Shaking hands? He could manage that, even if he still did not understand the gesture. "I will do it Miss Danny. If this piece of paper helps I will write on it, but either way I will keep my word.
He glanced down at the paper then, trying to see what was needed. Name. Year. Dorm...dorm? "But...can you help me with it?" He said and gestured toward the paper. "I would not wish to mess it up."

Danny tilted her head. "Help you? How?" She looked at the paper, flipping it over a few times. "Is there like a test or something?"

He pointed at the line that said "Dorm." "What do I put there? Monster?" Little did he know that he was pointing to the side of the paper that she would be filling out.

Danny shook her head and said, "No that's like your dorm number." She didn't realize Yin didn't know what a dorm number was.

"The dorms are numbered?" Yin realized that maybe he was not getting the most out of his education at Amityville.

Da fuq is even Yin. "Yeah ... like ... here c'mere." She stood up and set the paper down on his bed, grabbing his wrist and pulling him back out into the hall once more.
Once outside, she pointed up to the number above his door and said, "See? You're 217." She nodded like she was a genius, because let's face it- knowing your dorm room? That makes you a genius.

Yin trailed along easily enough, ready to have this mystery cleared up. And there, right there, it was. 217. He had never bothered to notice it before. "Thank you for showing me Miss Danny," he said, genuinely pleased.
"So...we shall do the form now?"

She beamed a little, then realized he as probably mocking her. Oh Danny just knew he probably already knew about he dorm thing and was just making fun of her now. Oh. Well ... 8C
She hurried back into the dorm hiding her pouting face and mumbled a, "Yeah." She quickly filled out her half of the paper in that stupid bubble script of hers. The signature was the hardest part. Danny hated her full name, and hated writing it in cursive even more.
Danny handed the paper off to him and said, "'Kay your turn."

Miss Danny ran in and just...filled out the form so quickly. He might have been staring at her with a bit of jealousy. When she handed it to him he began to painstakingly fill it out. He had no fancy signature but he wrote out his name carefully, and just copied the words she had put that seemed to be the date. Surely Miss Danny knew that.
When he finally finished he passed the paper back to her. "And now we...shake hands?" This was his first time after all, and he wanted to do it right.

Danny looked at Yin with a smile, happy that he was simply going along with her whims. So few did.
At his question, she bit her lip though. She wasn't really sure how all this worked. She may have been confident on the outside, but on the inside she was terrified of hurting him. The voices in her head seemed to whisper some sort of advice that she couldn't reach, and she almost gave in to them.
"Yeah .... um ... Yin I've never done this before so I'm not really sure what happens." She held out her hand for shaking, cautiously. "So if you don't want to it's okay ..."

Yin gave her a small smile, trying to reassure her. "We both want this Miss Danny, please do not worry about me being hurt. I chose this." With that he reached out and took her hand, clasping it in his.
And then let out a hiss of pain as his left hand began to feel as if it was burning. The burning itch crawling up from where his pinkie was and spreading across the back of his hand, he looked down at it, other hand all but forgotten in Miss Danny's, seeing what looked to be black flames spread, a distinctive black mark staring boldly back at him.
"Is that normal?" he blurted out.

As soon as he let out a hiss, Danny let go of his hand and recoiled, her eyes wide. The words came out as a babbling stream of apologies. "Oh my Jack Yin I'm so sorry are you okay I didn't mean to it was an accident I didn't think it would hurt or anything and oh gosh that tattoo is cool but seriously are you hurt I don't know what I'm doing what's going on oh my jaaaaaaaaack."

Yin finally clued in to the babble that was Miss Danny. "Miss Danny I am fine, really." He brushed it with his free hand, noticing that nothing hand changed other than the color. There was still a dull, itching ache, but as it had not been a literal burn the pain was nothing in comparison.
"So this is a demon mark?" It was interesting, and for some reason he liked the physical symbol of their pact. "I like it Miss Danny. I am glad that I could be your first."

Danny didn't make a sound, her eyes just wide with worry. What if yin died here and now and it was all her fault? WHAT IF-
He seemed to be okay. That was good. He wasn't falling over dead- also good. With trepidation she crept a bit closer and said, "So it's ... it's okay right?" She kept her eyes focused on his hand, right on the deep black mark that she'd made.
Unholy s**t. She'd made that. Even in all her worry, she couldn't help but be a proud that somehow, she'd created something entirely her own. "I ... it's kind of neat," she said with a bit more excitement in her voice. Something more Danny like than the depressed monotony she'd been the entire time.

"Is this marking unique to you?" he questioned, still staring at it. The Mantodae literally had nothing like this, and it fascinated him. He moved his hand so that she could see it better, just now seeing that the mark completely encircled his pinkie.
It was nice that she seemed to approve of it, and he wondered what Alexander would think about it. At that he faltered a bit. Alexander...Alexander still had not tried to contact him. Perhaps this would not mean anything to him at all. But...that was all the more reason for him to treasure the mark. He would do his best to protect those he cared about, and if not, he would do what he could to help them as best he could. And Danny would make sure that Alexander was okay. "Is there anything else I could help you with Miss Danny?"
