"Hm. Society may not like us, and we may break the law more often than not, but that doesn't mean we're the bad guys. I've met cops more despicable than any Team Rocket member. Maybe if you treated him nicely, he'd come around? Gangrel was the same way. He was treated badly by the breeder who owned him before he was assigned to me, and he probably still dislikes Team Rocket for it, but he'll go along with me because we're friends."
Walpurgis laughed nervously. "You must think that sounds incredibly stupid, huh."

"Yeah there are people out there far worse than us." Doyle said, "As for Akakios.... he's fine with me as long as we're just wandering around. It's just for missions that he acts up. I suppose it means he makes a difference between me and the 'rocket version' of me. Or something like that." He shook his head at Walpurgis' last comment. "Nah if anything was stupid it would have been what I just said." He paused looking around and listening. They were getting closer to the rendezvous spot and he wanted to make sure that Ark was giving any kind of signal that someone or somethings might be nearby. So far the coast was clear.

"Heh. Fine walking around, but not breaking the law, huh? Reminds me of someone." Walpurgis stopped to wait for Doyle. "Is that zorua giving you a signal, or something? I can stay here and fend off the pursuit, if you like. Despite our showing in the hirings, Gangrel and Satori are pretty good fighters."

Doyle nodded. "Yeah he hates breaking the law." He said pausing and shook his head, "Nah wanted to make sure she didn't give a signal. Her being quiet means all is well. If she had called out then there would be trouble." He began moving again. Off in the distance was a small group of bushes with a tree. That was the spot they were heading for.
Having made sure the rendezvous spot was clear, Ark was circling back. She kept her eyes and ears open in case she came across something on her way back. She would meet them about half way and then would go on ahead again to make sure it was still clear.

Walpurgis nodded before continuing. "That's a good system you have going. Gangrel, Satori and I tend to just deal with things as they happen, haha." He fell silent once more, having got the feeling they were nearing the destination. He didn't want to compromise the mission, especially one that wasn't his.

"Yeah it is a good system. Me and Ark have had lots of time to perfect it." Doyle replied. He saw Ark pop her head up out of the grass and gave a slight nod. They were now half way there. Ark disappeared and ran off. "We'll be there in a moment. Someone with a vehicle is supposed to meet me.... well us here to pick the stuff up. From there the stuff will be distributed to wherever its needed." He explained so Walpurgis would have an idea of what was going to happen.

"Ah, got it." Walpurgis hoisted the bags over his shoulder, cloak billowing slightly in the night breeze. "Any likelihood of an inconvenience this far out, you think?"

Doyle considered the question for a moment. "No I don't think so. If there would have been an inconvenience we would have run into it already. I think we're in the clear. After all we're almost there and it's just about time for them to arrive." He replied. As if to prove that point a motor could be heard faintly and growing louder. Not to mention the lights in the distance. "In fact I think that may be the pick up."

Walpurgis nodded, but retrieved Satori's pokeball in case of any foul play.
I'm not going to be useless here too.

Soon they caught up to Ark and were at the rendezvous spot. Doyle looked around for a moment to make sure they were alone and then focused on the vehicle that was steadily coming closer. When the booming music finally reached them he groaned. It was that guy again. "Really why do they keep sending him?" He muttered and then sighed. He really hate the pick up grunt they kept sending. The guy thought he was a big shot just because his daddy was a higher up. Yet he had no useful skills to offer, complained all the time, and most often messed up missions. Doyle had been nearly caught several times due to this idiot. Quickly he unloaded his pokemon and then recalled them. "I wouldn't so the idiot your pokemon. He'll just go whining to daddy and you're likely to mysteriously lose them."
((Yeah totally just made up a random grunt character. XP ))

((Heh.))
Walpurgis looked from Doyle to the grunt and back. He sensed some animosity from Doyle, but felt he should lay off the questions, at least for this. Picking up some bags with his free hand, he walked over to the pick up.

The vehicle slammed on it's brakes and stopped far enough away that they had to walk over to drop off the bags. A heavier looking, mid-20s guy stepped out of the truck and looked at the guys. "Well well. The thief couldn't handle the job on his own. Perfect. Have to talk to the higher ups about this." He said pausing for a second, "Oh come on. Quit being so slow about it. I have things that I have to do. Important missions I've been assigned." Suddenly sirens could be heard in the distance as well as flashing lights. "Dang it DOYLE! You led the cops here!" Never mind that the cops were coming from the direction the grunt came from not Doyle.
Doyle glared at the grunt and quickly grabbed the stolen goods. He tossed some in the back of the truck. "Here you take these and get out of here! I'll take the rest to rendezvous spot 3 and have someone more capable pick them up!" He shouted. Shouldering the rest he began running away. "Walpurgis, keep yours and come on. I'll give you a lift." Hearing the truck spin out and then roar away with some cussing, Doyle finally let out Archie and Akakios. "Time to run boys." He yelled hooking up the bags to Archie. He then hopped up and looked to Walpurgis. "He should cooperate enough for you to ride him. He doesn't want to be caught after all."

Walpurgis looked on blankly as the events folded out before him. As the truck screeched away, Walpurgis muttered to himself. "I hate that kind of guy."
He regarded the Zebstrika with a smile, patting him lightly on the nose. "You mind if I ride you for a short time? I'm as uninterested in thievery as you are, but the cops aren't much nicer than a lot of the meaner rockets." Hoping he had received at least a tenuous permission, Walpurgis hopped on to Akakios' back.

Akakios snorted and stomped his feet. He most certainly did not want to get caught. He had heard Archie's horror story of being capture by the police. Once Walpurgis was on he bolted. He ran with all he had and didn't care which way he went as long as it wasn't towards the police. He only got going in the right direction because Ark suddenly appeared and practically herded him.
Doyle pushed Archie into a run after putting his goggles on.It wasn't hard to make Archie run since the bird preferred to run than fly. Noticing that Akakios was starting to go in the wrong direction he sent Ark out. "Ark! Get Akakios back on track. Remember spot 3. If you notice them following bark and then go distract. I'll take over then." He yelled to his Zorua. Ark happily complied nipping at Akakios' heels to get him going in the right direction. After that Doyle pulled out a Xtransceiver and made a call.
"Hey Roger. I need a pick up rendezvous 3. 1 was a failure due to Mike screwing up. He was driving like a moron and attracted the cops. Let me get it in first, Mike pulled the cops in, not me! I know he's going to report it as I did. Anyways he has some cargo, mostly extra stuff." He waited for a moment to get acknowledged and told someone else would be there to pick up the cargo. He then hung up and put the Xtransceiver away.

Walpurgis felt slightly nauseous. He had never ridden a pokemon before, let alone a horse-type. Suddenly he was glad he hadn't eaten dinner yet.
Looking over, Doyle seemed finished with his call, and Walpurgis had made out bits and pieces of it. He made a mental note to vouch for Doyle's story if it came down to it.
