~Daniel Michael Dwayne Sten~

---

Daniel stretched his arms as he sat up from his bed. "Time for class... Fun." He said to himself, sarcastically. He held in a yawn as he stood and walked to his closet. He pulled out his uniform and slowly dressed. He wasn't looking forward to class today. Russian 1 was Daniel's first period, and thankfully, he enjoyed it. His father had immigrated to the United States as a young boy with his family, so it was kinda cool to learn the language of his family. He grabbed his Russian textbook from his desk and stuck it into his backback. He would swing by later to get his Space Science book, since the dorm was close by. Daniel picked up his backpack and slung it onto his back and opened the door. He stepped out into the hallway, before turning back. He walked over and grabbed the first book of Naruto, that way he could have something to read in case he got bored. He looked down at the sketchbook on his desk with his name written in cursive on the front. He tucked it under his arm and left the room, closing the door quietly behind him.

"Mogu li ya vypitʹ chashechku kofe?" Daniel said for about the 10th time, in sync with his class and teacher. They were learning how to politely ask for a cup of coffee, for if they were in a Russian cafe. He had gotten it the first time, but it seemed that no one did. He flipped out his manga after the teacher said the rest of the class would be dedicated to mastering that sentence. It was nice to be re-reading Naruto after so long. He sat and read the first volume of the series until the bell rang, sending him out of class and back toward the dorm.

Adanessa Vanya, a tall, lithe young elf, perched on a cafeteria table bench, a tray of breakfast before her. On the tray sat toast, cereal, orange juice, and a seemingly out of place, large plate of bacon. Anyone who knew Adanessa would know she herself never ate meat. None had ever seen it pass her lips, yet it always vanished without a trace. She picked up a strip of the bacon, frowning at it with contempt. With a quick glance around the cafeteria, she poked the bacon into a small bag tied around her hips, into which it was promptly yanked. Then, she picked up her spoon and continued eating her cereal, scanning the room for the newcomers.

Across the room, she saw a boy with brick red hair, bright red eyes, and unbelievably pointed ears lounging on a bench with a sketchbook on his lap. Adanessa also noticed a teacher, seeming new, siting next to him, chatting cheerfully. She nodded to herself, seeing no one new yet, and lifted her own sketchbook off of the bench next to her, setting it on the table next to her tray. She glanced down at the bag, rustling just barely while her dragon, Rimedur, devoured the bacon. He could eat a lot for such a small creature. Smiling softly, she took out a soft, 2B pencil and began sketching the small, yet deceptively vicious reptile.

Rimedur was Adanessa's favorite subject and whenever he was able, always posed quite readily for her. This was one of the few days she even dared bring him out of her dorm, when the new students caused enough disturbance to distract the teachers. She wasn't supposed to have him at school, but she refused to leave home without him. They'd been together for as long as she could remember, but she was terrified someone would find out. So being careful had become second nature, just like fighting.

Rimedur poked his head out of her bag, staring intently at the red-haired boy. "No! Rimedur!" she softly reprimanded. "It's too dangerous! Get back in the bag!" Carefully, Adanessa tried to shove him back in the bag, struggling to pull the flap over his little, scaled head.

Gwen walked through the front gates of the school carrying her suitcase and her backpack. She saw a girl fighting to get something into her bag and a teacher with a wolf talking to a boy with dragon wings coming out of his back.
Nope. Nothing weird about this place. It's just another school. Sure... Granny can tell me all sorts of sweet stories about this place, but it is anything but normal.
Gwen sighs and continues on to her dorm. She enters dorm #5, sets her suitcase on the bed in the corner, and starts unpacking. Once she is finished, she looks at her watch, seeing it is almost time for her first class to start.
She grabs her backpack and takes off towards the Trigonometry classroom.
Once she arrives, she sits at a desk in the middle of the room, takes out her Trig book, and waits for the class to start.

Mena made her way through the halls. She finally found her dorm room and noticed that her roommate had already moved in. "I wonder who it is.." she said in a melodic voice. She sat down her suitcase on the side of her bed and took out her schedule. She looked it over and realized that Earth science was listed as her third class. She was rather happy because she liked learning about the environment.

After remembering all of her classes in order, she made her way to the cafeteria. She noticed that they were still serving breakfast, however she wasn't all that hungry. She simply just sat down at a table and began humming a classical tune.

The picture Marzak had been drawing was turning out quite well, especially because most of the students were already at class, leaving the cafeteria lacking of people. Just as he was about to look up at one of the tables to see if he drew it correctly, he heard a teacher introduce herself. He immediately recognized the name. "Ah. I'll be in your class then. I'm Marzak," he introduced himself to both human and wolf. Scratching Mahigan behind the ear, he set down his sketchbook. "And it's alright," he added. Marzak honestly had better drawings in his room, but he wouldn't say that out loud.

Marzak was thinking about heading to his dorm to get things for his first class, when he heard a noise. Not only that, but he smelled something familiar. Snapping his head up, he scanned the cafeteria until his eyes landed on a female, obviously Elvish, frantically stuffing something in her bag. He stared at her, confused and alert. The smell was painfully familiar, but Marzak couldn't place it.

Daphne opened the creaky cafeteria doors. She looked around. Most of the kids were already going to class, but Daphne was feeling quite famished. She went up to the lady who was giving food.

"Can I have a burger with fries?" Daphne asked. The lady gave it to her. Daphne payed and sat down next to the girl humming.

"Hi, I'm Daphne. What's your name? Daphne asked the girl. She bit into her burger. Maybe I came on too strong. Daphne swallowed at ate a fry.

Mena had been humming and was having a fantastical daydream when she heard a girl speak to her. "Hello Daphne, my name is Jimena, but you can call me Mena." The girl had an artsy feel to her which Mena liked. "How has your day been?"

Mahigan leaned into Marzak as he scratched behind her ear. "Mahigan says she loves that spot" Gaby told Marzak. He seemed puzzled as the wording Gaby chose. "We can speak to each other telepathically" she reassured him.

"I'm so glad to welcome you to my class, I'm sure you will enjoy it, and Mahigan has already made a friend I see" Gaby said smiling at the boy.

The boy looked up, sniffing the air. This confused Gaby, but not for long. She soon realized that he was looking at the lady across the caf. Noticing his interest, Gaby walked over to the girl (Mahigan staying behind with the boy still scratching her ear).

"Hello there, I'm Gaby, the Elemental and Band teacher. I know You don't have me as a teacher, but there is someone over there who I think would like to meet you. Would you like to join me?" She asked with a smile. She noticed something moving in her bag, but not wanting to reveal a secret someone was not yet ready to tell, she went on as if to not have noticed.

Sidai entered the Cafeteria hesitantly, poking her head in, hoping that it was empty, before following with the rest of her body. She tugged at the collar of her uniform. It was uncomfortably tight and so she loosened it a bit as she collected her breakfast. Cereal with a glass of orange juice. She shook her head with a pleasant smile as the lunch woman tried to foist some bacon upon her. "I'm sorry, I don't eat meat. Thank you, though."

She took the tray with her food on it, paying where she needed to, and made her way to a corner table, one table away from Adanessa. Her room mate. She'd only met her briefly while putting away her things in their room, and they hadn't really exchanged words. Sinai ate her cereal slowly, opening a well worn notebook, one she'd carried around all last year. She pulled out a pink pen, with a fluffy top and began writing.
'Day one, Sophomore year.
It's not off to a great start.
White is still not my color. I look pale, and sick.
The other students are friendly enough, but... well I'm more of a loner, as usual.'

She paused in her writing, taking another bite of cereal. She was extremely careful not to let any of the condensation from the bowl, or the milk, touch any part of her but the inside of her mouth. She wore a glove on her right hand, and picked up the glass of orange juice with that one. Taking a sip, she set down the glass again, glancing around the cafeteria.

Daphne smiled at the girl. She liked this girl.

"I just came and the only person I've met so far is you. What classes do you have?" Daphne bit into her burger and offered Mena a fry.

"You can call me Daphne, Daph, Rainbow, or Sunshine. I'm a Art fairy. What are you?" Daphne asked Mena. Mena seemed to have a nice feeling to her. I hope we can have fun together. Speaking of fun, who is my roommate? Daphne swallowed her bite and bit again.

Gwen was tired of waiting for the rest of the class to show up. She quickly copied down the notes from the board, opened her Trig book to the assigned page, and began on her homework.
Okay. Tan X = 1. So than the Tan Inverse of 1 = X. Than X = 45 degrees in the first Quadrant. Since in this problem, Tan is positive, and Tan is positive in the first and third Quadrants, X also = 225 degrees.
Gwen continued to solve the problems on the homework, all of it being easy to her. She had always been good at math, and Trigonometry was her best subject. She flew threw the rest of the homework until it was finished.
The bell rang for her to go to her next class. She put her finished homework on the teachers' desk, even though she didn't know where the teacher was, and left to go to Advanced Chemistry.

Adanessa whimpered softly as she continued trying to coax or coerce Rimedur back into the little bag. "Come on, get in! Do you want to get me in trouble!?" That seemed to convince the small dragon, and he immediately fell still. She glanced up, noticing those scarlet eyes resting on her, or, more specifically, on the soft black bag slung about her hips. It was then she noticed the dragon wings sprouting from the boy's back. It was strange these days to see a dragon so large he could shape-shift.

Suddenly a small n** on the palm of her hand broke her out of her distraction. "Ow! Sorry, Rime," she murmured, sneakily slipping another strip of bacon into the sack. "Now sit still," she commanded. Suddenly, the new teacher that had been siting by the young man spoke, and Adanessa jumped in surprise. "H-hello," she greeted back, timid only out of shock. The teacher had given her quite the scare. "I'm Adanessa Vanya, and no, I'm not in any of your classes. Um . . ." She paused in thought, looking up at the boy. Presumably, that was the person who wnated to meet her.

The boy intrigued her, so she was actually considering it, but it was best to consider the downsides. 'What if he finds out about Rimedur? He could tell people, and then I'll get kicked out. During my senior year, too. My mother would kill me . . .' She soon, however, deemed that highly unlikely and nodded. "Sure, that sounds like a good idea." As she stood, picking up her tray and stealthily stuffing the rest of the bacon in her pouch (she could imagine the field day Rimedur was having), she smiled warmly at the boy across the room. Hopefully, she'd make a good first impression.

Gabrielle and Adanessa Vanya made their way across the caf to where Marzak Lyzer was with Mahigan.

"Marzak, this is Adanessa" She introduced them. "And Adanessa, this is Mahigan. Don't worry, she wont bite." She said with a smile. "I hope you two had a good trip in. Classes are going to start getting tough. " She reminded them. "If there is anything you need, don't hesitate to ask. But for now, I must be off and meeting with the other teacher. Have a wonderful day." Gabrielle said and stared walking away with Mahigan not far behind.

'Did you just try playing match maker with your students?' Mahigan asked. 'No no, I just wanted to help the boy make a few friends, he seemed so lonely, and he seemed to want to have a connection with the girl.' Gabrielle laughed. The two then headed to the Teacher's lounge. She still had an hour before Music class

(OOC: is there a teacher's lounge? if not, i'll change that to something else)

~Brittany Alexandra Warne~

Years of love have been forgotten, in the hatred of a minute...

They judge by the way we look...

The cover's not quite like the book

is a powerful thing, don't abuse it

Brittany came rushing through the gates of the school with her textbooks in her arms. She was always late, but it was very unlikely for her to be late on the first day of a new school. Sleeping in was her thing if you couldn't already tell. Her long, grayish/blueish hair almost covered her entire face, blocking out most of her vision. She brushed her hand aganist her forehead, moving the hair from her face as she reached the the huge double doors. Expecting that they would be fairly hard to open, she grabbed the handle to the door on the right and yanked. Brittany let out a small yelp as she flew backwards, holding onto the handle as the door opened smoothly and quickly.
Once she regained her balance she let go of the handle and stood straight as he walked into the new school she was going to attend. She hesitated to continue walking in, nervous about how the others were going to think about her once they had found out that she was demon, though a descent amount of these students were non-human they still had opinons. She moved her left foot forwards, right, left... You know, walking.
She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath as she walked, letting out all of her worries... Well at least trying to.
Once she had opened her eyes she began walking to her next class, considering that she had missed most her first class. As she ran she looked down at the ground as she ran, which wasn't the best idea considering all of the turns and dead ends.
Once she had lifted her head up she had found herself running straight into a guy, well it had to be a guy. It was flat chested. Her books fell out of her arms.

"Oh, well I guess I really am that short... Sorry about that, I should have been paying attention." Brittany said looking up with her head in an awkward angle, making eye contact... well trying to make eye contact anyways. She was trying to keep her anger conseald within her instead of blowing up on the blonde haired guy standing infront of her.

Just because I'm a demon, doesn't mean I don't like rainbows!
