Tashihara Miyamota She looked up into his captivating and striking green eyes and nodded. She did indeed notice something different about him. From what she knew of Vampires, they slept during the day and came out at night. It must be just the opposite for him. Curious. She'd never heard anything about Vampires such as that before. But even she knew that she did not know everything. That was part of the reason why she was here in the castle to begin with was to cease hiding from the human race and learn more from others. To interact. Well, she was interacting. Speaking softly, she answered him.
"Yes Sir I do. From what I know of Vampires they sleep during this time of day and come out at night. In fact, for most Vampires, the daylight means death. Yet your curtains are wide open. Perhaps your blood has a special mutation in it that makes you this way."

The faintest hint of a smile touched his pale lips at her being able to realize it so quickly. She hadn't even needed to look around the room to realize it. "You are correct. For any other vampire their days and nights are the reverse of a human's and the sun would bring their blood to boiling and skin to burning. I, on the other hand, still live by a human schedule and can not enter dark areas. The sun, however, does nothing to injure me. I have researched things like that, but it appears my blood is the same as any other. Everything about me is the same as any other vampire aside from my reaction to light. And...this." As that final word left his lips, the male brought his hand upward and a small tornado formed in the center of his palm. "Such powers are not common but I have met others of my kind with similar abilities. I am the only Daywalker though, or if there were others it was never recorded. So, my dear Tashihara, the reason for my research is to attempt to find another like myself...possibly even a cure. It is rather hard to feed when you;re forced to remain in the light, you see. Especially when there are so few that are willing."
He paused for a moment, letting his eyes wander over her once more. She hadn't run off screaming after finding out he was a vampire, that was a good sign. Taking into consideration all the other things he had learned about her, the man nodded mentally to himself. She would do quite nicely, if she was willing to accept his terms... "Now that you know about me, I have a question for you. You will have until this time tomorrow to decide. You possess qualities that I like, I want you to be my pet. I would expect for you to help me keep things neat here, perhaps help with my research as well. I would also need you to be willing to offer your blood to me at times, once a month at the very least." He had never really phrased it as a question, but he was giving her the choice. What he needed most was not a servant or companion, but a blood donor.

Tashihara Miyamota She nodded from time to time as she listened silently, respectfully, to Zephyr and what he had to say. She didn't stare at him the entire time he spoke. Although she had to admit to herself that it was hard to tear her gaze away from his good looks and entrancing eyes. She instead looked at some of the other books covers. She didn't try to read the overviews of them inside the covers, but she let her eyes scan over the titles and the pictures that may or may not be on the front of some. From time to time she would bring her attention back to his face, and then his eyes. He said he'd done research already on his blood and there was no difference. That was then odd indeed. If it wasn't on a molecular level in him, or a biological level, then she had no idea. Perhaps it was simply an anomaly that he would have to come to terms with and accept. After all, depending on how long he had been alive as a vampire, if he hadn't found anything by now, he may never find an answer. However, she did ponder for a moment if it would be possible for someone to cast a spell on him to shield him from the shadows and the light of the moon and create a day light effect for him. But that raised yet another question; If you hide in the shadows to take someone by surprise at night and drink their blood, why would it matter if they were willing or not? You could do that during the day as well. It could cause a scene either way. She thought this way because of her prior Master/love/and creator who had been a scientist and magic user, so complicated thoughts came easy for her. Clearing her mind of the thoughts, she took in all that he'd said. He had asked her to become his pet. He wanted her to help with a few minor things and be willing to give him blood at least once a month. She let that turn over in her mind for another moment before she smiled lightly. He was giving her a day to decide. She really didn't want to leave and couldn't think of anything that she'd rather do but be in his presence, but she didn't want to seem needy and smothering either. Once again speaking in her soft way, she replied to him;
"Well Sir, if there is nothing wrong on a biological or molecular level with your blood, then perhaps it is an anomaly that you will have to accept and learn to live with. I know that you feel it is harder to find those that are willing during the day, but, what difference does it really make if they are willing or not if you need to feed be it day or night? Both times can cause a scene and struggle and result in the death of the person you feed from. Or is it a matter of morals? Either way I don't see how that could be the case. Be it by day or by night if you're concerned about one being willing then you still have to go about it this way, asking permission of the person you intend to feed from. So perhaps this isn't so bad after all. Only that you can't be in the moonlight or shadows. Out of curiosity, does that mean shadows of any kind even in the day time? In any case, I will consider your proposal as you've asked. But if you don't mind, I would like to continue speaking with you. After all, one day to choose to be someones pet doesn't give a lot of time for them to get to know the person on a personal level and decide if they really want to be committed to the other. However, if it is blood you need...."
She let her words trail off and looked into his eyes, then at his mouth and wondered how he would react to what she was implying. She didn't mind allowing him to feed. If it was something she could do to help him feel more comfortable in his own skin and ease some of whatever suffering he may be going through, then she would do it. Not because he was attractive, or she lusted after him in some primal way, (She was human only by creation. Not of natural birth by a human woman. So those urges were something she felt to a degree, but not with the strength of that of a human by birthright.) but because she liked to help others and do what she could for them. Her blood had been a gift to her from her Master and love. Why not gift it to someone else to help them live as well?
"... Then you are more than welcome to take some of mine whether or not I am your pet."

...αωαкєи...fα¢є яєαℓιту...ℓιfє ιѕи'т α fαιяу тαℓє... He sighed at her first words and hand a hand through his pitch-black hair. No words left his lips though. Of course he had thought of that, a part of him didn't want to accept that though. Certainly there was a reason behind this, but he didn't know it. Or wouldn't admit it, not even to himself. If he couldn't understand the reason how would she be able to, besides he didn't need to explain himself to her... Tashihara's comments about him feeding made the man laugh, a low chuckle that resounded throughout the room. No, it didn't matter if the person was willing. Nor did morals have anything to do with his troubles. He had told her that she would need to be willing to give him blood, but the truth was it didn't matter. Whoever became his pet, whether it was this woman or someone else, would be someone he expected to supply him with the blood he so needed to survive. He wanted someone willing so that he wouldn't have to fight all the time just to get a meal. It wouldn't cause him an enormous amount of trouble to subdue his donor, but doing so got very boring very fast.
He listened as she continued on, the girl had yet to be anything but polite to him and Zephyr saw no reason to interrupt her. His eye lit with humor when she let her words trail off for a moment, looking into his eyes and then toward her mouth. He knew exactly what Tashihara was implying long before she finished speaking the thought. A half smile found it's way to his mouth and the man began to speak once more. "It is not necessary that my source be willing, Tashihara. That is merely something that I require. Morals have nothing to do with it either. Blood is my food, my sustenance, I need it to survive. If I am to live here for a prolonged period of time I would prefer a willing donor than having to subdue a person every time that I need to feed, thus I will expect my pet to be just that. At night there are fewer people outside, so it is less likely for there to be people to notice a struggle and try to intervene. Shadows provide a wonder place to hide, both from a victim and, again, from those that would notice a struggle. Dark alleys, shadowed forests, there are any number of places a normal vampire could hide in to wait for someone, to stay clear of prying eyes. I, on the other hand, can not. The darker the shadow is, the more it will burn me. I have to stay in bright areas, which also happen to be the places humans like to hang out in the most. This only makes things worse. I have to wait for the crowd to dwindle, too many witnesses and you get all manner of priests, monks and other 'holy' figures rallying the town for a vampire hunt. So, you see Tashihara, it is much worse that I am forced to live in the daylight. Vampires were meant to live in the darkness, yet even that has been taken from me." There was no mistaking the bitterness in his tone as the man spoke these words. The fact he must walk around in the daylight helped during these events for none suspected that the vampire they searched for would be walking right beside them, but these 'hunts' made things harder on him. He had lost many of his brethren because of the people who feared them enough to start these things, some of them good friends. He was no longer smiling, his face had gone expressionless as did his eyes. He did not need, nor did he want, her pity.
"I have never been able to feed as often as a normal vampire either. I have killed before when feeding because my hunger grew too great. I do not need to feed yet though, I can wait a few more days at least. And, you are welcome remain and speak with me Tashihara, I don't mind in the slightest." There he went again, telling her things that she hadn't asked about. She was surprisingly easy to talk to. Zephyr wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing though. There were some things he didn't want to anyone to know. He had made no comment on her first words, the ones about him having to accept and learn to live with what he was.

Tashihara Miyamota She heard his sigh when she began to speak and it's reasoning was lost on her thus she continued to speak. With her prior Master, he had always told her when she had done something wrong because he understood that she was learning how to think and act like a human. And although she had been alive for as long as she had, she was still no expert at it. In any case, she continued to watch him while she talked. Then he laughed. Again she wasn't sure why. And as she didn't know him well enough to tell if he was amused or what other thoughts or feelings he may be having, she simply let it be and didn't think to ask questions about it unless something was said. She listened to his explanations and thoughts on what she'd said and simply nodded. Even though she didn't fully agree with his reasons on some of the points, she chose not to argue with him about it. It wasn't worth it. If it was one thing she did know is that some people, regardless or race, etc, could be stuck in their ways. So she let it go. She had no issue with being a source of food for him. She wasn't offended or mortified. As she had thought before; her blood had been a gift to her, why not gift it to someone else to help them live as well. She could hear the bitterness in his tone. But again, she said nothing. He didn't seem to be a man that needed coddling.
"I see Sir. And thank you for allowing me to stay for a bit longer. Please tell me when you wish me to go."

He had expected her to say something or ask a question. The fewer questions she asked meant less things he would need to tell her so perhaps this was a good thing. He did notice that she had appeared a little confused by his actions, why was that? He knew she wasn't human, but he wasn't quite sure what her race was. Zephyr was grateful that she had offered him her blood, but he had his reasons for declining her offer. "Of course." He said with the barest hint of a smile returning to his features. "You may stay for as long as you wish Tashihara, I do not currently have any plans for today or the next few either. Come, let us sit down once more." Zephyr smiled slightly and led her back to the couch and armchair. He took a seat on the couch once more and leaned back in it then returned his gaze to the female. "You know my race now Tashihara, but I am curious as to what yours is. I only know that you are not human."

Tashihara Miyamota She looked at him as he spoke so as to begin to familiarize herself with his mannerisms through his speech. She had already made up her mind that she would become his pet. Or, a person to supply him with blood at the very least. Perhaps, if nothing else they could be friends? In any case, she listened to him. Nodding slightly in thanks and agreement, she walked back over to the chair she had been sitting in previously and sat. He then asked her what race she was. She was more than happy to tell him.
"I am half water elemental and half wind elemental. I am only human because my first Master was a great wizard and made me into the flesh and blood you see before you. Otherwise it would not be so."

Then again, he didn't always take the time to get to know people either, such actions could lead to...unnecessary feelings. It was easier to remain by himself. Now that he was here, he might as well have a pet though. The person who became his pet was likely to be someone he would be around everyday too, so he had cause for getting to know a potential pet. Tashihara had said she would consider becoming his pet, that was good enough for now. "I see. To cast such a spell must have taken a great deal of effort, your last master must have been a powerful man. I don't think I have ever met an elemental being before. I assume your abilities lie with water and wind then? And, if this human form of yours is the result of magic, what does your true form look like? Are you even able to return to it?" The number of questions Zephyr voiced surprised even himself. He usually wasn't so curious, at least not openly so. He had never met a being like her though, a rather shocking thing when one considered his age.

Tashihara Miyamota Again, she listened and watched him as he spoke before she answered his questions. She liked how curious he was about her. It gave them a chance to communicate and get to know one another which she was not opposed to at all. Smiling when he mentioned her first Master, she nodded. He was indeed a great man. Had been a great man. Someone she had loved and admired immensely.
"It did take him a great deal of effort. It was the last spell he ever cast. I believe part of his life force lives on with me. But of that I can not be sure. I'm glad I'm your first. I've never met a Vampire face to face before either. I've heard of them, but never gotten to know one. And you would be correct Sir. Wind and water are my specialties. My true forms are water and air. They can be in any shape and form. Even a human looking form. I learned that after becoming interested in humans during the second century of my life. I can show you if you like."

He nodded his head slightly when Tashihara said she thought a part of her previous master's life force lived on in her. It made some sense. depending on how you thought about it. A laugh almost escaped his mouth at her next words, the ones about her being his first, but he restrained it to a half-smile. The more he learned about her the more he wanted to know. She was so different from the people he usually met, it was a nice change. "To create something must be given: time, materials, effort. In a way, if you look at things in that way your master gave you a new form of life, life as a human. Surely, to create life some must be given. Perhaps not all of one's life but certainly a portion of it, so it would make sense for a part of your last master's life force to live on in you. Well, if you look at things in that way." Zephyr said this with a slight shrug then continued to speak. "I suppose that makes me your first as well, doesn't it? Though, as you already know, I am not your average vampire. I would like to see it, if you don't mind." He said in response to her offer of showing him her true form. It would be a lie to say he wasn't intrigued by her, but he was not likely admit this to her. Her age did not surprise him in the least. Zephyr himself was already over seven centuries old, and his sire's age had been even greater than that when he found and decided to turn Zeph.

Tashihara Miyamota She nodded when he spoke of what it took to create something and agreed with him to the last detail. She'd never thought of it that way, but she would now. Zephyr had just taught her something new. She liked him already. She was more than happy to share her true forms with him. Standing slowly she closed her eyes and transformed into her water form. She took a human looking form first. She was completely transparent. No water flooded the room or seeped into the carpet where she was. It was all self contained. She then took the form of a stream of water and wove her way through the furniture in the room. Coming up in front of the chair again, she then took on her wind form. He could see nothing of her save the soft rustle that resulted in the wind being present to embody her in the room. Then once again, she took on her human form that had been gifted her, and she stood looking at him with a soft smile.
"I hope you enjoyed that. I know I did."

It took only a moment for her to change, her body transformed into a clear liquid, water, and the male was nearly positive that if he were to reach out a hand Tashihara would be cool to the touch. Even as she stood there in this humanoid water form the ground did not become wet. The next thing she did surprised him, the only indication being a slight widening of his eyes. She turned into a stream and darted around the furniture in his sitting room before coming to a stop in front of her chair. Again, there was no water left behind. Next, Tashihara took the form of wind in one of its calmest states. Soft rustling and the feel of cool air on his skin were the only indications that she had not, in fact, disappeared.
That was another things about Zephyr that made him abnormal. His skin was not nearly as pale as a normal vampire's, because he was almost always in the sun, nor was it ice cold. Instead, it drifted between warm and cool. He nodded his head at the female's words. "I enjoyed it very much Tashihara. It was a very intriguing display. Did you possess complete control over your abilities when you came into existence? Or was it something you had to practice?" Zephyr did not use the term 'born' because he wasn't exactly sure how she came into being. He assumed she had complete, or almost complete, control over the her powers based on the little show she had just given.

Tashihara Miyamota Being born, coming into existence, it was all the same to her. The way elementals came into life was through a birthing process of sorts, but it was different than what humans went though. It was more that the child was formed in the mother and in an instant it came forth as though created by thought and fully formed. She had passed out of the front of her mothers belly and was born then. There had never been a womb or a period of gestation. She returned her attention to Zephyr and nodded, then smiled at his comments, then answered his questions.
"No, not complete control. I had to practice them. Zephyr, can you teach me more new things?"
Just as he had given her the new insight into her creation as a human by her late Master and love, she wanted to learn more things from him. She hoped he wouldn't mind.

He had never encountered an Elemental before and thus did not know which category they would fall under. Even Zephyr had needed to practice his own abilities after becoming a vampire, or some semblance of one. There were days when the man doubted what he was even though he knew it to be true. He was a bit taken aback when she asked if he would teach her more new things. No one had ever asked him to teach them something, not since his becoming a vampire anyway. There were so many memories from before that time that he had locked away. It was entirely possible that someone had asked him to teach them something during his human years. He doubted that anyone had though. "I suppose I could try. I have never taught anyone before though." The man said after a moment, shrugging his shoulders slightly when he spoke that last sentence.

Tashihara Miyamota She was excited once again by the prospect of learning something new. It could be anything. It mattered not to her. And she liked being with him thus far. Surely in all his centuries of life he knew things he could share with her. Bits of knowledge.
