And then she missed, the feeling in her legs preventing her from moving properly forward. The body had been in the way as well, Ofelia forgetting and remembering it at the same time, and she staggered backwards before tripping over it and landing on the ground. She came to a rest with her face close to that of the deceased hunter, prompting a scream that sent her up onto her feet and into the insanity beast that had no problem hitting her.
The end result was her barely staying on her feet, swaying side to side as Rue threatened to leave Ofelia in that place and to her own devices. It was horrible enough that she'd missed before but now, to miss a FEAR charge and then panic because of a dead body? The Boo Hag was livid.

The vague text for help had given Harrison ******** to go on, but using the word Sun and his incredible detective skills, he took a wild guess and headed to the Shadow Run.
To his relief, it wasn't empty. He recognized the Hunter who'd limped through most of the save-the-world-mission.
"You Ofelia?"
He put B0nez between her and the fog monster.
Harrison hoped she was Ofelia, because otherwise he was out of ideas.

"Me Ofelia." She felt like Tarzan talking, and she looked at the person who arrived and was properly defending her. "Ya. . . uh . . .. . . okay sorry, Ah was in a panic so Ah jus' hit random names on mah phone an' Ah'd say yer name but mah phone's over there -" She pointed. "-an' Ah obviously ain't able ta read it from here."
She wasn't going to cry, dammit she wasn't going to cry - and so she didn't. Instead Ofelia shakily pulled herself to her feet and winced at the wound on her chest. Everything else she could ignore the pain from but the one caused by a certain red-head's actions burned the worst and left her for want of no injuries. Also, she needed to attack because holy crap the thing was coming closer. A quick strike from her weapons sent it back a bit and, for some reason, the pain didn't come.
" . . .are ya makin' it so it dun hurt me?" Okay, Ofelia had never been protected before and hadn't been paying attention to when people were fighting and defending one another. She liked to just look straight ahead, that was what being a Sun was all about.

"Harrison. And yeah, that's the idea," Harrison said, keeping his attention on Ofie more than the monster.
Jerry, Jordan, Rep, and Bix all had weapons that required short-range defense, but Ofie had the short-range covered. He could appreciate a the simple need to stab things.
"I like your knives," he said. He needed to get himself a set of Barrier Daggers.

Ofelia's cheeks turned almost as red as her hair at the compliment over her weapon, and Rue was practically crowing with delight as well. "Um...thank ya fer sayin' that. Ah dunno what Ah'd do if she was jus' a normal knuckleduster, but ya see - " The conversation paused as the monster came closer, prompting Ofelia to curse at it with a thick southern accent and kick it back using both of her hands. The weapon struck but Rue didn't taste any FEAR, too full. "Um, as Ah was sayin - she's jus' brass knuckles wit' blades on 'em but Ah'm good at punchin'. Yer weapon is swords?"
This conversation felt weird, like she was missing something. They'd both given their names.
What was she missing?
. . . . wait, there we go.
"OH ALSO NICE TA MEET YA SORRY FER CRYIN' ON YA EARLIER AN' MAKIN' TROUBLE FER YA WIT' REP AN' JORDAN ALSO THANK YA FER COMIN' AN' SAVIN' ME."
Delayed reaction, - 10 to paying attention.

"Yeah, swords," Harrison said. "I think both are Cutlasses, even though one of them's shorter. They both got the hand guards. B0nez and me just got a point of agreement on dual-wielding."
Harrison blocked a retaliation from the strike.
"It's alright, if it weren't for the element theme they'd have probably stuck our division with a name like Rescue Rangers. ...You know Rep and Jordan pretty well?"

Ofelia really shouldn't talk while trying to attack because she always ended up missing but hey - someone new to speak with! "Ahhhh, Ah see." A grin spread over her face as this person called Harrison explained the difference in his blades from them being swords, and she nodded. It wasn't like she'd remember unless she went and looked it up later but for now she was going to do her best to separate a cutlass from like...the sword that Marcus had.
And then the topic came back to Jordan and Rep like she thought it might have when she mentioned their names. Her cheeks flushed red again, this time though with happiness rather than nerves at being complimented. She would have poked herself in the face if she hadn't been trying to swat off the monster thing, and Ofelia nodded her head a few times to sort out what she wanted to say. "Jordan gave me his coat when we first met an' Ah think he's an awesome guy like an older brother or sommin'. Rep keeps callin' me all kinds'a names an' then he hit me hard wit' his weapon an' put me in a coma durin' our spar an' . . .well, oops. Wasn' supposed ta say that, jus' uh..ignore that bit." She wasn't going to say that out loud but she did. Apparently Ofelia really liked talking to new people. " . . um, Ah still like 'em though, even if he doesn' like mah hugs an' verbally abuses me. Jus' a shy guy Ah think."

"So her name's Sunny? Huh, guess Ah wasn' really listenin' an' yeah, everyone was all kinds'a sobbin' an' stuff." Ofelia turned to hit the monster, surprised at how close it had managed to get to her and Harrison while she spoke. An irritated hiss escaped her lips, followed by a cry of pain, as both she and the creature contacted against one another at the same time.
The exchange of blows didn't send her backward like it would have before but it left a welt stinging against her stomach. Her chest heaved, it was starting to hurt to breathe. With her FEAR shield up everything was okay but with it down? Ouch. "Ugh, sorry 'bout that. Looks like it got closer than Ah thought." She placed a hand on her chest, pushing against it. No pain, no pain.

"Sorry, Ah'll pay better attention." Ofelia wasn't used to being defended, she didn't really like it much either. It wasn't that Harrison was slowing her down, he was actually making her worry. what if an attack missed and hit him, things like that. Wasn't he one of Jordan's friends? Ofelia was pretty stupid but she could tell how people looked at one another. The extent of their looks. . . um, not so much.
When the monster came close she struck it hard again, sending it back and giving herself some breathing room. It was taking forever to draw down, but she wasn't about to give up. "That fog stuff made me hear voices. First time in a long time Ah felt kinda at peace."

Hmmmm, so Harrison was another person who didn't like their past? Maybe lots of people had horrible things in their past they'd rather not talk about. Ofelia was curious enough she wanted to know but the fact she was supposed to be going after the monster in front of her rather changed how she could idle and gossip.
The end result was her moving forward and delivering another set of small blows to the creature, slowly whittling down its hp. "Ah wonder, if Ah die will this happen ta Rue? Will she turn inta sommin' like this?"
Like hell I will. The weapon's cool confidence was nice.
