That actually made Mot feel a little better. Not so disposable, but someone of use. Okay, Thana won points back.
"Moira.. I'm not sure if I've heard of those." Mot replied, looking at the boil curiously. "Is that a reaper clan?" Mot felt like it was now story time, so to speak. He was eager to learn about Thanatos a little more. He wasn't sure he remembered the last time he'd met a reaper that came from a House of anything. Maybe when he was a little kid. His mother did always take him to fancy places for whatever reason.

"You could call it a clan, yes, but it's more like a species," He laughed, wondering how to best explain to Mot about the three different families within the same classification of reapers, "Moira reapers are divided into three different houses, and while we have the same ability of foresight, it's more accurate to say that we share this ability. Every situation has three parts to it-" He held up three fingers, "-the event that leads to it, the main event, and the conclusion. Clotho is the first."
He sighed, putting his hand down before shrugging, although his grin never quite left his face, "But it's no secret that the three families don't get along. You could say that they have a feud, so nobody had been able to get a full reading for decades now... The only redeeming thing is that the feud is quite amusing to watch."

That all sounded kind of important.
"Amusing?" Mot had to chuckle. "I guess that depends on what kind of entertainment suits your fancy." Evidently the family drama was like a soap opera for this guy. Still, a feud that lasted decades? That sounded somewhat familiar. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. Something to do with never getting to go out and meet his extended family...

"You better hope I never get a vision while I'm with you," He sounded all too happy despite the graveness of his words, although he really was looking out for Mot's reaction, "Another thing about Moira reapers is that we almost never see positive futures. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that our ancestors were rather pessimistic people."
A short pause followed as he stroked his chin, "Although I had observed a rather interesting trend among the students of this school... Everyone I've spoke to so far seem to believe in having the ability to change their fate. Are you the same, Mot?"

Mot chuckled nervously. That sounded kind of ominous. He'd just have to hope he had fair warning then? "Nothing positive? Really?" That seemed depressing, he thought.
Mot smiled somewhat to Thanatos's observation. "That doesn't surprise me." The student body tended to be a very proactive bunch. When the question was turned around to him, Mot tilted his head curiously. "Hm.." He hummed, trying to think about it. "It's a difficult thing, really. Who's to say out attempts to change fate aren't already preordained?"
He laughed and rubbed his neck. "I suppose I'm on the fence."

"As far as I know? Nothing positive," He chuckled, shaking his head before pausing to listen to Mot. The boil's opinion earned a grin from him, "Interesting view… It’s true. Sometimes, looking to prevent something might actually lead to it instead. There are many paths to take, after all, and the only ending certain in life is death... Isn’t it best to live in the moment? You can’t change the past, and the future is uncertain~"
He leaned against the back of his seat with a soft sigh; he came out here to relax and somehow ended up talking to another reaper about some rather deep stuff... Heh, how unpredictable.
Biskoto, meanwhile, had opened an eye, spotting the thin-thing-with-a-hat seated next to Thanatos, before falling asleep again; this is insignificant right now, but sometime in the future, it is very important for the familiar to have seen Mot before.

"It's best to do what you can, when you can. Learn from the past since it will never change. I try and act so that I won't have regrets, but they tend to happen anyway." Mot said surprisingly lightheartedly. Regrets happened. Mot chose to simply learn from them. Holding onto his despair would only harm himself and his friends.
Mot sunk further into his chair, the warm fire seeming to subdue any worries. Unfortunately it also made him feel very lazy. He wouldn't be getting up for anything any time soon. He let the back of the chair push off his hat, allowing it to tumble onto his lap.
"This chair is dangerous." He commented. "It sucks you in."

"It is currently the world's most comfortable chair," He agreed, closing his eyes as he yawned, putting his hands behind his head, making himself comfortable.
He was slowly drifting off to sleep.

No, he mustn't sleep here. It was not proper. No, he'd get up soon. He simply.. needed to rest his eyes a moment.
Just a moment.
...
And then that moment ended.
Mot was conked out.
