that the reapers or Blackhearts are directly involved in this?" It was her duty to serve the people of Lilium of course, but Yvette was not going to cross the fine line between duty and stupidity by acting simply because someone thought he/she saw a reaper or Blackheart committing the act. Things were not adding up if they were targeting both humans and majins alike.

Aeronwen had heard much about people being abducted. Quite interested in this, she decided that she would find out how she could....'help.' She made her way to the Summoner's Hall in Moonfall and slipped inside, a doll carried in one arm to help her see. Who could possibly think overmuch of a small, blind teenager holding a doll?

Folding herself into a corner, she shifted her doll around to give her an idea of what was going on. There were a couple Witch Eaters that stood out to her as sore thumbs in this group of Knights and Ars Liliums. One pair of men stood out to her; a blue haired Witch Eater who was talking with a pale Cereberus Knight. It was such a strange occurrence, it stole her attention from the talk of the kidnapping. Why would such a pair acknowledge each other and yet...it didn't seem that the Knight was going to out the Witch Eater... hmm. Curious~

She thought about moving closer, enough to catch what they were speaking about and before she realized that she'd decided, she was already moving. She slid across the wall, using the stone to hide her small wings and giving the illusion that she was well and truly blind instead of the reality where she was using the puppet she carried to guide her way to the pair that had intrigued her so. Until the Knight moved away, back to where he belonged. She paused then, to watch the blue haired Witch Eater, eyes narrowing a bit though it didn't diminish her sight. She watched as he joined a female Witch Eater all in black and green. Still curious as to how so many of her kind had managed to infiltrate such a place, she moved closer, wanting to hear what they were speaking about. Deeper in her conscious, she wanted to know why the blue haired Witch Eater and the blonde Cerberus Knight kept looking at each other...

All this crisis going on and apparently the ones in charge had only decided something had to be done, but had no idea what. Rosel had the brief notion of bursting in and taking over the whole mess, sarcasm and guns blazing. Why not, after all? Wouldn’t it be a gas, witch eaters working with Cerberus knights? If only they knew what she and Kian were… Assuming Kian had been discreet about his identity, but the way he and that blue-eyed knight kept eying each other, it was entirely possible he hadn’t.

Speak of the devil.

”Well hello there, sweetheart. Keeping well, I hope?” She and Kian both turned to watch the fidgeting group of knights, now plus one ars lilium. ”Who knows what those nutjobs are up to. Could be another plot to expose those terrible witch eaters? Or maybe they just wanted a slumber party? They could be putting makeup on each other as we speak.”

A man with long blonde hair suddenly sidled up to Kian, on the opposite side from her. He gave no introduction or acknowledgement of her presence, and she crossed one hand under her elbow as she stared irritably at him. Tapping her long fingernails on her shoulder, she glanced quickly at the knights and waited for Kian to respond. She could swear she felt the witch eater aura from this stranger, but it could have just been coming from Kian…

Aodhan laughed as the ars lilium shot off questions, one after another. The earnest concern in those pretty eyes was quite intriguing. Aodhan noticed himself staring for just a second too long. Flustered with himself, his eyes snapped over to Kian, thinking about Branek, and then back to the present. 'Jesus, I'm a piece of work...' he thought as he shifted his weight.

"We have an idea on who the culprits are, but we're not exactly excited about it. Poena Privus... Hence, I'm sure that's where our hesitation comes from. Relations with them are already shaky at best, but why am I rambling on what you know already." He flashed one of his most endearing smiles before thinking on the other questions this ars had asked. "We're not sure...how...or even why. Humans and majin both, Poena Privus..." He looked to the other male knight standing there with them, looking for confirmation. Aodhan had to be a leader many a time in battle, but right now, he really hoped someone else would take that role. This was a delicate situation, and he knew his emotions would heavily impact the mission. He wanted those kids and witches out of there, and he'd kill anyone who got in his way. That...would be irrational and suicidal, he was sure. Yet anger was still pulsing in his veins, even if he kept his cool to the group he was with.

While Aodhan always treasured his emotions, and allowed them to run free, it didn't mean it didn't come with a negative side. Kian's life was testimony to that... He looked over at that blue haired witch eater, a bit of confusion in his eyes. He noticed a group was beginning to gather around him. Testimony to how dangerous he really was... Kian may not raise a finger against others, but he certainly got other witches to do his dirty work easy enough...

This was bad...All of this was very bad, but he still prayed that the other knights wouldn't notice the group, conjuring in the corner... He prayed that harder than the safety of the witches and students who had been taken... While they didn't know what they were, he could guess pretty easy, being Kian was with them.

He snapped out of his head, coming back to the present, listening to Yvette. "If the sages say it's true..." He let the end of that sentence dangle in the air like meat in front of a dog. He didn't like this outcome either, but what was done was done. "We need more than just us...we need a team. If we're going to do this...It can't just be us four, maybe six if you two sages come with us, but we need more than that..." His eyes turned to Kian and his group of gathering witch eaters. Maybe he could come up with a ...strange alliance with them. He was good at that...

You know, befriending the enemy... He laughed to himself. 'Great, I'm beginning to make this a habit...'

"Excuse me, everyone, he said even before they had a moment to agree or disagree with him. He could feel his heart pounding inside its bony prison; screaming and shrieking at him to go back to his group, and not do this...but his feet kept walking.

He stood not but a foot away from Kian. While he wasn't entirely sure what exactly these others were or their relation to Kian, he figured at best, they weren't good company. Kian didn't seem to keep good company... well, then there was Aodhan...

"We need your help...if you'd lend it. You may be s**t for battle, but your mind is made for this. I think we're going to infiltrate Poena Privus. We want this done discreetly, or at least...I want this done discreetly, and involving all the knights and ars just could get messy. If things go wrong...Well, you know what I'm thinking." If things went wrong...they needed someone to blame, and Kian seemed to always want to take the blame... He was good at running, he was good at thinking and much, much worse,

He was good at winning...

So Aodhan waited, shamed he was begging for the help of a witch eater and shamed his secret was going to out itself if he continued down this path. He knew they'd all be watching him. If anything, they'd all be confused for sure.

Kian gave a polite nod, with a hint of a smile, as Rosel spoke. He was keeping well. His eyes traveled back to Aodhan. He could see the knight squirming. Oh he was keeping very well indeed. "I'm fantastic, and all this just makes me brimming with enthusiasm." He laughed at her jokes. Seeing blackhearts putting makeup on terrified witches was quite amusing... He suddenly wished it were true. It'd make for an interesting observation. "You say terrible as if it weren't true... I for one know full well what I am, and if they want that stereotype, I'll certainly give it to them." A dangerous look crossed his eyes, like a wolf evaluating prey.

He was going to speak again, but a man with a long, blonde braid came up to him. Kian's blue eyes shifted to Rosel. He wondered if she'd be annoyed that this man clearly didn't acknowledge she was even there... That too, would make for interesting observations... And as if it were scripted, she showed her annoyance; earning a small smile from Kian.

"If you want all the details, go up to that knight, the blonde one." He'd love to see that... Aodhan would probably have a mental break down due to just stress. The poor knight over thought everything... As long as Kian stayed here, away from him, and nothing "funny" happened, all would be well, at least for Aodhan, but Kian wanted to throw anything at the knight that would make him shake. He was so adorable all high strung, afterall. "But, from what I know, some majin and human witches and witchlings were abducted, and now the whispers seem to indicate Blackhearts and Reapers. Interesting, isn't it? The ones these people look to for protection, are slowly crumbling around them. I'll bet the knights ******** up eventually too. Wouldn't that be cute." Kian knew full well he was speaking a bit...negatively about everything, but why not? What did he have to hide? As if on cue, his wings twitched under his shirt. He'd stay hidden... Only because that's how he went through life, not just because that blonde knight told him too...

His eyes shifted once more as a girl with a doll came into view. She seemed to catch the silent exchanges between himself and Aodhan. Clever... He was about to move to her, when he saw Aodhan break from his group, and walk in his direction.

Kian tried to hide his shock, but if he really succeeded, that was for the others to tell, and would forever be unknown to himself. He listened to the knight, his brows furrowing a bit, looking to the blonde man and Rosel, wondering what they were thinking.

"If it goes wrong, you want to blame witch eaters for it..." He wanted that sentence to be heard by Rosel, and if the blonde heard, well, he wanted him to hear it as well. He wished the girl with the doll was closer, and wondered if her hearing was better than her blind eyes.

"You admit that to me, and I'll help you. You cower behind your silence, and I'll call you a fool and go about my day. I came here because I was curious, but my curiosity is at its end, Aodhan. If you want your safety blanket, you best not withhold your intentions to my kind." He hadn't meant to be so mean, but the sting of Aodhan's threat prior still hung in the air between them and Kian was anything if not bitter and shallow.

Miusa leaned in close to the group of knights, trying hard to keep her voice hushed but loud enough for them to hear. "This is a tender situation," she began, her brows furrowing as she exchanged looks between Yvette, Monet, Aodhan and Kailash. (If I forgot a knight hit me I just woke up |3) "One I really don't want to get involved in, but it looks like there isn't much choice in the matter."

Miusa, the girl lost to time, had long ago vowed to herself never again to interfere in the comings and goings of the lives around her, the one exception being those under the title of 'student', the children who needed some form of distant protection. Once they became something other than students, witches, the protection would disappear, but in this incident, those borders had become melded together, since some who were taken were still under her 'care'.

"To be honest, I've never been to Poena Privus since its resurrection," the words slipped from her mouth casually, though anybody who really thought about what she had said would have found it strange, considering Poena Privus had been resurrected as a place of habitat nearly a century or more ago. "I'm certain it is well guarded by the Blackhearts and Reapers who dwell within, but if it is verily true that they have abducted human and majin witches without any sort of consent or reasoning, we will have to take matters into our own hands. I volunteer to go to Poena Privus to reclaim the whelps, but if it's all the same to you, I'd really rather not go alone, especially considering I'm not an official device of authority."

As she turned her face to glance at the growing and scuffling crowd, her eyes met familiar ones, ones that sent a sudden and alarming chill down her back as she briefly looked into the face of Remiel, another like herself, lost to time, and one of her only true yet troublesome friends. As quickly as she saw him, she lost sight of him, and her face became quite flustered, almost agitated as she turned back to the knights she had huddled around her. He's up to something sneaky, god damn it.

"I-I pr..propose we act swiftly and strike hard, and take volunteers who aren't afraid they may be quite...injured."

Monet's eyes had flickered to the female knight briefly to give her a half-hearted smile, and went on to take a look at those who had gathered once more. Sure were a lot of attractive fella's here... for a split second his mind began to wander, but swiftly snapped back to the task at hand. There was no time for checking out the hunks! This was a time of action, and urgency!

His attention redirected to Aodhan quick enough, giving subtle nods as the explanation was given. Bright eyes widened in surprise. Poena Privus...? What in the world?! His eyes flicked back towards the Female knight, showing his clear shock. All the younger members of society getting swept up... regardless of their being human or majin... what could that mean? Perhaps an army? Or a means of gaining leverage for something they wanted? Tail giving a sharp jerk, mulling internally, those pretty blue brows furrowed again in concentration. There really weren't enough of them here as is... he noticed the two groups, the one he was in, and the unknown witch eaters, but... still, it hardly seemed like this would be reasonable enough in taking on a force that was able to gather up so many youngsters!

The Ars Lilum gazed back at little Aodhan, a more natural calmness easing back onto his features. It was good to at least see that the guy was taking this just as seriously as the leviathan.

However... the Ars looked over to a woman who suddenly seemed to have appeared at his side out of no where. Stepping a little out of the way, he looked to Miusa curiously. It seemed she was quite in the know about all of this as well... and he began to piece together her given information as well as Aodhan's. It just confirmed one thing. They needed to get going. and Stat!

"I'm all in, miss." he assured, glancing to the knights, "Though there are a few knights with us, and but two of us Ars Lilum, I still fear that our numbers may be too small, don't you think?" he asked her with slight worry.

Remiel felt his back tingle and twitch. The wings that wanted so desperately to spread out of irritation couldn't. Not while he wore this...guise. A simple illusion to make him appear more human to the eyes of those around him. But he was irritated. Lacking some of his usual playful attitude. Except when it came to Miusa, of course! He'd allowed her to know he was present. Which would probably set her on edge and make her much more likely to be less secretive in this situation. Something he was hoping for, as it would allow him to gather information much easier.

Those mismatched eyes - one light green, one blue - glanced back at the boy he'd approached after flashing his darling white lily a smile. His lips twitched. Oh he liked this blue haired witch eater! This one had potential in him.

Remiel made a face. "If it's all the same to you, my dear. I'd rather not stick my nose anywhere in their presence." His eyes did take in the knight he spoke of. A curious and thoughtful look crossed his face before disappearing. He'd remember that knight. Perhaps he could use him later?

"Oh it was those nuisances!" He chuckled, tapping his chin. "I thought as much, seeing as the Knights are here~"

And then he realized his most outrageous mistake today. He had completely and utterly been rude to a beautiful young lady! There was a moment where Remiel all but stopped breathing as he met Rosel's eyes. Then the Remiel that certain someone's knew and despised loved sprang forth.

"By my heart, forgive me darling! I do not know how I could have been so ungentlemanly!" The blonde man bowed to the female witch eater, putting on the full charm. "Please accept this small and embarrassingly unworthy token of forgiveness." Remiel gently took her hand and placed a light press of his lips to the back, eyes flickering up to wink at her before he moved out of the way as they were joined by another.

The interesting knight his blue-haired companion had pointed out.

Even more interesting, was what said Knight said.

This just took on a whole new level of exciting~ He thought, gaze traveling past the small group to look at where Miusa stood. The smile that slid along his lips was not a trusting one.

And then Remiel laughed, mismatched eyes pinning the one called Aodhan. Something flickered in his gaze that would send an uncomfortable chill down the poor Knight's spine. His grin was sinister yet playful at the same time.

"Of course they want to blame the witch eaters!" Remiel laughed. "Because if they took the darker route and tried to kill us, they'd be no better than the Blackhearts." He tilted his head, the words the Knight had spoken slowly working around in his mind. "Sneaking into Poena Privus...that would definitely piss off the Blackhearts. And I have been so curious as to what lurks within its walls..." The witch eater seemed to be speaking to himself, though he made no effort to keep it silent or under his breath.

"Tell me, good Knight, Aodhan. Have your fellows thought of a way to break in yet?"

As much as she respected Kian for such a bold acceptance of their inescapable nature, witch eaters that favored the violence over the charm and deception of their nature made her nervous. “I don’t mind their presence, so long as it’s just curiosity and not a hunt. I like my life as it is, not living in fear of every knight that walks by, wondering if they’re tailing me to catch me in an alleyway. Everyone loves some good violence, but no sense in announcing our deepest secret to the world.” The conversation made her antsy, all this talk about knights and it not being about how good they look in armor.

Luckily, the new witch eater saved turned the conversation to one more pleasant. A genuine, but still sly, smile crept over her face at his little act. She knew this scene. It wasn’t much different from the one she used on her prey all the time. She pressed the kissed hand to her cheek and winked audaciously. ”Aren’t you the charmer? I couldn’t stay mad at a sweetheart like you. Rosel, dear.” She loved that game and certainly could have played it all night, but they were interrupted. Another time, perhaps.

My, wasn’t Kian popular with the blondes tonight. First her, then this other blonde witch eater, and now the blonde knight he’d been making eyes at all night… This one though, he obviously knew Kian was a witch eater, and…was asking for help? Now the other one to Kian’s right just outright admitted what he was. What was wrong with these men? The thought of two witch eaters talking to a woman who wasn’t one was a bit farfetched, so they’d essentially just handed over her secret. She couldn't very well play the shocked and appalled human companion at this point in the juncture. The hair rose on the back of her neck and she straightened, doing her best to feel the inches her heels gave her over the diminutive knight.

Keeping her voice down, she jerked her head at the pair to her left. ”These two seem to trust you a great deal to just hand over our secret, despite the fact that you are going to blame us for this fiasco. And how do we know you’re not going to use us as bait, or worse, a bargaining chip for those little brats? I’m all for a bit of sneaking around, especially to see what those nutjobs are up to, but how do we know we can trust you?” The question was to the knight, but she looked curiously at Kian. What had happened between these two that made them trust each other?

Aodhan shifted, his usual, cool, happy blue eyes freezing with fear, like ice. Kian had backed him into a corner, and what made it worse, was that these others were now clarified as witch eaters, and while he would certainly not out their secret, it still made his fingers twitch for his hammer.

"I want no one killed, if possible," he said to the blonde male. It probably didn't douse any negativity that seemed to be coming from this group, but maybe it showed that he wasn't trying to corner them into a trap either? "And no, we haven't just yet. I expect we'd want everyone who was going to be joining us to all be in on the plan, or maybe we'd all devise them on our own. I can't really give you a firm answer right now."

But when the female witch eater began shooting off her concerns, Aodhan really didn't know how to answer. If it was his mission, he'd grant amnesty; maybe he could even bargain with the higher ups about it later in the event the witch eaters really do pull through for them. He couldn't guarantee absolutely anything right now. He shifted on his feet, feeling like he was being surrounded by wolves. Kian was a giant compared to him, in fact, so was the other male, and even the female surpassed him in height. He felt foolish, and like a child.

"You are not bait. My companions at this point don't even know what I'm doing, but the sage, Musia, she's okay with us getting volunteers, and that's all you'd be. In the presence of other kings or ars, don't show your wings, or anything that could give you out as a witch eater and I'll never open my mouth about you being what you are." He turned back to Kian, a look in his eyes he hadn't had in a long time; desperation, and admiration. He admired Kian, he always had. The witch eater was confident within himself and his abilities, even though he couldn't fight worth s**t. It was that mind though... And that's what made this so frightening to the knight. He wanted to trust Kian... He always had wanted to. And at one point...

He wouldn't even think about that right now. Past relations or not, what mattered now was saving those who were taken. "Kian, I'm not going to pin this on you. It was the reapers and the blackhearts to begin with. If someone dies though, unfortunately, it'd be easier to stomach a witch eater killer than a blackheart. Even you understand that, logically? Right?" He was grasping at the witch eater like a child in the dark, desperately trying to reason with him. The blonde witch eater seemed easy enough to persuade, with personal gain, and maybe the female witch eather's worries could be silenced for awhile, making her comply, but Kian had nothing to gain, for he had nothing to lose. In their time of knowing each other, Kian didn't do anything for himself... directly... Thus was why Aodhan felt his feet tingling with anticipation as he waited for him to make up his mind.
PostPosted: Sun May 13, 2012 3:11 pm

Kian listened quietly to his new companions, Rosel, and the male blonde He hadn't given his name yet, which Kian really didn't care about, as he'd not given his, however, he was certain the other knew it from Aodhan's chatter.

His blue eye followed speaking mouths as he listened to Rosel's concerns and the blonde witch eater's acceptance of the idea. He smirked at Rosel's reluctance and need for security. Such a woman...

He raised a thin brow as Aodhan directed his comments to Kian. The witch eater shrugged, looking over at the girl with the doll again; just observing...

"Logically, it makes sense." He leaned back against the wall, looking at his feet for a moment, thinking about the situation over and over, analyzing every possible outcome and weighing the consequences, dangers, and even the gains. "You want volunteers, you've got me. But don't expect for a second I'll listen to you, or your stupid knightly brothers..." He moved closer, pressing his lips to the blonde's ear. "It was they who wanted me dead after all..." He stepped back, smoothing out Aodhan's hair with his hands, almost lovingly, but his eye held nothing but a blank, sinister stare.

"So, I guess I join you and yours then?" He looked to Rosel, and the blonde man, evaluating both of them for a moment. He'd certainly want them around. Kian was far aware he had no fighting skills, just small suggestions that seemed to work when he wanted people to go kill themselves...

"I do hope you come with me, Rosel. I'd like a woman like you around in there. But if you'd excuse me for a moment, there's someone else who's caught my eye." He bowed his head politely to both Remiel and Rosel, before turning to Aodhan, sporting a sinister smile.

"How does it feel to be a dusty toy, shoved into a corner?" He kissed the man on the cheek, yet it held all the icy and bitter-venom his expression held whenever he looked at the knight.

Feeling rather smug with his display, he walked over to that girl...the girl with the strange doll... He had someone else to collect before he joined with the group of "volunteers."

She was not amused. No, amusement was in fact not on the docket for today's events. At all.

Étaín was angry enough to actually feel heat in her normally-chilled cheeks. She had been traveling with a group of witchlings for some training in Moonfall---well, not with them, with them; honestly she had not even bothered to ask their names---but now none of them were to be found and they were supposed to be returning to Makai. They should have left hours ago. Now, she had wasted the entire morning waiting for the group and not one of them had appeared or left word of whether or not they had traveled ahead or...nothing. How. Rude. If she had known they were so thoughtless, she would have simply returned to the academy on her own.

That was her plan now, truth be told. But she had been courteous enough to leave a brief note at the inn in which the group had stayed, in case the others did return there. Idiots.

Indigo eyes flashed with further annoyance when the square she was attempting to pass through was full of milling, angsty townsfolk. She had been ignoring the murmurs and the random, panicked passersby in the streets between here and the inn, but now, she could all but taste the fear and panic in the air. The Summoner's Hall loomed ahead, so that was obviously where the crowd had been or was trying to get to. She had vaguely wanted to see the Hall before leaving, Moonfall was not on her list of places she frequented, but now she had the sinking feeling this was a poor route choice. Stuck in the crowd, with nothing better to do, Étaín finally listened in on some of the conversations...

Rogue Blackhearts? Captured youths? Plotting Knights? That might explain the absence of her classmates; good thing she had spent as little time with them as possible, wasn't it? Though, if they really had been taken by Blackhearts, well---the lucky fools were in Poena Privus, weren't they. She would walk those secretive halls one day, carrying a scythe and the right to cut down any of the foolish, contemptible Majin who could not control their power and appetite...someday. If she got very, very lucky and kept one very minor secret.

Annoyance dispersed as the girl made her way into a small side door of the Summoner's Hall. Étaín lingered against the wall, watching and listening as the famed Miusa addressed the assembled Knights and some potential volunteers. They were going to try and infiltrate Poena Privus...absolutely fascinating. She knew her youthful, inexperienced presence would not be needed, appreciated, or possibly even tolerated; but to be able to sneak inside the home of the Reapers... if she could manage to steal along for the ride, the adventure was well-worth the risk. But that was probably a rather large 'If.'

Aeronwen crept closer to the blue haired man, his connection to the blonde Knight terribly fascinating to her. She paused for a moment when she caught his gaze falling on her, but then he looked away again and Aeronwen moved closer still, enough for her sharp ears to catch his conversation with the Knight. She tried to keep attention off of her by turning her face in another direction while her 'eyes,' her doll, stayed focused on the odd pair.

They were awful close for a moment, and the kiss given to the Knight served to fascinate the blind girl further. She felt she had to find out more about that man and what it was that brought him so close to the blonde Knight.

However, she wanted this to happen on her terms. And her terms did not include him coming over to her right now. Except that's what was happening. Face still turned away, she watched as the blue haired man came closer, her mind racing. She tried not to move her face though the habit was still there to turn and look at him though she could already see him.

When he was but a few feet away, she turned her face to him though she kept it slightly off of where his face is. She was playing up her 'blindness,' hoping to be underestimated by everyone.

"Is there a problem?" she asked him softly, her voice barely discernible over the other conversations in the room. She shifted her weight back and forth, trying to look nervous as if she didn't know he was another like her and not a Knight that had come to kick the blind girl out for being worthless to their cause.

Maelie had been sitting in the corner, her body upright and eyes closed, a doll sitting on her lap. Little did they all know she was actually within the doll observing everything and contemplating her own moves. Apparently reapers or blackhearts were kidnapping children for no clear reason. Well, to them at least.

Her eyes wandered from the family members and friends of the victims to that of her Ars Lilium counterparts and the few Cerberus Knights that were there as well. They could very easily storm Poena Privus and demand the stolen children to be returned by whoever had taken them, however, it seemed like that might not be the smartest idea. With a very silent chant of words Maelie's soul returned to her body.

Her green eyes focused on the only familiar face in the room, Rosel. Maelie briefly wondered if she should gravitate towards her. Before she had to much time to debate over it she stood up and smoothed out her dress. It was better if she gathered more information before making a hasty decision. Maybe Rosel and her counterparts would know something or at the very least have some sort of game plan. With a slow but steady stride Maelie made her way to witch eater and then placed herself at her side. "It seems we meet again." Maelie said in her usual flat tone. However, it seemed she at least wanted to talk to the girl. "Are you and your... friends creating a search party?" Maelie asked with the slightest hint of curiosity seeping into her voice.

Sure they were hardly acquainted with one another but Rosel seemed well enough. Maybe that was just her wishful thinking. Then again, Maelie could get along with most people.
