The Misty grinned upon hearing the good news, "Alright then, lemme draw fire and you can let Rue rip it to shreds!" Before lunged at the creature, changing his grip on Vanna's handle to rotate the large wheel right into the Insanity-fueled thing's side. "Go Ofie! GO GO GO!!!" he hollered, biting back a grunt of pain as the creature dug into his FEAR shield.

The Sunny flashed a warm and thankful smile towards Before as he willingly took fire and the teen positioned herself again, launching at the monster with several hard strikes. Her attack wasn't as good as she would have liked, it could have been harder, but considering her success rate as of late she was more than pleased to have it connect. Not so pleasing was the hit she received as a return gift but beggars couldn't be choosers.
Landing back down on her knees she rolled out of the way, towards the monster's left, and nodded to Before. She was okay, she'd made contact, and they were going to get through this one way or another! "Yer up! Ah'm here if ya need me!"

Before was beside Ofelia before the Sunny could protest. After seeing her sustain that much punishment reminded the Misty that not so long ago he'd gotten himself into quite of a pickle for not getting patched up soon enough. "Sorry, I'm totes taking my cue as a Lifer-faker at the moment," he declared, planting Vanna in front of them to act as a shield while he drew out the bandages he had stuffed in his coat. Just for such emergencies. He was glad most of Ofelia's injuries weren't too deep, otherwise he'd need more than just bandages."There, good as new!" He declared and pulled Vanna free.

As Before came over and started to bandage her Ofelia wanted to protest, she was tired of being tied up basically and the feeling of bandages wasn't too welcome but he seemed to know what he was doing and she was thankful for that. Her cheeks burned red, almost the color of her hair, and she mumbled a soft thanks when he was finished. "Tha...thank ya. Ah'll make sure not ta let the bandages ya've used on me go ta waste."
The translation of that was that she went flying over and punched at the monster, taking another bug bite from it. She was doing okay, Rue was getting what she needed, and in the end she hoped they both could make it to their destination okay.
The only major problem is Ofelia wished the monster didn't hit back so well.

The monster did not like being ignored it seemed, and the fact that Before had taken the time to cease attacking seemed to have insulted it. Of course, said Before was unaware of this as he beamed at the Sunny's promise. "Good! Now let's bring it do-" he barely managed to raise Vanna to protect his bald face when the Misty was sent sailing from the monster's blow.

"Clover!" Ofelia watched as Before got knocked away and her face paled, not liking the looks of how this monster was hitting. She quickly moved in front of her fallen comrade and struck at the creature, taking a good hit to the arm but managing to get another charge into Rue. The knuckleduster was happy about that, her singing had started, and the teen turned to help Before to his feet. She was careful and gentle, as best she could be given the situation, and she made sure to stay standing in front of him for the moment. "Dun worry, Ah gotcha. We'll be okay."
Rue was cackling now.

Before tried to shake his head clear, he muttered. His ears were ringing and he was seeing double, which in hindsight should have told him to stay behind Ofelia until he got his senses back to working order. "I'm fine, I know you got my back."
He didn't want to be the burden. He was the Intermediate trainee here and he should be the one taking charge. Theoretically speaking that is. This was Before and he was more accustomed to following orders instead of giving them. Except Vanna was mentally nudging him to show some spine and take some ******** initiative.
Which he did by lightly sidestepping past Ofelia while the Sunny had her back to him. Except when he lunged to attack he got swatted away 8/ wow, Before, really?

Ofelia tried to push Before behind her but he decided to move ahead and the teen was worried as she saw him get knocked back. It looked painful, he wasn't going so well, and she stepped up to attack only to miss.
There was one good thing about being a Sun though, she would get a second chance.

The second chance had been worth it for as soon as Ofelia got within range she struck the monster, driving her weapon hard into its side. She was glad that at times it could be hit, considering she needed to hit it for her weapon to be charged, and Ofelia could hear Rue's song even stronger now. Her weapon was charged again, ready again.
"Clover, we're ready fer round two!" The Sunny moved over to the Misty's side and helped him up again, no trace of upset or annoyance on her face. Instead she looked like a mixture of hopeful and worried all at once, were it possible.

Bolstered and encouraged by Ofelia's support, the Misty doubled his efforts in his next attack. "You got it!" he declared, planting his feet so that when the monster batted at him, he was knocked back but not flat on his a** like earlier. "Time to go for the KO, Offie!" he cheered through the pain. He'll fix himself up in a bit. Right now, he needed to give Ofelia the right opportunity to strike. Kicking off the ground, Before managed to climb up on one of the half-crumbled support beams and jumped off in an attempt at an aerial strike. He could have hit harder, Before knew that but right now, any hit was a good hit.

Rue's singing hadn't stopped, which meant she wasn't ready to be used even though she was fully charged, so Ofelia found herself smacking the monster with a weapon who was holding out on her. The result was a bug bite and the return sent her crashing backwards, her FEAR shield now down to half strength. She was okay though, if Before could keep moving so could she, and it looked as though their enemy was on its final legs as well.
"Jus' a lil' bit more, we can get this done." Before received a thumbs up as Ofelia flexed her fingers inside her partner's frame. Only two people had taken this thing down, they could do it!

They were so close, so close to sending this thing to its final rest. But in his desperation for this to be over with, Before's aim faltered and instead struck air. "s**t!" he growled as he landed hard on his knees.

The Misty's muscles were starting to cramp on him, s**t s**t s**t! He didn't think he could take another swing without his joints completely locking up on him. Haphazardly, Vanna offered to use her FEAR to aid Before, which he opted to direct to Ofelia instead. She stands a better chance at taking that thing down than I do. he reasoned to his partner's mental protests.
Vanna huffed, Your faith better not be unfounded.

And just like that Before healed Ofelia again, she wasn't sure why he was doing it all for her, but she accepted the motion and kicked the monster with her boot. It must have been super low on health to begin with because it vanished as soon as her heel contacted the ground. As soon as it was gone Rue was sent away, still holding her full charge, and the teen rushed over to Before's side.
"Are...are ya okay?" She placed a hand gingerly on his shoulder, her brows creased with worry. "Ah got a bandage that Ah've been totin' since the missions Ah can use, if ya need it."

The Misty nodded, trying to blink away the spots dancing before his eyes. How exactly was he the more experienced one between the two of them? He squirreled away the nagging, self-deprecating thoughts for later, when he was back at the barracks and could maybe just bury his face into a pillow. Who knows, he might even suffocate. Oh if only.
"I-I'm good," he assured her, then chuckled weakly, "But I totes wouldn't say no to some bandaids."Rown We can do a bit more of RPing and then attempt to roll again?
