"Neat! If there are any bird pokemon out here I'll be after them, but I don't think there are. It's too cold here, none of my birds like it." The swablu on her head shivered in response. Way too cold!
Sienna's boots followed the same mush, crunch, crunch, mush pattern as Claramay's "We're actually just crossing through here on a journey across the region," The bird keeper told her, "My team's been a bit unruly lately, and I thought taking them on a hike through the region would even them out a bit, plus they need the experience. I want to be a gym leader," She finished her story. There was a rare pang of glumness on the topic of becoming a gym leader.
"Before I left, I was in a tournament where I could've become one...But we lost," Her face darkened momentarily, but her cheery auroa snapped back, "It's not all bad though! Like I said experience is always good and this has been quite an adventure so far," She grinned.

Cetus huffed a sideways laugh to the idea of bird Pokemon being in the vicinity. It troubled her mind to even know there was wild Pokemon living in such a climate. Nature was such a confusing mistress with the things she created . . .
"Ah, you were in a tournament? What did you place?" Cetus tried to play the question off as more conversational banter to continue their talk. In reality, her tone hid a bit of flummoxed worry. If this girl placed high in the competition placings, she was likely a skilled battler. For a thief lacking in battle skills, it'd be hard for her to defend herself if Sienna discovered her true motives and attacked her.
"That's quite interesting though. You must be quite the battler even though you lost." She chuckled a bit under her breath then. "I'm actually a coordinator and most of my Pokemon are show Pokemon. Well," Cetus's eyes slid to Mat. "besides this one here and a few others. I-I'm still an amateur, but I've won one ribbon so far . . . "
Just to prove herself, Cetus slid a hand into her pocket and withdrew her ribbon case. She carried around her first win as a good luck token. Though, by the looks of it, it wasn't as lucky as she thought it to be. Tapping the button on the metallic case, it clicked open and revealed an orange ribbon. "It's from a contest in Katarina and my first win, hehe."

"I...Didn't place, really. I got pretty close but there was only really first place." Her eyes grew downcast. The bird keeper had plenty of battle experience, but she had never really been able to hold her own in tournaments. Though she had done a pretty decent job at defeating challengers when she was an assistant at the Katarina Gym.
"Thanks," She smiled, modesty kept her from saying so but she liked to think she was a good battler. She could only get better though! "That's really neat! I don't know many coordinators."
Sienna's green eyes widened in amazement, a contest ribbon! "So cool! Congrats!" She grinned and couldn't get over how cool it was.
Suddenly the bird keeper spotted something flying their way, a black feathered body that stood out quite starkly in this land of white. "Oh, that looks like Enide, I wonder if she found something," Murkrow were experts at finding shiny things, and while the missing things were that shiny, she was bound to find something.

There was a registration of relief on the Galactic grunt's face when she heard the girl didn't place. Unfortunately, that was followed by a look of intense concern yet again. This girl was still a battler, something she most certainly was not. All Cetus had to do was keep her cool (aha). Doing so wouldn't bring about any suspicion . . .
Cetus felt a swell of embarrassment rise in her bosom. "Oh, thanks," she said, combing a hand to the back of her head as the other pushed her ribbon case back from whence it came. "I-I'm not that amazing. There were three winners . . . not one like your battle competition. I just got lucky?"
Her dark teal eyes snapped over to the speck of black flying amidst the ever colorful world of white. When the feathered form became apparent, Cetus figured it was one of Sienna's bird Pokemon. "Did she? Let's go!" The glee that came with knowing one of her Pokemon was possibly found enthralled her. She ran off ahead, leaving Mat behind, with hopes that it might be a better member of her party.

"I'm sure there was more than just luck to it!" Sienna complimented before the other girl started running. The bird keeper trudged as quickly through the snow as she could and without disturbing the Swablu on her head too much.
Enide's body began to grow until she was right in front of the pair. Sienna stopped running as the Murkrow landed in the snow. "" She squawked, head bobbing. She proudly held up a belt clutched in her talon. "Great job Enide! I really hope that's your's," She said to Claramay. The bird keeper received the belt from her bird. She held it out to the other girl, "Is it your's?"

Cetus gave a just nod. "Yep!" she chimed like the ding of a clock. Extending her hand, she gratefully retrieved the belt from Sienna and latched it around her hips. Counting the balls on her belt, she was utterly relieved to see her entire team there . . . save whoever was missing, of course. It became apparent, however, who the escaped Pokemon was when she suddenly her a loud shatter ricochet across the winter wonderland and tremble the trees so lumps of snow scattered from their branches (and promptly onto Cetus's chilly head). Shaking her stale green locks, she turned and caught her ears upon a familiar burbling cry.
"Oh Arceus, no-" she breathed, but knew it was too late.
"WARBLE!" The Tentacruel was slashing his tentacles this way and that; throwing his typical tantrum when his gorgeous, beloved, most wonderful owner in the world was not within sight. With flames raging in his eyes and with only the ability to see red, Rak was beyond comprehension.

"Yay!" Sienna celebrated, she was very glad they finally found her belt. The rest of her flock was returning quickly. They landed quietly and softly in the snow as Claramay put her belt on. Most of them began preening, glad for the flight they had been deprived of thus far on their journey, though some (mainly Frey) were a little disgruntled it was for such an annoying task.
Sienna's celebration was cut short however, when suddenly a Tentacruel came rampaging across the area. The bird keeper was dumbfounded, how was there a Tentacruel all the way out here - oh. It must have been Claramay's. "Uhh! What should we do?" She asked nervously.

Cetus strained her lips to a thin, thin line. "I'm not sure," she confessed, bringing a hand up and scratching the underside of her bun. "Rak is rarely, ah-!"
The Tentacruel slammed his flailing limb onto a tree and more snow fell on Cetus, burying her under a thick, wet blanket. She raised herself to her feet carefully, dusting the powdery, cold substance off of the grey thermal covering her knee. "I rarely let my Pokemon out of his Pokeball because he gets like well -- that -- when I am not around."
"Maro, Marowak."
"Ah, right. Abandonment issues." Cetus nodded. She thought for another moment than pipped up with a thought. "Mat, d'ya think you can-"
The elderly Ground-type considered her with a look that spoke, "Do I look like raging idiot? I know you are!" The Marowak wasn't going to pit himself against a Tentacruel, not when the cold made his bones brittle and a single Water-type attack could spell his death.
"Oh, welll, Sienna! Does any of your Pokemon know an Electric-type attack like Thunderbolt? Heck, even a Thunderwave to paralyze him would be good. Than I withdraw him into his Pokeball safely."

Sienna avoided the snow drift just in time, and so did her birds. The girl nodded, thinking quickly of her team's move sets. Enide knew Thunder Wave, that should work.
"Enide! Thunder Wave the Tentacruel, quickly!" The Murkrow had been occupying herself by pecking at nothing in particular in the snow. She enjoyed the fluffier, free-floating flakes. But she raised her head as he trainer called her. "Krow krow krow," She replied.
Enide flapped her wings nosily and took off towards the Tentacruel, her body cackling and sparking as she built up electricity. She released it in waves at the Tentacruel as she flew overhead.

The Thunder wave was a spot on hit. Before Rak could even respond consider the Murkrow coming his way, he was paralyzed in place like a solid block of ice. His tentacles, which were once flailing, were outstretched as if he were begging for a hand to help him up. At once, Cetus pounced from the snowy thickets with his Pokeball upset. Despite his inability to move, the Tentacruel's eyes seemed to morph to hearts, and he cried on many, "WARBLES~" towards her. Withdrawing him in one swift move, Cetus let out a sigh of relief, and clipped her ball to her side.
"All right, now I can-" There was a tap at Cetus's heel and her gaze turned to splay on the slightly shivering form of her Marowak, Mat. "Oh, right, sorry." she apologized and removed his own from her belt, pulling him into his sphere. With all of her Pokemon safely tucked away, Cetus smiled at Sienna.
"Thanks for your help," she said, giving a slight bow. "You really helped me out, aha."

"Good job Enide!" The bird keeper praised her Murkrow. Sienna watched happily as her new friend was able to recall the now paralyzed Tentacruel. She was also relieved to have it safely in it's pokeball. "It was nothing really! We were glad to help," Sienna said with a large smile.

(( I guess this is an end? :3 )) Removing the very first Pokeball from her belt, Cetus tapped the button, and a large Pidgeot descended from its shelter. It took a look around its scene, snorted, than gave a bothered sideways glance to its owner full of complete and utter disdain. The Galactic grunt scuttled onto Al's back (the Pidgeot squawking when she accidentally pulled a loose feather) and settled herself before descending into the sky, giving a backhand wave to Sienna as she flew back to base.

((Yup :3!)) Sienna waved good-bye to the other trainer as she took off on her Pidgeot; the rest of her flock raising a wing in farewell. "Take care!" Sienna yelled after Claramay. The rest of her flock looked at her wearily as she turned to look at them after Claramay had become a far away speck in the sky. It was almost sunset, they definitely needed to make it out of the Freezelands by night fall. "This is shaping up to be quite the adventure, huh guys?" She said. "Just this once, we'll fly to our next destination," The birds breathed a sigh of relief, and were off to camp in the place between the Freezelands and the Grasslands.
