The thing darted at him, managed to sneak past Before's initial swing to round back on him. Before felt it strike the back of his knee, forcing him down to one leg. Annoyed, he reached out with a backhand, feeling his gloved hand strike something solid but at the same time not quite there. He shuddered at the strange sensation, glad that apart from these invisible observers no one he knew was around.

Before's aim became shaky when the thing tried to go for his other leg. Off balanced, the tip of Vanna's spike simply nicked the thing.

Somehow Before managed to pin the thing down. Of course he still felt claws and teeth digging into his foot through his boot but hey. Small price to pay as he brought Vanna's spike down onto the creature.
Thankfully he missed impaling his own foot~

As the thing rounded back on Before, the Misty batted the thing away with the back of his hand. He probably should have used Vanna. She would have been more effective...

Before knew he should have just gone with the initial plan of swinging Vanna like a loon instead of head-butting it out of existence like a certain movie character involving Evil Exes. However, it still worked. Barely. Most likely the creature just laughed itself out of Insanity.

Rubbing his forehead clean, Before continued on only to freeze in place at the sight of a dead Hunter. His heart seemed to still as he half-expected the body to rise and lunge for him with a desire for human flesh and warmth. And not in the sexy way.
Minutes slipped by to no additional movement save for Before's own breathing. The stillness encouraged him to reach for the Hunter's tablet, maybe he could give the dude's partner a proper burial... Except-Quote: 2-10: You find the body of a fallen hunter, their weapon tablet lies on the ground but crumbles as you reach for it. The pieces quickly shift and expand into a large, insane creature. It's form is not very solid, and more cloud-like than anything. Boss Stats

The Misty stared up at the thing that used to be a Hunter's partner. Before never met the Hunter when he was alive, there were too many of them and the Misty tended to stick to his fellow Trainees. Or his Room. But the very sight of this Insanity-filled creature and knowing that once upon a time, before that wretched Insanity-borne Phoenix assaulted Deus, the corpse on the ground was alive and the thing now lunging for him was partner filled Before with a fury that was best directed at the true source: Those ******** Horsemen.
The vaporous being glanced him, but Before felt chilled to the bone. The runes on his weapon flashed bright as he swung with his full strength at the creature. But it wasn't solid enough to have the full effect. Still, Before hit it and knew it had to be taken down.

Okay. So. That particular attack didn't go as well as Before had hoped. But at least it hit, which had been more than what his prior attempts had done >.> ********. CAN HE DO THIS ON HIS OWN!? Harrison wondered if there was some kind of limit for HELP texts, but he had given everybody that buddy lecture. He geared up and hoped it wasn't the bird again, because then he would definitely be texting someone.

Before wasn't sure who he sent messages to. He wasn't actually expecting anyone to arrive to help him. Like at all. It was a pleasant surprise, well, more than pleasant that someone came!
"Th-thanks!" he breathed in relief, recognizing it was Harrison. From behind the newly arrived Moonie, Before took this opportunity to attack as the Former-Weapon focused on the defending Trainee. Except its lack of a solid state made actually hitting it difficult.
"I-it's. It used to b-be..." Before stammered, trying not to let his anger and panic merge together and rend him useless. He swallowed thickly, his mouth suddenly very dry. "Tablet," he rasped.

Before was lucky that Ofelia had found her way to the labs earlier with Michael. Before was lucky that Ofelia had been practicing doing stuff with her phone or else his text would have resulted in her not coming and the phone just getting thrown onto the ground. This time around though luck seemed to be on everyone's side as the red-head made her way towards the labs, huffing and puffing by the time she reached there.
"Clover!" Was she...addressing Before as 'Clover'? Why, yes she was! "Ah'm hereeeeeeeee GAHHHHHH NOT 'NOTHER ONE'A THOSE." Ofelia barely had time to summon Rue before she rolled out the way, the monster coming into her line of sight. She ended up hurting herself trying to dodge, not really sure on what, and she got to her feet and dusted her knees and elbows off. Gotta play it cool, gotta play it cool.
You are so retarded. And there was Rue, always so kind and helpful. She have been speaking cruely but Ofelia could feel the joy in her voice, the desire to rend things asunder and sup on FEAR.
"Nice ta see ya again as well Harrison. Thanks fer yer help last time." Ofelia wasn't going to talk much more. . . .maybe. Really, she needed to focus on fighting and not get her butt handed to her again.
